Pure Acrylic Stone is a unique non-porous, anti-bacterial solid which
naturally resists stains, scratches and discolouring.
Here are a few tips and instructions to help extend the life and natural
beauty of your bench:
REGULAR CLEANING
- Clean your bench regularly with a dish detergent or other gentle cleanser and warm water.
- Use a soft cloth and gently rub in the direction of the grain to wipe dry.
- Immediately clean spills:
- Stains from non-porous substances such as coffee and tea can easily be removed with a 3M Scotch-Brite pad or by applying a little detergent and wiping the surface clean with water. For long-standing stains, apply a bit more force when cleaning and wipe clean.
- DO NOT use steel wool or scouring pads for regular cleaning, as this will damage the surface and cause discoloration.
- DO NOT use any cleaning products containing sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid, as these will damage the surface.
- DO NOT leave wet towels or sponges on the bench for a long period of time as this may ruin the finish of the bench.
OCCASIONAL DEEP CLEAN
To keep the surface of the bench looking great, occasionally deep clean using a soft sponge with a surface cleaner designed for solid surfaces and diluted bleach.
- Gently scrub the surface of the bench with the cleaner until all oily or discolored patches disappear.
- Rinse away the cleaning product with warm water and spray on the diluted bleach and let it stand for at least two hours. This will sanitize and brighten the bench.
- Rinse the bleach away with warm water.
LONG TERM CARE
If your bench becomes lightly stained or its color becomes dull you can
restore it to its original luster.
RESTORING A MATTE FINISH
- Rinse the surface with water to remove all dust.
- Use water and polishing pads to polish the area, if a finer finish is desired, you can use 800 grit sandpaper.
- Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
