Operation
Power ON/OFF
- Open the battery cover and install a 18650 battery correctly, or connect USB (voltage 5V) for power supply (Fig. 1 and Fig. 2)
- Press the switch to 1 to turn on the device.
- Temperature Measure-ment: Place your forehead or hand within 2-4 inches of the device. (Fig. 3)
Mode Switching
- Press the mode button to switch the display to Fahrenheit (display F) or Celsius (display C).
- Mode: Press and hold mode button for 3 seconds to switch the temperature measurement mode (Sur: surface mode; bod: object mode; Cou: counting mode)
- Default Object Mode
Status Description
- Standby: The red dot at the bottom of the display lights up in turn. (Fig. 4)
- Insufficient Power: The horizontal bars light up in the middle of the display. (Fig. 5)
- Normal Temperature (89.6˚F – 99.1˚F / 32˚C – 37.3˚C): Flashing green lights and alarm beeps. (Fig. 6)
- High Temperature (99.3˚F – 100.2˚F / 37.4˚C – 37.9˚C): Flashing yellow lights and alarm beeps twice. (Fig. 7)
- Abnormal Temperature (100.4˚F – 107.6˚F / 38˚C – 42˚C): Continuous red light flashing and alarm beeps for 5 sec-onds. (Fig. 8)
- Ultra Low Temperature (>89.6˚F / >32˚C): Flashing red lights and alarm and Lo on display. (Fig. 9)
- Ultra High Temperature (<107.6˚F / <42˚C): Flashing red lights and alarm and Hi on display. (Fig. 10)
Sleep Mode and Restart
To save power, the machine will automatically shut down when idle for 1 hour. Press the mode key or toggle the ON/OFF switch to restart the machine and resume use. Avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight.
