Welcome
Thank you for purchasing the new hand blender set SY-BM78A. Please read these Operating Instructions through carefully before connecting your device to the mains, in order to avoid damage due to incorrect use. Please pay particular attention to the safety information. If you pass the device on to a third party, these Operating Instructions must also be handed over.
Important safeguards
Before using your new stick blender, read the instructions in this booklet. Store in a safe place for future reference.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including:
- To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse any part of this appliance into water or any other liquid.
- Make sure that the operating voltage indicated on the appliance is the same as supply voltage in your home.
- Take special care when preparing food for babies, elderly and infirm people. Always ensure that the hand blender shaft is thoroughly sterilized. Use a sterilizing solution in accordance with the sterilizing solution manufacturer’s instructions.
- Never touch the blades while the machine is plugged in.
- Keep fingers, hair, clothing and utensils away from moving parts. · Never blend hot oil or fat
Short time operating.
Do not use the appliance for longer than 30 seconds continuously. Do not mix hard products for over 20 seconds.
- Never leave the appliance unattended when in use. This appliance is not intended for use by children or disabled person without supervision.
- Unplug from outlet while not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Do not let it be in · Contact with hot surfaces, including the stove.
- Do not wet the motor unit or the plug at any time
- Do not use this appliance outdoors or for commercial purposes. This unit is intended for household use only.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or it is dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact Sytech Service Centre for any service or reparations.
- The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
- If the blades get stuck, unplug the appliance before you remove the ingredients that block the blades.
- Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the appliance. There is no user serviceable parts.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Take special care when preparing food for babies, the elderly and infirm. Always ensure that the hand held blender shaft is thoroughly sterilized. Use a sterilizing solution to make sure the shaft is totally sterilized before use.
- Make sure the beaker should not be over 2/3 full to prevent over flowing.
- Always use the hand blender ingredients along with water or other liquids.
- Only use your hand blender for its intended domestic use.
Before first use
Always make sure that the operating voltage indicated on the appliance is the same as supply voltage in your home before using any appliance for the first time. Carefully unpack the hand mixer and remove all packaging material. Clean the various accessories of your appliance in warm soapy water. Rinse and Dry thoroughly before use.

Instruction for use

Insert the shaft with the blade into the motor part, turn it until it is locked. Make sure it is attached firmly.

Use the stick blender to make sauces, soups, mayonnaise, purees, dietary and baby food, mixed drinks cocktails. Operate the stick blender in any bowl, pan or any other container. If you wish to blend directly from the saucepan while cooking, take the pan away from the stove first and then proceed with the blending process. This is to protect the unit from over-heating.

The stick blender SY-BM78A includes 2 speed levels to choose from. Select the desired speed according to the type of ingredient you use.

When using the Speed 1 (B), it is also possible to vary the speed from the Speed control knob (A) from minimum speed to maximum.

To use the blender to the maximum power, simply press the Speed 2 button (C).

In the case the blender gets blocked while blending, unplug the appliance and clean the residue.

After use, unplug the appliance and clean it for future use.

To avoid splashing, insert the blender into the container first and then press the speed button.
Keep the speed button pressed for operation. To stop blending, simply release the speed button switch. -
NOTE: Do not blend for more than 30 seconds continuously as this can cause the motor to overheat and breakdown. Always pause every 30 seconds and let the blender cool down before using it again.

Never wash the motor housing in water.

Be sure to unplug the appliance before detaching the rod from the motor part.
Whisker function
- Use the whisk to mix eggs or creams.
- Insert the whisk onto the motor unit turning it clockwise: make sure the whisker is totally locked.
- Plug in the appliance.
- Select the desired speed and start to whisk your eggs or cream. Make sure to take care of your hair, scarves, or any other object which can come in contact while using the whisker.
- Once finished, remove the whisker from the beaker and make sure not to press the speed button while doing so in order to avoid any splashing.
- Unplug the hand blender and clean it before storing it.
- Do not use the chopper for more than 30 seconds or else it can harm the motor. Pause every 30 seconds and let the blender cool down for at least one minute before using it again.
Chopper function
- Before using the chopper, make sure you clean the chopper bowl and the blades.
- Place the chopping blade on the centre pin of the chopper bowl.
- Put the ingredients you wish to chop inside the bowl (meat, cheese, herbs, onions, carrots, almonds, prunes, etc.).
- Place the coupling unit onto the chopper bowl.
- Fasten the motor unit onto the chopper bowl.
- Select the desired speed and start chopping the ingredients making sure that one hand is placed on the blender and the other on the chopper bowl.
- If in the case the ingredients get stuck to the wall of the chopper bowl, loosen them by adding liquid or using a spatula.
- Unplug the hand blender and clean the bowl and the blades before storing it.
- The maximum food quantity allowed for chopping is 210g.
- Do not use the chopper for more than 30 seconds or else it can harm the motor. Pause every 30 seconds and let the blender cool down for at least one minute before using it again.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Before cleaning, always switch off and unplug the cord from the electrical outlet.
- Do not immerse the motor unit in any liquid.
- Do not touch the sharp blades as these can cause injuries.
- Wash the detachable plastic rod with blades in soapy water.
- Wipe the blender body with a damp cloth.
- Some foods such as carrots may discolor the plastic. Brushing with a cloth dipped in vegetable oil helps to remove the discoloring.
- Rinse the chopper coupler under a tap. Do not immerse it in water.
- Clean the blades and accessories after each use to avoid bacterial growth. · Take care of the blades as these are sharp and can cause injuries.
Environment friendly disposal
Please consider our environment Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the European guideline 2012/19/EU. Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal center or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal center. Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner. When you wish to dispose of the appliance, remove the cable and dispose it in an environmentally friendly way (e.g. recycling plant).
