Features
WHAT IS THE 2 IN 1
The Breville Mistic 2 in 1™ Connect Tower Fan & Humidifier features both a
cooling fan and a humidifier. The humidification feature will assist in
keeping a comfortable environment at home by adding water vapour (moisture) to
the surrounding atmosphere.
Assembly
BEFORE FIRST USE
Before using your Mistic 2 in 1™ Connect Tower Fan & Humidifier for the first
time, remove all packaging material and promotional labels. Check for any
missing or damaged parts as per the components list. Remove the water outlet
cap from it’s packaging, and plug the cap into the hole found under the water
container on the back of the tower fan.
ASSEMBLE THE BASE
To assemble the base to the body of the tower fan, turn the body upside-down.
Align mark ‘1’ on the base with mark ‘1’ on the bottom of the body. (Fig 1)
To lock the base to the body, turn the base clockwise so mark ‘1’ of the body aligns with mark ‘2’ on the base. (Fig 2) Turn the tower fan upright.
Operation
OPERATING YOUR 2 IN 1 TOWER FAN & HUMIDIFIER
- Place the tower fan on a flat surface. Insert the power plug into a 230V or 240V power outlet and switch on at the outlet.
- Touch the button on the control panel to turn the tower fan on and the front pivot grille cover will open softly. When switched on for the first time, the fan will start automatically on NORMAL mode, at fan speed 5.
- The LED display screen will illuminate and alternate between the room ambient temperature and current fan setting. Both and . will illuminate alternately, depending on when ambient temperature is displayed on the LED display screen. To turn the tower fan off at any time, touch the button on the control panel and the front pivot grille cover will automatically close.
NOTE:
- The fan will always operate when turned on.
- The fan cannot be turned off to operate on humidification only. The humidifier however can be turned on or off to operate on fan only.
- When the tower fan is ON, Wi-Fi will attempt to connect automatically. If a connection has been made, the Wi-Fi symbol will stop flashing and illuminate. If a connection is not made, the Wi-Fi symbol will stop illuminating. See Wi-Fi Connectivity in this book for more details.
- After 15 hours of non-stop operation, the tower fan will automatically turn off.
- The tower fan is fitted with a power saving feature. The LED display screen will dim after 40 seconds if none of the control panel buttons have been touched. The LED display screen will re-illuminate if a button on the control panel is touched.
ROOM AMBIENT TEMPERATURE
Your Breville Mistic 2 in 1™ Connect Tower Fan & Humidifier is fitted with a
temperature sensor that detects the room temperature (in °C) which will
display on the LED display screen. The number displayed is only an indication
of the room temperature and will vary depending on the location of the fan in
the room.
Functions
COOLING MODES
Your tower fan has 4 cooling modes:
NORMAL, NATURAL, NIGHT and ECO. The tower fan will start automatically on
NORMAL mode on speed 5 when the fan is first switched on or after it is
reconnected to a power supply.
- To choose between these cooling modes, press the button found on the remote control only, until the corresponding symbol illuminates on the LED display screen. The LED display screen will illuminate and alternate between the room ambient temperature and current fan setting.
- To change or cancel a cooling mode, press the button to change the mode, or the ON/OFF button to stop operation.
NOTE:
The tower fan has a memory function and will return to the same fan speed and
mode it was set at when it was turned off. This will only occur if the tower
fan is not unplugged and/or switched off at the power point.
The memory function is not available for humidification mode.
NORMAL MODE
NORMAL mode has 12 fan speed settings; 1 being the lowest, and 12 the highest,
with the default speed at 5. To choose a fan speed setting, touch the +
and – buttons on either the control panel or the remote, until the desired
number flashes on the LED display screen 3 times, then sets.
NORMAL mode is the default mode settings for this tower fan. In NORMAL mode, no light illuminates on NATURAL, NIGHT or ECO on the LED display screen.
NATURAL MODE
Continuous air flow can create a chilling effect on the skin and a discomfort
when exposed for too long. NATURAL mode generates a gentle breeze to maintain
body temperature by simulating wind blowing rhythm, automatically alternating
wind speeds according to pre-programmed cycles. NATURAL mode has 4 cycle
programs. Each cycle is made of two low speeds and two high speeds alternating
randomly within a fluctuating time range.
