MOUNTING OVER RECESSED JUNCTION BOX
NOTE: Knockouts are provided for mounting over 3″ octagonal, 4″ octagonal, or 4″ square junction boxes.
-
Remove the lens assembly by loosening the screws on side of the frame. Do not loosen the tamper-proof screws on the hinge side of the frame. Swing lens assembly open, disconnect quick connect wiring connector(s), and lift lens assembly upward to remove from housing.
-
Drill out appropriate knockouts in the back box for attachment to the junction box. Also, drill knockout for wiring access.
NOTE: Luminaire should not be exclusively supported by junction box. Drill knockouts in the lower two corners and center top of back box to allow for attachment of back box to a mounting surface. -
Pull supply leads from the junction box through the wall of the back box. Attach the back box to the mounting surface using hardware (supplied by others) appropriate for the mounting surface.
NOTE: A high grade caulking material, such as silicone rubber, should be used around perimeter of the back box (between back box and the mounting surface) to prevent water leakage into the luminaire or junction box. -
Replace lens assembly on hinges and re-connect quick-connect wiring connections.
-
Position dip switches to select desired CCT and wattage. See Figure 1.
NOTE: Dip switches factory set at highest wattage and 4000K. -
Make wiring connections per the Electrical Connections section.
-
Swing lens into place. Re-tighten screws that were loosened in Step 1.
-
Supply power to luminaire.
WALL MOUNTED WITH CONDUIT FEED
-
Remove the lens assembly by loosening the screws on side of the frame. Do not loosen the tamper-proof screws on the hinge side of the frame. Swing lens assembly open, disconnect quick connect wiring connector(s), and lift lens assembly upward to remove from housing.
-
Drill knockouts in the lower two corners and center top of back box to allow for attachment of back box to the mounting surface.
-
Attach back box to the mounting surface using hardware (supplied by others) appropriate for the mounting surface.
NOTE: A high grade caulking material, such as silicone rubber, should be used around perimeter of the back box (between the back box and the mounting surface) to prevent water entry. -
Remove appropriate threaded plugs on the sides of the fixture and route electrical conduit to the holes desired. Feed the supply leads through the conduit and into the back box.
NOTE: Use of teflon tape on the conduit threads will ensure a watertight seal. -
Replace lens assembly on hinges and re-connect quick-connect wiring connections.
-
Position dip switches to select desired CCT and wattage. See Figure 1.
NOTE: Dip switches factory set at highest wattage and 4000K. -
Make wiring connections per the Electrical Connections section.

EMERGENCY DRIVER CHECK (FOR LUMINAIRES EQUIPPED WITH EMERGENCY DRIVER)
NOTE: Emergency driver and AC driver must be fed from the same branch
circuit.
NOTE: For short-term testing of the emergency function, the battery must
be charged for at least one hour. The emergency driver must be charged for at
least 24 hours before conducting a long-term test.
STEP 1:
When AC power is applied, the charging indicator light is illuminated,
indicating the battery is being charged. When power fails, the emergency
driver automatically switches to emergency power, operating the LED array.
When AC power is restored, the emergency driver returns to the charging mode.
STEP 2:
Although no routine maintenance is required to keep the emergency driver
functional, it should be checked periodically to ensure that it is working.
The following schedule is recommended:
-
Visually inspect the charging indicator light monthly. It should be illuminated.
-
Test the emergency operation of the fixture at 30-day intervals for a minimum of 30 seconds. When the test switch is depressed, the
LED array should operate. -
Conduct a 90-minute discharge test once a year. The LED array should operate for at least 90 minutes.
If the luminaire fails any of these checks, consult service personnel.
REFER ANY SERVICING INDICATED BY THESE CHECKS TO QUALIFIED PERSONNEL
EMERGENCY DRIVER AND AC DRIVER MUST BE FED FROM THE SAME BRANCH CIRCUIT.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS- LUMINAIRE WITH EMERGENCY DRIVER
Fixture is equipped with universal volt driver 120-277V (ie. 120V, 208V, 240V
or 277V)
NOTE: The emergency driver must be fed from the same branch as the AC
driver.
STEP 1:
Make the following electrical connections:
a. Connect the black luminaire lead labeled unswitched hot to the unswitched
voltage supply lead.
b. Connect the black luminaire lead labeled switched hot to the switched
supply lead.
c. Connect white luminaire lead to the neutral supply lead (Hot 2 for 208/240V
wiring).
d. Connect ground bare or green wire lead to the supply ground lead.
STEP 2:
Turn on the unswitched voltage supply to the luminaire. Keep the switched
voltage supply to the luminaire off.
STEP 3:
Connect the battery female connector to the male connector on the emergency
driver.
*** NOTE: Do NOT mate the male connector from the emergency driver to the female connector from the battery until AC power is supplied to the unswitched hot lead to the luminaire
