INTRODUCTION
SCOPE
This instrument can be used to measure the moisture level in sawn timber (also paper, cardboard) and hardened materials (mortar, concrete and plaster). It displays the moisture level directly. In addition, it can also measure environment temperature. It is portable and very easy to use.

SYMBOL MEANINGS
OPERATING THE MOISTURE METER

Press the button once to turn on the meter.

Select desired measurement mode.

After the meter has been turned on press and hold down the button for about 3 seconds to enter setting mode (reading disappears, symbol starts flickering on the display).

While symbol is flickering on the display, press the button until the meter is in the desired measurement mode and the corresponding symbol flickers on the display.
The four modes are as follows:
Wood moisture measurement mode flickers
Material moisture measurement mode flickers
Centigrade temperature mode “C” flickers
Fahrenheit temperature mode “F” flickers -
After the desired measurement mode is selected, don’t operate the meter. Wait 3 seconds, the meter exits Setting Mode automatically. Now you can start to measure.

Performing Measurement
- For temperature measurements, the display shows the present environment temperature directly.
- To perform moisture measurements, read the reading on the display.

Automatic Power-Off Feature
- In wood moisture or material moisture or material moisture measurement mode, if you don’t operate the meter (or the reading does not change) for approximately 15 seconds, the meter will turn off automatically.
- In Celsius or Fahrenheit temperature measurement mode, the meter will turn off automatically approximately 15 seconds later.
- In any mode, after the symbol LJ appears, the meter will turn off automatically approximately 15 seconds later. In this case, you should replace the batteries immediately.

After the meter is turned on, pressing the button turns on the backlight. Approximately 3 seconds later, the backlight turns off automatically.
MAINTENANCE
- Keep the meter dry.
- Keep the probes clean.
- Keep the meter and battery out of the reach of children.
- Some factors (such as material type and temperature) can effect moisture measurement result.
- When the symbol t::±1 appears, the batteries are low and should be replaced.
Ensure that battery polarity connections are correct when replacing
batteries.
If the meter is not to be used for any prolonged period, remove the batteries.
DISPOSAL
- At the end of the products working life, or when it can no longer be repaired, ensure that it is disposed of according to national regulations.
- Contact your local authority for details of collection schemes in your area.
- In all circumstances:
- Do not dispose of power tools with domestic waste.
- Do not incinerate.
- Do not abandon in the environment.
- Do not dispose of WEEE* as unsorted municipal waste.