To choose a cycle program, touch the + and – buttons on either the control panel or the remote until the desired number flashes on the LED display screen for 3 seconds, then sets.
NIGHT MODE
NIGHT mode ensures the tower fan remains quiet, dimming the lights on the
control panel and LED display screen, allowing for a more comfortable night’s
rest.
To choose a fan speed setting, touch the + and – buttons on either the control panel or the remote until the desired number flashes 3 times on the LED display screen, then sets.
Depending on the set fan speed, the fan speed will reduce by 1 every hour until the lowest speed is reached (speed 1).
ECO MODE
ECO mode will save energy and operate quietly on fan speed 1 and is ideal to
be used during sleep or when left on for a long period of time.
NOTE:
Fan speed in ECO mode cannot be manually adjusted.
AUTO-OFF AND AUTO-ON TIMER
The tower fan comes with a 12-hour auto off timer to turn the tower fan off
after a set number of hours. It also comes with a 12-hour auto-on timer that
will turn on after a set number of hours. Both can be set in 30 minute (0.5)
increments up until 10 hours. After 10 hours, both can be set in 1 hour
(1) increments and will switch the tower fan into standby mode after the selected number of hours have elapsed. The auto-off timer and auto-on timer can be set on any MODE, including humidification mode. Either timer may be set by using the remote control only.
AUTO-OFF TIMER Example: Set the auto-off timer to 6 hours, and the tower fan will stop operating after 6 hours.
AUTO-ON TIMER Example: Set the auto-on timer to 6 hours, and the tower fan will start operating after 6 hours.
To confirm the setting, press the timer button again.
AUTO-OFF TIMER
Touch the button on the remote and will flash along with “0.5” on the LED
display screen. Touch the + and – buttons on either the control panel
or the remote control, until the desired number of hours flashes on the LED
display screen. Press the button on the remote control to start the timer. The
time will display on the LED display screen, and the symbol will illuminate.
The timer will start on the selected mode, and the mode will stop
automatically once the timer has expired.
NOTE:
If TIMER is touched on the remote but no action is taken, the tower fan will
exit TIMER. Touch the button on the remote to return to TIMER.
The LED display screen will not indicate the remaining auto-off time, instead the LED display screen will return to the set fan setting. Press the button on the remote, and the remaining time will display on the LED display screen.
To cancel the pre-set auto-off time anytime once the timer is set, press and hold the button on the remote for 2 seconds and the symbol will no longer illuminate.
NOTE
- The timer can be set on all modes and all modes can be adjusted at any time once the timer is set.
- The tower fan will switch to standby mode once the set time has elapsed.
- To check the pre-set time left on the LED display screen, press the button on the remote once.
AUTO-ON TIMER
Auto-on can only be set when the tower fan is on standby mode.
Press the button on the remote. The symbol will begin to flash and “0.5” will display on the LED display screen. Press the + and – buttons on either the control panel or the remote until the desired number flashes on the LED display screen.
Press the button again on the remote to set the auto-on timer. The time will display on the LED screen and the symbol will illuminate. The timer will start on the last selected mode, and the fan will start automatically once the time has elapsed.
NOTE:
If TIMER is pressed on the remote but no action is taken, the tower fan will
exit TIMER. Press the button on the remote to return to TIMER.
The LED display screen will not display the remaining auto-off time, instead the display will return to the set fan setting. Press the button on the remote and the remaining time will display on the display screen.
To cancel the auto-on time anytime once the timer is set, touch and hold the button for 2 seconds and the symbol will no longer illuminate.
NOTE
- The auto-on timer can only be set when the fan is on standby mode.
- The tower fan will turn on once the auto-on timer has elapsed.
- The tower fan will operate on the last selected mode.
- To check the pre-set time left on the LED display screen, press the button on the remote.
OSCILLATION
The tower fan has horizontal oscillation.
The oscillation can be set on any MODE, including humidification mode.
To activate oscillation, touch the button once. The tower fan will move left to right continuously.
