BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.
INTENDED USER PROFILE:
The intended use should be a licensed medical professional, the patient, or
the patient’s caregiver.
The user or caregiver should be able to read, understand and be physically
capable of performing all the directions, warnings, and cautions provided in
the information for use.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS:
The Procare Hip Abduction Pillow is designed to help position the hips away
from the center of the body (abduction). It may be suitable for post-operative
use to maintain hip abduction.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
Providing immobilization or controlled movement of the limb or body segment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
If you have skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the body, the
product should be used only after consultation with a medical professional.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
- If you experience any pain, swelling, changes in sensation, or other unusual reactions occurring while using this product, you should contact your medical professional immediately.
- Do not use over open wounds.
- Do not use this device if it was damaged and/or the package has been opened. NOTE: Contact manufacturer and the competent authority in case of a serious incident arising due to usage of this device.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
- Place a pillow between the patient’s legs with the narrow end of the pillow toward the body. Slide the pillow upward until the prescribed angle of the hips is obtained. Legs should fit comfortably into the contours on the sides of the pillow.
- Secure pillow to legs with straps, fastening the pressure-sensitive closures for a snug but comfortable fit.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
Hand washes in warm water using a mild soap. Rinse thoroughly. AIR DRY. Note:
If not rinsed thoroughly, residual soap may cause irritation and deteriorate
the material.
WARRANTY:
DJO, LLC will repair or replace all or part of the unit and its accessories
for material or workmanship defects for a period of six months from the date
of sale. To the extent the terms of this warranty are inconsistent with local
regulations, the provisions of such local regulations will apply.
