Layout

Maonocaster G1 Neo Gaming Audio Mixer - Layout

  1. Microphone gain knob_①, Mic Volume fader_②, level meter_③, and Microphone mute_④
    First, rotate the gain knob to the left and right to control the microphone’s gain. Then, slide the fader to control the XLR microphone or headset’s microphone volume. The color of the level meter indicates the level, with red indicating peaking, which may result in distorted audio. To achieve the best audio quality, please keep the level meter in the green and orange sections. Short press the mute button to mute the microphone input.
    Note:
    1.1. The gain knob does not control the gain of the headset microphone.
    1.2. Keeping the gain low will reduce the amount of environmental noise being recorded.

  2. Accompaniment volume fader_①, level meter_②, and mute_③
    Slide the fade to control the volume of audio input from USB-C input port, 3.5mm accompaniment input and Bluetooth input. To have more precise control, we recommend only using one type of accompaniment at a time. Short press the mute button to mute the accompaniment input.

  3. Power indicator_①and power button_②
    Long press the power button to turn on and off the device.

  4. 48V phantom power supply switch
    This button controls the phantom power of XLR microphone input . When the button is turned on, the LED indicator turns red. Whether to turn on phantom power depends on the type of XLR microphone you are using. In most cases, only XLR condenser microphones require phantom power to function. If your microphone does not require phantom power, turning it on may damage it.
    Tip: Phantom power cannot be turned on when there is no XLR microphone connected.
    If you don’t know what type of microphone you have, please contact your microphone manufacturer for confirmation.

  5. Bluetooth LED indicator and switch
    5.1. After turning on the Bluetooth by long press the switch button, the LED indicator flashes and the device actively searches for and connects to paired devices. The indicator remains solid after a successful connection.
    5.2. Press and hold the Bluetooth button for more than 2 seconds to turn the Bluetooth off.

  6. Reverb
    Use the knob to control the level of reverb effect. Rotate all the way to the left to turn off reverb.

  7. Headphones Volume
    Please adjust the Headphones knob to the right to regulate the volume of the headphones.

  8. Noise Reducer
    This feature can reduce background noise during recording. Short press to enter the low noise cancellation mode, and short press again to enter the high noise cancellation mode. Short press for the third time to turn off the noise cancellation. The LED indicator displays the current status.

  9. Voice Changer
    This feature adds pitch-changing effects to the microphone input.
    Short press to cycle through available pitch presets and turn off the pitch- changing feature.
    The LED indicator displays the current status.

  10. Direct Monitor and Loopback
    Direct Monitor is turned on and the loopback is turned off by default.
    If you don’t want to hear your own voice recorded via microphone, you can turn off the Direct Monitor feature.
    If the Loopback feature is enabled, the audio sent to the device via USB will be sent back to the USB connected device; if it is disabled, the audio sent to the device can be heard through the headphones, but will not be recorded. Turning off this feature can avoid unwanted echos. Button Operation| Function

Tips: Voice prompts and LED indicator shows the current status.

  1. SideChain
    The SideChain function automatically lowers the volume of background music when you start to speak, highlighting your voice in streaming and podcasts.

  2. RGB Switch
    Short press to cycle through available RGB modes.
    Long press to turn off the RGB mode.

  3. Custom Soundpad Buttons
    The Maonocaster G1 Neo provides users with four custom sound effect buttons. Users can record their favorite songs, music, beats, and other sound clips into the device using the microphone, external audio accompaniment, or Bluetooth input for live broadcasting and recording purposes. Each button can record sound effects for approx. 20s.
    Please note that the product does not have preloaded custom sound effects and needs to be recorded by the user first.
    13.1 Erasing existing sound effects:
    Press and hold any of the previously recorded custom keys for more than 3 seconds. During this time, the LED indicator will turn on and flash quickly, indicating that it has entered the recording erasing state. The light will go out when the erasing is completed.
    13.2 Sound effect recording:
    Regardless of whether there are special effects stored in the custom keys or not, the previously recorded special effects must be erased first. To do this, short press the corresponding custom key for erasing, and the light will flash slowly, indicating that it is in the recording state.
    The light will go out when the recording is completed. During the recording process, short press the corresponding custom key to stop the recording.
    Note: Each custom key has limited storage space. When the memory of a specific custom key is full, the device will automatically stop recording. At this point, the light will automatically go out.
    13.4 Playing custom sound:
    Short press any of the previously recorded custom keys to start playing the recorded sound clips. The LED indicator will remain on until the playback is completed. During playback, you can short press to stop the playback.

  4. DC⎓5V Interface
    This interface is solely used for powering the device. When using the G1 Neo with a mobile device such as a cellphone, you can connect an external power supply to provide power. The G1 Neo will prioritize drawing power from this interface rather than the USB-C data interface on the right.

  5. USB-C Data Interface with bus power
    The data interface can be used for audio data communication with computers and mobile devices. If the 14. DC⎓5V interface is not connected to an external power supply, the G1Neo will be bus-powered through this interface.
    Note:
    (1) Android phones need to support the USB host feature and have it enabled.
    (2) iPhones with a Lightning connector require a Lightning to USB Camera Adapter from Apple in order to connect to the G1 Neo.