To stop and direct the orientation of your tower fan during oscillation, touch the oscillation symbol again when the airflow has reached your preferred position.
HUMIDIFICATION
The Breville Mistic 2 in 1TM Connect Tower Fan & Humidifier comes with the
added benefit of humidification. The humidifier can be set on any MODE and
emits a mist at the same time that the fan is operating.
To fill the water container before use, press the water container release button found on the outside of the water container on the back of the tower fan and it will disengage for easy removal. Turn the water container upside- down and remove the water container cap. Fill the water container with fresh water and replace the water container cap before reassembling the water container (upright) back into the tower fan.
NOTE
Keep the tower fan straight when moving if there is water in either the water
tank or water inlet basin as water may spill out. Some water may remain in the
basin of the water inlet basin at the back of the tower fan, separate to the
water container. This is normal. To drain excess water after use, position the
tower fan above a drainage source and remove the water outlet cap from the
back of the tower fan. Tilt the tower fan backwards towards the drainage
source.
REMOTE CONTROL
The tower fan comes with a remote control. This remote control features the
same icons as the control panel on the tower fan and can be used the same way.
The remote control has two additional controls not found on the control panel.
The two functions MODE and TIMER can be set using the remote control only.
Refer to the MODE and TIMER sections of this book for more details.
To avoid misplacing your remote control, place the remote control between the carry handle, and the controls of the tower fan frame.
USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
Your remote control requires 2 x AAA batteries (NOT INCLUDED).
To insert the batteries, open the battery compartment at the back of the remote by forming a good grip of the remote and pressing then sliding the battery cover towards the bottom of the remote. The battery cover should slide off.
Insert the 2 batteries paying attention to the polarity (+ and -).
Slide the back battery cover back onto the remote by lining the 2 tabs on the battery cover with the 2 grooves on the back of the remote body. Ensure the battery compartment is correctly secured so batteries remain in place.
NOTE
To use the remote control, it must be pointed at the LED display screen and
used within five meters of the tower fan.

Care Cleaning & Storage
CARE AND CLEANING
When switching off the tower fan, the front pivot grille cover will rotate
automatically to protect the air outlet grille. This will help to keep the air
outlet grille clean. Wait until the front pivot grille cover is fully closed
before switching off at the power outlet. Unplug from the power outlet prior
to cleaning the base, grilles, housing, water container and water inlet basin.
CLEANING EXTERNAL PARTS
To clean the outside of the tower fan, wipe the exterior with a soft, damp
cloth. Never use an abrasive cleaner.
Ensure all parts of the tower fan are clean and dry before storing.
CLEANING THE HUMIDIFIER INTERNAL PARTS
WATER CONTAINER, WATER CONTAINER CAP & SEAL
- Remove the water container and unscrew the water container cap with seal.
- It is important to clean the water container regularly and ensure it is dry before reassembling and using thehumidifier function.
- To clean, create a vinegar and water solution of 1-part vinegar to 1-part water, enough to fill the container about halfway.
- Making sure the water container cap is replaced on the container, swish the solution around for a minute, then fill the rest of the container up with tap water. Leave to sit for 1–2 hours, or even overnight.
- Empty and rinse well with clean water.
WATER INLET BASIN
Build-up of calcification may occur in the water inlet basin and should be
removed and cleaned to ensure optimum performance. Remove the water container
to clean the water inlet basin.
- Ensure the water outlet cap remains in place. If build-up of calcification is present in the water inlet basin, rinse with a vinegar and water solution and let soak for 10 minutes. Remove the water outlet cap and drain the vinegar water into a drain source. Replace the water outlet cap. Rinse with clean water and drain once more.
- With a damp cloth, wipe the tube, mist cover and water inlet basin (Fig. 3).
- If there is calcification on the surface, soak a clean cloth with 1:1 parts vinegar and water solution and repeat the process until removed. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
Ensure all parts of the tower fan are dry before storing.
NOTE:
Do not wash the water inlet basin under a water faucet to avoid water flowing
or splashing into the internals of the unit, possibly damaging the internal
electrical parts.
STORAGE
When not in use, store the tower fan upright, in a cool, clean and dry
location.
