Product Information

The SLUKA vacuum flask is designed for keeping and serving drinks. It should be cleaned before its first use and can be washed in a dishwasher or by hand with bicarbonate of soda or washing-up liquid added to the water. It is important to note that the flask is not designed for drinking directly from. If the flask is used to store milk or baby food, it should only be done so for a short period of time and must be thoroughly cleaned afterward to prevent fermentation.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Wash, rinse, and dry the vacuum flask before its first use.
  2. If washing by hand, add bicarbonate of soda or washing-up liquid to the water.
  3. The vacuum flask can be washed in a dishwasher if desired.
  4. Fill the flask with the desired drink.
  5. The flask should keep the drink at the desired temperature for several hours.
  6. When serving the drink, pour it out of the flask into a cup or glass. Do not drink directly from the flask.
  7. If using the flask to store milk or baby food, only do so for a short period of time and thoroughly clean the flask afterward.

Cleaning

Wash, rinse, and dry the vacuum flask before using it for the first time. The flask may be washed in a dishwasher. If you wash it by hand, always add bicarbonate of soda or washing-up liquid in the water. Good to know

  • Pre-heating the flask with hot water (or cooling it with cold water) makes sure the contents retain the desired temperature for longer. Never use a vacuum flask in a microwave oven, an oven or a freezer.
  • Not to be used on a hob/cooktop/ range or a hotplate.
  • Do not keep carbonated (fizzy) drinks in the flask. The build-up of pressure can make the cork explode with considerable force. The same thing may happen if sugary drinks in the flask are exposed to heat, as the heat sets the fermentation process in motion.
  • If possible, avoid using the vacuum flask for baby food and for drinks made with hot milk. Bacteria can develop rapidly in the heat and set the fermentation process in motion. If you do keep milk or baby food in the flask, make sure this is only for a short time, and always clean the flask carefully afterward.
Important! This vacuum flask is designed for keeping and serving drinks. Do not drink directly from the flask!
