INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS C-CP-C-SQ Series

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

  1. DANGER- Risk of shock- Disconnect power before installation.

  2. This luminaire must be installed in accordance with the NEC or your local electrical code. If you are not familiar with these codes and requirements, consult a qualified electrician.

  3. Suitable for wet locations.

  4. Covered ceiling mount only.

  6. Make certain power is OFF before starting installation or attempting any maintenance.

  7. Do not recess the fixture.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

MOUNTING USING ¾” PLUG IN THE BACK

  1. Remove the four screws attaching the lens diffuser to the fixture and set the screws and lens aside.

  2. Remove the screws attaching the reflector to the housing and set aside.

  3. Remove ¾” plug from back for wiring access.

  4. Fixture is best mounted by drilling through back of fixture securing it to the mounting surface using the appropriate mounting hardware for the surface. Mounting hardware supplied by others. When drilling holes do not drill within 1/4” (6mm) from edges of fixture. All unused holes must be plugged. Waterproof silicone should be used around all holes to ensure watertight enclosure.
    NOTE : Fixture can also be pendant mounted by threading the customer- supplied pendant into the ¾” mounting hole on the top of the fixture. If using center conduit hole for pendant the wireway MUST be filled with a high grade of silicone supplied by customer to prevent water from entering fixture through the pendant. In addition, Teflon tape should be used on conduit threads.

  5. Route the incoming power and ground leads through the hole located in the center of the back of the fixture and through the opening on the side of the LED mounting pad.

  6. Complete the wiring to the incoming power and ground (refer to“Fixture Wiring” section).

  7. Replace the reflector and lens diffuser.
    Note : Make sure no wiresare pinched when replacing parts. Do not overtighten lens screws to prevent damage to lens.

MOUNTING USING ½” PLUGS ON THE SIDE

  1. Remove the four screws attaching the lens diffuser to the fixture and set the screws and lens aside.
  2. Remove the screws attaching the reflector to the housing and set aside.
  3. Remove 1/2” plug from direction you intend to feed conduit. Teflon tape should be used on conduit threads to prevent water entry. NOTE: The (2) screws on either sides of the 1/2″ plug should not be removed during installation. See Figure 1.
  4. Fixture is best mounted by drilling through back of fixture securing it to the mounting surface using the -appropriate mounting hardware for the surface. Mounting hardware supplied by others. When drilling holes do not drill within 1/4” (6 mm) from edges of fixture. All unused holes must be plugged. Waterproof silicone should be used around all holes to ensure watertight enclosure.
  5. Complete the wiring to the incoming power and ground (refer to “Fixture Wiring” section).
  6. Replace the reflector and lens diffuser. Note: Make sure no wires are pinched when replacing parts. Do not overtighten lens screws to prevent damage to lens.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

The fixture is equipped with a universal volt driver 120-277V (ie. 120V, 208V, 240V or 277V)

PHASE TO NEUTRAL WIRING 120/277V

  1. Connect supply ground to fixture ground (green) lead.
  2. Connect supply common to fixture neutral (white) lead.
  3. Connect supply Vin to fixture hot (black) lead.

Tuck all wires carefully into the wiring chamber ensuring that no wires are pinched.

PHASE TO PHASE WIRING 208/240V

  1. Connect supply ground to fixture ground (green) lead.
  2. Connect supply L1 (Hot) to fixture neutral (white) lead.
  3. Connect supply L2 (Hot) to fixture hot (black) lead.

Tuck all wires carefully into the wiring chamber ensuring that no wires are pinched.

DIMMING

  1. Grey or pink (-) and violet (+) leads are for 0-10V dimming systems. Cap off if not used.
  2. For dimming connections, use Class 1 wiring methods.
