Installation
How to cut the LED strip?
Before cutting the LED strip, please keep these in mind.
- Once the strip is cut, an extra connector is needed for reconnection, otherwise the rest part being cut can not work. The connector is not included in the package. You may contact the seller for the connector details.
- double confirm the length for installation before making the cut.
- Cut the strip along the marks.
How to install the LED strip?
- Choose an even and smooth surface.
- Sweep the dust off the surface
- Tear the back sheet.
- Press the strip with force.
- Fasten the strip with clips, if applicable. (It is recommended to use the clip every 0.5m.)
- Connect the light strip1 to controller cable2, and then connect controller cable to power adapte 3. Plug the adapter into the socket and turn on the light strip by pressing ‘ON’ button on the RF remote controller.
Note:
- If the strip can’t light up after the installation, please check whether the joints are connected correctly.
- Please make sure to turn off the power supply during routine maintenance.
- To avoid any damage to the strip, please do not use chemical solvent during routine maintenance.
How to pair the Strip light to Smart Life app?
Before starting the paring, please make sure to turn on the Bluetooth and WiFi
on your phone.
Step A: Smart Life app installation.
Please choose either way below to strip light and install the app.
- As per your phone system, choose the QR code to scan
- Search keyword ‘Smart Life’ in Apple Store or Google Play.
Step B: Create an account on Smart Life and login.
Note: Please keep your account and password in mind for Alexa or Google
Assistant App pairing later.
Step C: Add the light strip to Smart Life App. This smart light strip
only support 2.4GHz Wifi network, not 5.0 GHz. Please make sure your Wifi
network is 2.4GHz, and your phone is connected to the required Wifi network.
- Power on the light strip and longpress the power button on the controller until the light strip blinks.
- Tap’+’ button on top right comer to add device, then tap ‘lighting ‘ to enter next page.
- Choose ‘Light Source(Wi-Fi)’ or ‘Strip Lights(Wi-Fi) ‘ and follow the instructions of the app to complete the pairing process.
- You can also enable ‘bluetooth’ on your phone and try the ‘Auto Scan’ for automatic pairing.
How to control the Strip light with Amazon Alexa?
Please make sure that your Alexa app is connected to Echo, and both work well under your WiFi network
Step A: Log in your Alexa App, tap top left comer, and tap ‘Skills’
Step B : Type ‘Smart Life’, find ‘Smart Life’ from the search result and tap it to enable the skill.
Step C: Enter your Smart Life App account and password. Tap ‘Link Now’,
then tap ‘Authorize’ on the next page to bind Smart Life account to Alexa.
Step D: When your Smart Life account is bound to Alexa, tap ‘DISCOVE
DEVICES’ to detect the Strip light.
Step E: When the named Strip light is paired to Alexa from Smart Life, it
will show on the device page (see the ‘smart strip light’ example ).
Step F : Now you can control the strip light with Alexa App on the
setting page. To tum on or off the strip light, simply tap the bulb icon.
Step G: You can also voice control the strip light with Alexa by giving
these commands: “Alexa, tum on ‘device name’•, “Alexa, set ‘device name’ to
‘color’·. “Alexa, set ‘device name’ to ‘number'”.
Device name is the one you give to the Strip light. The strip light is named
‘smart strip light’ in this manual. For example, “Alexa, tum on ‘smart strip
light'”, “Alexa, set ‘smart strip light’ to ‘blue'” etc.
Note: To control the strip light with Google Assistant, please continue to read Part Four.
How to control the Strip light with Google Assistant?
Step A: Login Google Assistant App, tap ‘Home Control’ on the left side
bar page.
Step B: Tap’+’ button on the bottom right to enter next page.
Step C: Find ‘Smart Life’ from side bar list.
Step D: Enter your Smart Life App account and password to bind Smart Life
account to Google Assistant.
Step E: You will find the named strip light shows on the Home Control
page. Now you can control the strip light on Google Assistant App, or voice
control it by giving these commands: “ok Google, turn on ‘device name'”, “ok
Google, set ‘device name’ to ‘color'”, “ok Google, set ‘device name’ to
‘number'”.
Device name is the one you give to the strip light. The strip light is named
‘smart strip light’ in this manual. For example, “ok Google, tum on ‘smart
strip light’·, “ok Google, set ‘smart strip light’ to ‘blue’· etc.