  6. 3.5mm Line Out
    It can be used to connect to a powered speaker or a streaming PC in a dual-PC streaming setup.

  7. 3.5mm Headphone Jack
    Supports cell phone headsets (TRRS plug), studio headphones (TRS plug).
    If you need to use the microphone of the headset, please connect it to the 19. TRRS Jack

  8. 3.5mm AUX IN
    Connect external audio sources for easy playback of background music during streaming and recording through an 3.5mm TRS to TRS audio cable.

  9. 3.5mm TRRS Headset Jack
    It supports a 3.5mm TRRS plug headset in the CTIA standard.
    You can only use either an XLR microphone or a headset, but not both simultaneously.
    When connecting a TRRS headset to this interface, the XLR input will be automatically disabled.

  10. Combo XLR/TRS microphone interface
    Supports XLR or ¼”(6.35mm) plug microphone input.
    Supports both dynamic and condenser microphones.

Setup Guide

1. PC Streaming

Maonocaster G1 Neo Gaming Audio Mixer - PC Streaming

  1. Connect the accompaniment source (mobile phone), headphones, and microphone to the sound card as shown in the figure.
  2. Use the included USB-C data cable to connect the computer and the Maonocaster G1 Neo. The computer will automatically recognize the device and install the driver.
  3. Enter the sound control panel of Windows, and set the “Maonocaster G1 Neo” as the system default playback and recording device in “playback” and “recording”.Maonocaster G1 Neo Gaming Audio Mixer - PC Streaming 2
  4. Open the streaming or recording software on your computer, and confirm “Maonocaster G1 Neo” is set as default audio recording and playback device.

Tips: Connecting your Gaming PC’s audio output to AUX port with a 3.5mm cable then connecting your Streaming PC with USB-C will allow a Dual PC streaming setup.

2. Smartphone Connection

Connection

  1. Connect the streaming phone, accompaniment device, headphones and microphone as shown in the figure.
  2. Turn on the power and adjust the various required sound effects.
  3. Use an App to start streaming or recording.

Maonocaster G1 Neo only supports one microphone input and is suitable for single-person recording live streaming.

3. Bluetooth Connectivity
Maonocaster G1 Neo supports Bluetooth audio input for background music and accompaniment.
(You can also refer to Item No.5 in function guide)

Pairing and connection:

  1. Turn on the device and the Bluetooth indicator starts flashing.
  2. Search for the device in your smartphone’s Bluetooth menu and find the “Maonocaster G1 Neo” Bluetooth device and click the name to connect.
  3. Bluetooth indicator remains solid after successful connection.
  4. Play your desired music or audio on your smartphone.
  5. Use a streaming or recording App on your phone to start content creation.

Notes:

  • Bluetooth connection is limited by distance. Do not place the phone too far away.
  • The Bluetooth connectivity is only for audio input.

4. Troubleshooting
4.1 Unable to power on
① Please check if the device is powered by USB bus or an external power supply.
② Press and hold the Logo button for more than 3 seconds to turn on the device.
4.2 No sound from the external audio source
① Check if the external audio source is connected to the AUX input or Bluetooth.
② Check the **AUX volume fader and slide it upward to gradually increase the volume.
③ Check if the volume of the audio input device is turned up.
4.3 No sound from the headphones
① Check if the headphone cable is plugged into the “headphone” jack.
② Check the “Headphones” knob and turn it to the right to gradually increase the volume.
4.4 No sound from the microphone
① Check if the microphone is correctly connected to the microphone input, unplug, and reconnect if necessary.
② Check the **
microphone volume fader and gradually increase the volume by sliding it upwards.
③ Confirm with the microphone dealer if your microphone is compatible with Maonocaster G1 Neo, or consult us for recommended microphone models.
④ XLR Condenser microphone needs to turn on the 48V.
4.5 No sound during live streaming
① Check if the “Maonocaster G1 Neo” is set as the default playback and recording device in the streaming software. If not, follow the instructions in the “PC Streaming Setup” section of this manual to set it up.
② Check if the microphone permission of the streaming software is turned on.
③ If an adapter is used to connect the streaming equipment, please use the official adapter of the streaming equipment brand to ensure compatibility.
4.6 How to obtain better sound quality
① Adjust the microphone volume and headphone volume to 75%.
② Adjust the microphone gain little by little and constantly test the sound, and choose the best microphone gain to obtain the best sound quality.
4.7 Noise problem
① Try to use it in a quiet environment with fewer electrical appliances.
② Check the connection status of the cable and whether the microphone interface is firmly connected.
③ Don’t adjust the microphone gain too high, try lowering it.
④ Avoid using third-party software during testing and directly use the local recorder to test.
⑤ If you use a mobile device, please note that Apple devices must use MFI- certified cables, and other brands should try to use original cables.
⑥ Change to other computer equipment or switch to a mobile phone for testing.

  • Do not use this product in situations where it is explicitly prohibited by law. Comply with relevant safety regulations and use this product safely to avoid accidents.
  • This product is not a toy for children. Keep it out of the reach of children.
