SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Always follow the basic safety instructions when using electrical products.
  • Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
  • Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of a table or worktop, or to come into contact with hot surfaces.
  • Do not use the product if it is damaged or not working properly, or if the power cord or plug are damaged. Take the product to an authorised service centre to be checked, repaired or adjusted.
  • If the power cord or plug are damaged they must be replaced by an authorised service centre to ensure safe use.
  • Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the product.
  • Pull out the plug before cleaning and when the product is not in use. Allow the product to cool before cleaning and before removing/replacing parts
  • This product can be used by children from 8 years and upwards and by persons with physical, sensorial or mental disabilities, or persons who lack experience or knowledge, if they are supervised or receive instructions concerning the safe use of the product and understand the risks involved with its use. Do not allow children to play with the product. Do not allow children to clean or maintain the product without supervision.
  • Store the product and its power cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock the product has an earthed plug that only fits earthed power points.
  • The plug must be plugged into a correctly installed and earthed power point.
  • Never leave the product unattended when switched on.
  • Only use the product on a dry, stable and level surface.
  • Do not put the product on or near a hot stove or in a hot oven.
  • Do not use the product outdoors.
  • Never use the product for anything other than the purpose it was designed for.
  • Do not use food that is so thick that the product will not close. Do not use metal foil or metal utensils in the product.
  • The product is intended for household use, or for use in staff rooms, hotel rooms or other similar places.
  • The product is not intended to be controlled by an external timer or a separate remote control.

WARNING!

  • Do not immerse the product, the power cord or plug, in water or any other liquid – risk of fire, electric shock and/or personal injury. Do not use the product if the power cord or plug are damaged, if the product is not working properly, if it has been exposed to water or another liquid, or if it is damaged in any other way.
  • Do not use accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer. The use of other accessories can result in fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.
  • Do not touch hot parts. Use the handles and knobs.

USE

BEFORE USINCi FOR THE FIRST TIME
  1. Grease the hotplates with a little cooking oil before using for the first time and fry a waffle as follows.
  2. Throw away the first fried waffle.
  3. Pull out the plug, allow the product to cool, and wipe the hotplates with a damp cloth
HOWTOUSE
  1. Plug in the plug. The power light goes red and the product warms up.
  2. The green status light goes on when the product is ready to use.
  3. Open the lid, pour the waffle mixture on the bottom hotplate and carefully close the lid. Do not pour in so much of the mixture that it runs out around the edges when closing the lid. Scrape off any mixture than runs out with a suitable plastic or wooden utensil.
  4. The waffle is ready when the green status light goes off. Open the lid and take out the waffle with a suitable plastic or wooden utensil. The frying can be stopped at any time by pulling out the plug.

NOTE:

  • Do not attempt to fry food that is so thick that you cannot close the lid. Do not force down the lid, this can damage the handle.
  • Do not use sharp utensils that can damage the nonstick coating. Only use heat-resistant utensils made of wood or plastic.
  • Pull out the plug and allow the product to cool completely before removing the hotplates.

WARNINGI

Do not touch the hotplates when in use – risk of burn injuries.

MAINTENANCE

  1. Clean the product after it has been used.
  2. Pull out the plug and allow the product to cool before cleaning.
  3. Wipe the hotplates with a soft damp cloth and then wipe dry. The hotplates can also be removed, by pulling out the two tabs (fig. 1), and washed in a dishwasher.
  4. Wipe the outside of the product with a cloth moistened with a mild detergent, and then wipe dry.
  5. Switch off and lock the product with the catch in the handle after cleaning.
  6. Store in a dry, cool place out of the reach of children. The product can be stored upright.

WARNINGI

Do not use strong or abrasive detergents, or anything that can damage the nonstick coating.
