Required Tools: ( Not included)
- Phillips screwdriver
- 8 mm wrench
- 4 mm Allen wrench
WARNING
CAUTION: To avoid potential shock or another injury, turn the power switch OFF and disconnect the charger before performing any assembly or maintenance procedures. Failure to follow these steps in the correct order may cause irreparable damage.
Step 1
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four (4) screws on the deck plate.
Step 2
Using a Phillips screwdriver and a 8 mm wrench, remove the two (2) screws and
locknuts on the rear deck plate.
Step 3
Using a 4 mm Allen wrench, remove the two (2) hex bolts. Remove the deck plate
and set aside.
Step 4
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two (2) screws on the battery
bracket. Remove battery bracket and set aside. Carefully lift out the
batteries from the battery tray.
Step 5
Using a Phillips screwdriver remove the screws on the chain guard. Remove the
chain guard and set aside.
Step 6
Using a Phillips screwdriver remove the four (4) screws that hold the motor to
the frame, turn the motor clockwise. This will allow you to remove the chain
from the sprocket on the motor.
Step 7
Disconnect the motor from the controller and using a small screwdriver or even
a paper clip depress the locking pin on the prongs. Remove the connector from
the wires, if you are not reusing your motor you can just cut the wires.
Step 8
Turn the motor counterclockwise so that the shaft from the motor points to the
front of the unit and slide the motor down and pull the wires from the battery
tray.
Step 9
- Reverse the procedures.
- Mount your motor on the frame and insert the wires into the battery tray
- Before securing the motor with the screws install the chain onto the sprocket on the motor and then fasten the screws
- Install the white connector on the wires from the motor (black wire on motor connects to brown or yellow wire from controller and red from the motor connects to the blue wire from the controller) and reconnect controller and motor.
- Place the batteries back on the battery tray and secure them with a battery bracket and reinstall the chain guard.
- Re-attach deck cover with screws and hex bolts…
