METALCEILING Tin Ceiling Tiles User Guide
PAINTING UNFINISHED TIN CEILING TILES
CLEANING:
- Make sure tile is dry and clean from dirt and
- Lightly sand the surface of the tile with fine-grit sandpaper to help the primer and paint adhere
- Wipe the tiles with a tack cloth to remove any sanding
PRIMING:
- Always be sure to do a test swatch on the back of the tile before starting your
- Apply a primer using a small foam roller, brush, or paint
- Make sure to apply an even layer and let primer dry completely, according to manufacturer’s

ii. Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer
