The rout er is a complicat ed elect ronic unit t hat may be repaired only be
aut horized and qualif ied personnel. Do not t ry t o open or repair t he rout
er yourself . Do not place t he rout er in a damp or humid place, e. g. a bat
hroom. Do not st ack t he rout ers. The rout er should be used in a shelt ered
area, wit hin a t emperat ure range of +5 t o +40 Celsius. Do not expose t he
rout er t o direct sunlight or ot her heat sources. The housing and elect
ronic component s may be damaged by direct sunlight or heat sources. Do not
deploy t he cable f or LAN connect ion out door t o prevent elect ronic shock
hazards. Keep t he package out of reach of children. When you want t o dispose
of t he rout er, please f ollow local regulat ions on conservat ion of t he
environment .
We warrant t o t he original end user (purchaser) t hat t he rout er will be f
ree f rom any def ect s in workmanship or mat erials f or a period of t wo (2)
years f rom t he dat e of purchase f rom t he dealer. Please keep your

3. Hardw are Installation
This sect ion will guide you t o inst all t he rout er t hrough hardware
connect ion and conf igure t he rout er’ s set t ings t hrough web browser.
Bef ore st art ing t o conf igure t he rout er, you have t o connect your
devices correct ly. (For t he hardware connect ion, we t ake ” ac” model as an
example. )
3.1 Netw ork Connection
1. Connect t he DSL int erf ace t o t he land line j ack wit h a DSL line
cable, or Connect t he cable Modem/ DSL Modem/ Media Convert er t o t he WAN
port of rout er wit h Et hernet cable (RJ-45).
2. Connect one end of an Et hernet cable (RJ-45) t o one of t he LAN port s
of t he rout er and t he ot her end of t he cable (RJ-45) int o t he Et hernet
port on your comput er.
3. Connect one end of t he power adapt er t o t he rout er’ s power port on t
he rear panel, and t he ot her side int o a wall out let .
4. Power on t he device by pressing down t he power swit ch on t he rear
panel. 5. The syst em st art s t o init iat e. Af t er complet ing t he syst
em t est , t he ACT LED
will light up and st art blinking. (For t he det ailed inf ormat ion of LED st
at us, please ref er t o sect ion 2. Panel Explanat ion)

3 .2 Wa ll-M ount e d I nst a lla t ion
Vigor rout er has keyhole t ype mount ing slot s on t he underside. 1. Drill t
wo holes on t he wall. The dist ance bet ween t he holes shall be 168mm. 2.
Fit screws int o t he wall using t he appropriat e t ype of wall plug.

The recommended drill diamet er shall be 6. 5mm (1/ 4″ ).
3. When you f inished about procedure, t he rout er has been mount ed on t he wall f irmly.

4. Softw are Configuration
To access Int ernet , pl ease f inish basic conf igurat ion af t er complet
ing t he hardware inst allat ion.
4.1 Quick Start Wizard for Netw ork Connection
The Quick Start Wizard is designed f or you t o easily set up your rout er f
or Int ernet access. You can direct ly access t he Quick Start Wizard via Web
User Int erf ace. Make sure your PC connect s t o t he rout er correct ly.

You may eit her simply set up your comput er t o get IP dynamically f rom t he rout er or set up t he IP address of t he comput er t o be t he same subnet as the default IP address of Vigor router 192. 168. 1. 1. For t he det ailed inf ormat ion, please ref er t o Trouble Shoot ing of t he user’ s guide.
Open a web browser on your PC and t ype http:/ / 192. 168. 1. 1. A pop-up window will open t o ask f or username and password. Please ent er ” admin/ admin” as t he Username/ Password and click Login.

If your rout er can be under an environment wit h high speed NAT, t he conf igurat ion provide here can help you t o deploy and use t he rout er quickl y. The f irst screen of Quick Start Wizard is ent ering login password. Af t er t yping t he password, please click Next.
On t he next page as shown bel ow, please select t he WAN int erf ace t hat
you use. If DSL int erf ace is used, please choose WAN1; if Et hernet int erf
ace is used, please choose WAN2; if wireless 2. 4G/ 5G connect ion is used,
please choose WAN3 or WAN4; if 3G USB modem is used, please choose WAN5 or
WAN6. Then

click Next f or next st ep. Each WAN int erf ace will bring up specif ic conf
igurat ion page. Here, we t ake WAN1 as an example.
Click Next t o go t o t he f ollowing page. You have t o sel ect t he
appropriat e Int ernet access t ype according to the information from your
ISP. For example, you should select PPPoA mode if t he ISP provides you PPPoA
int erf ace. In addit ion, t he f ield of For ADSL Only will be available only
when ADSL is det ect ed. Then click Next f or next st ep.

PPPoE/PPPoA 1. Choose WAN1 as WAN Int erf ace and click t he Next but t on;
