C-LITE C-AR-A-DDA Series LED Dusk to Dawn Light

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. DANGER- Risk of shock- Disconnect power before installation.
    DANGER – Risque de choc – Couper l’alimentation avant l’installation.

  2. SUITABLE FOR WET LOCATIONS. CONVIENT AUX EMPLACEMENTS MOUILLES.

  3. This luminaire must be installed in accordance with the NEC or your local electrical code. If you are not familiar with these codes and requirements, consult a qualified electrician.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

DIRECT MOUNTING

  1. Remove cover plate from fixture and attach supply conduit using either knockout on cover plate. Retain screws, washers, and nuts for future use. See.

  2. Use fixture to mark the intended locations for the lag bolts on mounting surface. See.

  3. Install two lower lag bolts into the mounting surface, allowing the head of each bolt to remain 1/4” (6.4 mm) from the mounting surface.

  4. Wire black fixture lead to the incoming voltage supply or Hot 1 lead and the white fixture lead to the incoming neutral (Common) or Hot 2 lead. Attach bare copper or green ground fixture lead to the incoming ground lead.

  5. Slide the fixture onto two lag bolts installed in Step 3 and install a third lag bolt in the top slot of the fixture. Secure all lag bolts.

  6. Secure the cover plate with (2) machine screws, washers, and nuts removed in Step 1.

  7. Install the photo-control by aligning the arrow on the top of the photo-control with the arrow on the photo-control socket and inserting pins into the socket. Twist the photo-control clockwise until the arrow on the photocontrol is pointing north. (Photocontrol must be rotated at least 1/8 turn to properly lock in place). See.
    NOTE: Improper installation of the photo-control may result in damage to the photo-control.

  8. See WATTAGE AND COLOR TEMPERATURE SETTING section to set wattage and CCT.

ARM MOUNTING (Using Arm Kit C-ACC-A-SMDDPOLE-GR)

  1. Loosely install (2) carriage bolts with lock washers and nuts into wall mounting bracket.

  2. Install wall mounting bracket to the mounting surface with (4) lag bolts provided.

  3. Remove cover plate from fixture. Discard cover plate, screws, washers, and nuts. See Figure 1.

  4. Insert short end of the arm into the mounting bracket. Adjust to the desired direction and tighten carriage bolts.

  5. Feed (Customer Supplied) ground wire up through the arm.

  6. Feed black and white fixture wires down through arm.

  7. Using (2) Hex bolts and arm brackets, secure housing to arm.
    NOTE: When installing the housing on to the arm, allow 1/4” (6.4 mm) spacing between the end of the arm and the housing to prevent the ground wire from being pinched.

  8. Install (1) green ground screw onto arm bracket at the location marked “GND” and tighten the ground screw to the ground wire. See Figure 3.

  9. Wire black fixture lead to the incoming voltage supply or Hot 1 lead and the white fixture lead to the incoming neutral (Common) or Hot 2 lead. Attach bare copper or green ground fixture lead to the incoming ground lead.

  10. Install the photo-control by aligning the arrow on the top of the photo-control with the arrow on the photo-control socket and inserting pins into the socket. Twist the photo-control clockwise until the arrow on the photocontrol is pointing north. (Photocontrol must be rotated at least 1/8 turn to properly lock in place). See Figure 3.

  11. See the WATTAGE AND COLOR TEMPERATURE SETTING section to set wattage and CCT.

ARM MOUNTING (USING EXISTING ARM)

NOTE: Fits on polearm diameter range from 1.57 (40mm) to 1.77 (45mm).

  1. Remove cover plate from fixture. Discard cover plate, screws, washers, and nuts. See Figure 1.

  2. Feed (customer supplied) ground wire up through the arm.

  3. Feed black and white fixture wires down through the arm.

  4. Using (2) hex bolts and arm brackets, secure housing to the arm. See Figure 2.

WATTAGE AND COLOR TEMPERATURE SETTINGS

NOTE: Factory settings are 100% wattage and 4000K.

  1. Remove the selector switch cap using a large straight-blade screwdriver. See Figure 5 on the next page.
  2. Locate the selector switches under the cap and set wattage and color temperature by sliding the dip switches to the desired values.
  3. Replace the selector switch cap and retighten using a large straight-blade screwdriver.
