SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read carefully and save for future use!

Warning: The safety precautions and instructions in this manual do not cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. The user must understand that common sense, caution and care are factors that cannot be incorporated into any of the products. These factors must therefore be provided by the user(s) using and operating this appliance. We are not liable for damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use, or the modification or adjustment of any part of the appliance. Fundamental precautions shall be observed when using the product, including the following:

  1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage provided on the appliance label and that the socket is properly grounded. The outlet must be installed in accordance with applicable electrical codes according to EN.
  2. Never use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged if a fall or any other damage occurred or the device is not working properly. All repairs, including cord replacements, must be carried out at a professional service centre! Do not remove the protective covers from the appliance; there is a risk of electric shock!
  3. Do not immerse the appliance and the power cord in liquids, do not expose to rain or humidity and use water only for cooking in accordance with this operating manual. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the power cord, plug or base in water or any other liquid.
  4. Do not plug in the appliance or use the control panel with wet hands.
  5. First connect the plug to the appliance and then plug the cable into an electrical outlet.
  6. Do not touch the inside of the appliance during operation.
  7. The appliance must not be used close to water, in bathrooms, showers or close to pools, where it might fall in water or water may splash the product.
  8. Do not bend the power cord over the edge of a table or other sharp edges, do not twist it or leave it in the vicinity of hot surfaces.
  9. Always use the appliance on a level, stable surface to prevent it from tipping over and to prevent spillage of hot liquids. Do not use the product in sinks, dripping off areas and other places with uneven surface.
  10. Do not put the appliance in places where it could be exposed to high temperatures from stoves, radiators, gas appliances, etc.
  11. Do not place the appliance on top of electrical or gas stoves and ovens.
  12. When you are not using the appliance, first switch it off and then disconnect it from power. Disconnect the power cord by pulling the plug ­ never by pulling the power cord. Switch off the appliance, unplug it and allow it to cool before maintenance and cleaning.
  13. Never connect or turn on the appliance without a properly inserted container in the cooker.
  14. Do not immerse the base in water or pour liquid into the body of the cooker. Only the cooking vessel is designed for liquids.
  15. Check the power cord, the plug and whole appliance regularly for any damage. If you find any damage stop using the appliance immediately and contact the service centre.
  16. Do not use damaged or broken cooking vessel.
  17. Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than it is designed for.
  18. Do not use outside.
  19. The appliance should not be left unattended when in operation.
  20. Store the appliance inside in a dry place.
  21. Do not try to repair or modify the appliance or change its parts. There are no parts inside repairable by the user
  22. Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing it. The appliance needs approximately 30 minutes to cool down for safe handling and cleaning
  23. Do not place other objects on the appliance, do not allow foreign objects to get into the openings and do not use it near walls, curtains, etc. Do not place the appliance on a wall or on other appliances.
  24. The appliance warms up during operation. Do not cover any openings, air intake or air outlet. Do not touch hot surfaces. Always use the handle. When you handle parts of the appliance when in operation, use suitable utensils and oven mitts. Only place the heated pot and basket on heatresistant surfaces
  25. Do not try to carry a hot appliance. Extra care must be taken when moving the appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  26. Be careful, hot steam is released through hot air vents during hot air frying.The steam is very hot! Keep a safe distance from the appliance to avoid burns. Keep your hands and face a safe distance from steam and air vents. After removing the pot from the appliance, take extra care to avoid scalding from the hot steam that is released from the food.
  27. Do not switch the appliance on if it lies on the side or is upside down.
  28. Using accessories and attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may endanger persons and property.
  29. This appliance is intended for household use only. It is not intended for commercial use
  30. This appliance may not be plugged in an outlet controlled by a timer or controlled remotely.
  31. ECG is not liable for damage or injury caused by negligence or improper use. Prior to use do not forget to read carefully all instructions and information. The external surface of this device heats up and may cause burns. Do not leave unattended when children are present.
  32. This appliance can be used by children aged eight and older and by the physically, sensory or mentally impaired or by individuals with insufficient experience and knowledge, if supervised or trained to use the appliance in a safe manner and understand potential dangers. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be done by children unless they are older than 8 years old and under supervision. Children under the age of 8 must keep away from the appliance and the power supply.
Do not immerse in water!

DANGER for children: Children may not play with the packaging material. Do not let the children play with plastic bags. Risk of suffocation.

CONTROL PANEL DESCRIPTION

INTRODUCTION TO OPERATING MODES

The appliance has two operating modes called Default mode and Custom mode.

Default mode

After connecting the appliance to power supply and turning it on using the power button the appliance switches to ,,Default mode”; then press the menu button , light up the icon of the required menu and press the Start/Stop button to start cooking according to selected menu.

Custom mode

After connecting the appliance to power supply and turning it on using the power button use the menu button to select the required option. Then press the Temperature/Time button and when the symbol on the display lights up, set the temperature using the buttons or . After you set the temperature, by pressing again the button Temperature/Time , switch the display to cooking time setting mode and using the buttons or set the time. After completing these settings, press Start/Stop button to start cooking; the appliance will follow the selected program with the adjusted temperature and cooking time.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Remove all packing materials, labels, and stickers before using the product for the first time.
  2. Wash all removable parts in warm water with detergent, rinse with clean water and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
  3. Reassemble all parts of the device and put it in a suitable place. Do not place the appliance in confined space or close to walls.
  4. Plug in the power cable. When the product is used for the first time, some odor and smoke will appear, caused by burning off of the protective coating on the heating elements. This is normal. We recommend to leave the appliance running without food for the first 15 minutes and to burn it off. While doing so, we recommend ventilating by opening the windows and doors in the room.

