MOUNTING OVER RECESSED JUNCTION BOX
NOTE: Knockouts are provided for mounting over 3″ octagonal or 4″ octagonal boxes.
-
Remove lens assembly by loosening screws on side of frame. Swing lens assembly open, disconnect quick connect wiring connector(s) and lift lens assembly upward to remove from housing.
-
Drill out appropriate knockouts in back box for attachment to junction box. Also drill knockout for wiring access.
NOTE: Fixture should not be exclusively supported by junction box. Drill additional knockouts toward corners of fixture to provide additional support. Do NOT drill within 1/4″ (64 mm) from edges of fixture. -
Pull supply leads from junction box through wall of back box. Attach back box to mounting surface using hardware (supplied by others) appropriate for mounting surface.
NOTE: A high grade caulking material such as silicone rubber, should be used around perimeter of back box to prevent water leakage into fixture or junction box. -
If the fixture is not CCT adjustable, proceed to Step 5.
For CCT adjustable fixtures, set the dip switch mounted to the back box to the desired color temperature. Default setting is 4000K. Switch can also be adjusted for 3000K or 5000K. -
Make wiring connections per the Electrical Connections section.
-
Replace the lens assembly on hinges, re-connect quick-connect wiring connectors, and swing lens into place. Re-tighten screws that were loosened in Step 1.
WALL MOUNTED WITH CONDUIT FEED
-
Remove lens assembly by loosening screws on side of frame. Swing lens assembly open, disconnect quick connect wiring connector(s) and lift lens assembly upward to remove from housing.
-
Drill holes in four corners of back box to allow for attachment of back box to mounting surface. Do NOT drill within 1/4″ (64 mm) from edges of fixture.
-
Attach back box to mounting surface using hardware (supplied by others) appropriate for mounting surface.
NOTE: A high grade caulking material such as silicone rubber, should be used around perimeter of back box to prevent water entry. -
Remove appropriate threaded plugs on sides of fixture and route electrical conduit to the holes desired. Feed the supply leads through the conduit and into the back box.
NOTE: Use of teflon tape on the conduit threads will ensure a watertight seal. -
If the fixture is not CCT adjustable, proceed to Step 6.
