WARNING:

This product is intended to be used as a decorative fire place and is intended for outdoor use only. Do not use indoors. Indoor use is dangerous and strictly forbidden.

  •  Read this user manual carefully before using the appliance and keep it for future reference. Install this device only when it complies with local/national legislation, ordinances and standards.

  •  This product is intended to be used as decorative fire place around residential houses in normal household conditions and environment.

  • After unpacking, check the product for any damages. When in doubt, do not use the product, but contact customer service at your local dealer’s. Keep the packaging materials (plastic bags, etc.) away from children, as they may cause hazardous situations to children.

  •  No modifications to the product are allowed.

  •  Keep the instructions for future reference
    WARNINGS

  •  Read the instructions before installation and use. This product must be installed in accordance with the regulations In force.

  •  Only use the product for its intended purpose. Other usage may lead to burns, fire, explosion, crash, etc.

  • Install the product according to the instructions as described in the installation section of the directions for use;

  •  Any modifications to the product represent a large safety risk and are forbidden. Do not undertake any unauthorised interventions yourself.

  • Keep sufficient distance from the hot parts, since any contact can lead to severe burns.

  •  This product is manufactured according to CE safety standards. Nevertheless, as with any other heating device, care must be taken;

  •   RISK OF FIRE Never use the appliance in places where inflammable and/or harmful Gases, products or fumes may be present (e.g. exhaust gases, paint fumes, curtains, paper, clothes);

  •  If the product is positioned too close to inflammable materials you may risk fire –always keep it more than 1,2 meter away from inflammable materials;

  •  For safety reasons take care when children or animals are in the proximity of the product, as with any other heating device, and make sure that children are always aware of the presence of a hot item;

  •  This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  •  If the product is damaged, it shall be repaired by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  •  Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  •  In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the device.

  •  This appliance can be used by children aged from 12 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

  •  Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

  •  Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

  •  Do not use indoors!

  •   WARNING! Do not use spirit or petrol for lighting or relighting!

  • WARNING! Keep children and pets away!
    Danger: Fire hazard!

  •  The decorative fire place will get very hot during operation and can start other fires.

  •  It is essential that you have a fire extinguisher and first-aid kit ready and be prepared for an accident or fire.

  •  Ignite only at a sheltered location.

  •  Only tip out the fuel once it has completely burned out and cooled down.

  •   CAUTION – some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns.

Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

  • During operation and just after operation the appliance will be extremely hot. NEVER touch it during operation or just operation. NEVER move the appliance during this time.
  •  Switch off the appliance and extinguish the fire when it is unattended.

If you fail to consult and/or follow up the rules, instructions and explanation, the warranty will no longer be valid, and the manufacturer will no longer deal with
any damage to the appliance and/or your environment under the warranty.

DANGER: RISK OF DEFLAGRATION!

Flammable liquids that are poured on the embers cause flash flames or deflagrations.

  • Never use flammable liquids such as petrol or sprits.

ATTENTION: RISK OF DAMAGE!
During use, the screws can loosen slowly and impair product stability.

  •  Check the stability of the screws prior to each use. If necessary, tighten all of the screws again to ensure the product is standing securely.
  •  Do not use any strong or grinding solvents or abrasive pads, since these can attack the surfaces and leave behind scrape marks.

ASSEMBLING THE DECORATIVE FIRE PLACE

The manufacturer is not responsible for any harm or damage if attention is not paid to the points described above.
The use of this product and the elements required for that purpose is entirely at the end user’s own risk.

Always make sure to place the product on a non combustible underground which is secure, firm, level and stable.

LIGHTING THE DECORATIVE FIRE PLACE

During and after operation the product will become very hot. It is likely that because of this the product will change colour and/or will show oxidation marks. This is normal and is not covered by the warranty.
Keep sufficient distance from the hot parts, since any contact can lead to severe burns.

DANGER: FIRE HAZARD!

  • The decorative fire place will get very hot during operation and can start other fires.
  •  It is essential that you have a fire extinguisher and first-aid kit ready and be prepared for an accident or fire.
  •  Ignite only at a sheltered location.
  •  Only tip out the fuel once the charcoal has completely burned out and cooled down.
  •  Switch off the appliance and extinguish the fire when it is unattended.

CAUTION! Do not use spirit or petrol for lighting or re-lighting! Use only firelighters complying to EN1860-3!
Suitable fuel:

  • Dry wood only
  •  Size of wood may not exceed the internal dimension of the decorative fire place

To light the fire, use only:

  • A. Dry lighters or special fluid lighters.
  • B. News papers covered with small pieces of dry wood
  • C. Small dry wood such as shavings, twigs, branches

Put some fire lighter as mentioned under A, B or C above into the decorative fire place
Light the fire lighter (A, B or C) with a long match or a gas fire lighter.
When the fire is lit: put on some more dry wood in the fire place.

WARNING! to prevent the risk on too high fire and to prevent the risk to create an unstable fire place: never fill the fire place over 50% of its volume and never have wood sticking out of the top or sides.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Your product is made of high-quality materials. To clean and maintain the surfa-ces, please heed the following instructions:

DANGER: RISK OF BURNING!
Let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning it.
Only tip out the ash when the fuel has completely burned out.

ATTENTION: RISK OF DAMAGE!
Do not use any strong or grinding solvents or abrasive pads, since these can attack the surfaces and leave behind scrape marks.

  •  Let the fuel burn out completely after use.
  •  Empty out the cold ash. It is very important that you remove the ash before moisture combines with the cold ash. Ash is saline and, in a moist condition, will attack the inside of the ash collecting tray. Thus, over years the ash collecting tray can sustain damage through rust.
  • Clean the product, internally and externally regularly with soapy water, at best after every use.
  •  Use a soft, clean cloth for drying. Do not scratch the surfaces when wiping them dry.
  •  Tighten all screws before every use to guarantee stable footing.
  •  Protect your product against continuous weather influences. Since it is manufactured from steel it will eventually rust. Clean possible rust spots and repair them with fireproof paint.
  •   IMPORTANT: The product should always be stored somewhere where it is protected from moisture.

CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY

There is a two-year warranty on your product from the date of purchase. All material or manufacturing defects will be repaired free of charge.
The following applies:

  • All claims for compensation, including consequential damage, will not be entertained.
  •  Any repairs or replacement of components during the warranty period will not result in an extension of the warranty period.
  •  The warranty will expire if any alterations have been made, not genuine components have been fitted or have been repaired by a third party.
  • Components subject to normal wear and tear are not covered by the warranty.
  •  The warranty is only valid on presentation of the original, unaltered, and date-stamped purchase receipt.
  •  The warranty does not cover damage caused by actions that deviate from those as described in the user’s manual or by neglect.
  •  Transportation costs and the risks involved during the transportation of the product or components shall always be for the account of the purchaser.

To prevent unnecessary expenses, we recommend that you always carefully read the user’s manual first. If this does not provide a solution, take the product to your distributor for repair.

END OF LIFE TIME

Never dispose of non-biodegradable products in the environment, but dis-pose of them in accordance with current national legislation. At the end of its lifetime, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection center or to a dealer providing this service.
Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative con- sequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate dis-posal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered in order to make significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dis- pose of household appliances separately.