FOOD PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before loading food, make sure that all packaging materials have been removed. Frozen food must be thawed beforehand. Thawed food must be processed immediately. It is not possible to load more food than the frypot allows.

French fries
  1. Plug in the power cable. Press the power button and then use the Menu button to select “French fries”; the default temperature and the time for preparing the fries are 200° C and 20 minutes and are shown on the display. If you require a different temperature and time, you can adjust them as described in the “Custom mode” section; the adjusted values are then shown on the display.
  2. Place the wire rack and 500 g of frozen potato french fries in the frypot.
  3. Slide the frypot into place and press the Start / Stop button to start cooking.
  4. When the process is complete, you will hear five beeps and the food is ready.
Chop
  1. Plug in the power cable. Press the power button and then use the Menu button to select “Chop”; the default temperature and the time for preparing the chops are 200° C and 15 minutes and are shown on the display. If you require a different temperature and time, you can adjust them as described in the “Custom mode” section; the adjusted values are then shown on the display.
  2. Insert the wire rack into the frypot and add evenly a layer of chops.
  3. Slide the frypot into place and press the Start / Stop button to start cooking.
  4. When the process is complete, you will hear five beeps and the food is ready.
Baking
  1. Plug in the power cable. Press the power button and then use the Menu button to select “Baking”; the default temperature and baking time are 180° C and 30 minutes and appear on the display. If you require a different temperature and time, you can adjust them as described in the “Custom mode” section; the adjusted values are then shown on the display.
  2. Insert the wire rack and the appropriate amount of food into the frypot.
  3. Slide the frypot into place and press the Start / Stop button to start cooking.
  4. When the process is complete, you will hear five beeps and the food is ready.
Chicken wings and thighs
  1. Plug in the power cable. Press the power button and then use the Menu button to select “Chicken Wings and Thighs”; the default temperature and the time for preparing the chicken pieces are 200 °C and 20 minutes and are shown on the display. If you require a different temperature and time, you can adjust them as described in the “Custom mode” section; the adjusted values are then shown on the display.
  2. Insert the wire rack into the frypot and add a layer of chicken wings or thighs evenly.
  3. Slide the frypot into place and press the Start / Stop button to start cooking.
  4. When the process is complete, you will hear five beeps and the food is ready.

NOTES:

  • During frying, pay attention to the food to avoid burning it during the process and apply spices before the end of cooking.
  • Carefully remove the food from the appliance after cooking. Protect yourself from burns with insulating gloves.
Fish
  1. Plug in the power cable. Press the power button and then use the Menu button to select “Fish”; the default temperature and cooking time are 200° C and 12 minutes and are shown on the display. If you require a different temperature and time, you can adjust them as described in the “Custom mode” section; the adjusted values are then shown on the display.
  2. Insert the wire rack and a layer of fish evenly into the frypot.
  3. Slide the frypot into place and press the Start / Stop button to start cooking.
  4. When the process is complete, you will hear five beeps and the food is ready.
Steak
  1. Plug in the power cable. Press the power button and then use the Menu button to select “Steak”; the default temperature and steak cooking time are 200° C and 25 minutes and are shown on the display. If you require a different temperature and time, you can adjust them as described in the “Custom mode” section; the adjusted values are then shown on the display.
  2. Insert the wire rack and a layer of steaks evenly into the frypot.
  3. Slide the frypot into place and press the Start / Stop button to start cooking.
  4. When the process is complete, you will hear five beeps and the food is ready.
Dried fruit
  1. Plug in the power cable. Press the power button and then use the Menu button to select “Dried Fruit”; the default temperature and the time for preparing dried fruit are 30° C and 4 hours and are shown on the display. If you require a different temperature and time, you can adjust them as described in the “Custom mode” section; the adjusted values are then shown on the display.
  2. Insert the wire rack into the frypot and add an even layer of fruit cut into small equal pieces. 3. Slide the frypot into place and press the Start / Stop button to start cooking. 4. When the process is complete, you will hear five beeps and the food is ready.
Shrimps
  1. Plug in the power cable. Press the power button and then use the Menu button to select “Shrimp”; the default temperature and shrimp cooking time are 180° C and 12 minutes and are shown on the display. If you require a different temperature and time, you can adjust them as described in the “Custom mode” section; the adjusted values are then shown on the display.
  2. Insert the wire rack and a layer of shrimp into the frypot.
  3. Slide the frypot into place and press the Start / Stop button to start cooking.
  4. When the process is complete, you will hear five beeps and the food is ready.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before cleaning, unplug the product and allow it to cool completely. Wash all accessories, wire rack and frypot in hot water with detergent.
  • For thorough cleaning, immerse the grate and frypot in water. Do not use abrazive cleaning agents for cleaning, since they may damage the nonstick coating and metallize the surfaces.
  • Clean the interior walls of the product regularly. Gently wipe the oil with a warm cotton cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth.
  • Never immerse the body of the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not clean the frypot with any metal tool to avoid damaging the surface coating.
