HOW PA SYSTEM WORKS
A sound source (such as a human voice) generates sound waves to start the process (acoustical energy). A microphone picks up these vibrations and transforms them into electrical energy. This signal is increased in strength in an amplifier to the necessary level.
HOW TO SETUP
With the XP106wDE, becoming wireless is simple. Simply turn on your beltpack transmitter, insert the USB stick receiver from the XPD1 Headset into the speaker’s USB Wireless connector, and use the discreet DE5 Double-Ear Headset Microphone to enjoy your independence.
HOW TO CONNECT TO IPHONE
Link the iPhone to the XP106 through Bluetooth by using a mini-plug connector to connect the iPhone’s “headphone jack” to the input on the back of the device.
HOW PORTABLE MIC WORKS
The linked transmitter receives an audio signal from the wireless microphone. This audio signal is wirelessly sent by the transmitter using radio waves. These audio signals and radio waves are tuned to the receiver. An XLR cable is used by the receiver to output the balanced audio stream.
HOW TO CONNECT WIRELESS MIC TO PA SPEAKER
- Connect the power supply to the receiver first, then to a wall outlet.
- The receiver should be connected to one end of the XLR wire, and the microphone input in your room or on the PA system should be connected to the other.
HOW TO TEST A PA SPEAKER
Using a multimeter to measure them will frequently produce findings that could lead you to believe the speaker is subpar. The most effective method of testing them is to QUIETLY play a signal through them, listen to it, and then determine whether it generates sound. The speaker has to be replaced if it doesn’t work or sounds awful.
FAQs
where can I buy a replacement charger power supply cord for this unit?
It available at Amazon.com.
Is there a cable i could get for this or is there any way i would be able to play music from this and my bluetooth headphones simultaneously?
I have two of these speakers that I use with my keyboard and they are both wired directly to my keyboard. If I want to use my smart phone or tablet to play music through them using a Bluetooth connection, I can only make that connection with one of the speakers. My phone & tablet only have the capacity to make a Bluetooth connection with one Bluetooth speaker (or other type unit) at a time. In order to have phone or tablet sourced music play through both speakers, I have to activate the Bluetooth on one speaker & connect the other speaker with a hard wire (line-out plug to line-in plug) Both speakers play the music but only one of them is Bluetooth connected to music source.
Can the xpd2 mic work with this?
Yes.
How to put echo on the microphone?
There is no option for echo.
do they have an option that comes without a microphone? I don’t need a mic, and want to pair two of these
- Since there is Line-in and Line out, you can do that: Samson1’s Line-out is connected to Samson 2’s Line-in.
- If you do not need the microphone, then do not use the microphone. The purpose of this Samson XP106 is portable vocal amplification.
Can the mic be used without the speaker, for streaming or videos? Or is this mic only meant to be paired with the speaker that comes with it?
The XPD wireless microphone system can be connected to the USB port on a computer and be used for streaming videos.
Can the XP40iw wireless microphone be used with this system?
The XP106 does not have an integrated UHF receiver. The mic you are referencing requires a receiver so you would have to buy a separate UHF receiver to get this mic work with this system.
What are the speaker dimensions (not box)?
On the spec. sheet . go to samson website. Excellent speaker system for the money i bought another headset though.
Where can I get a replacement windscreen for the headset mic? Mine fell off and got lost. What size/ shape am I supposed to get and from where?
You ought to be able to get windscreens on Amazon.
Can u run on electric besides battery power?
Yes—it’s corded as well as battery. And the battery is internal and rechargeable, so you don’t need replacements.
Does the xlr input support mics needing phantom power?
To my understanding it does not comes with that feature. No phantom switch.
Is there a wireless hearing aid to connect to this system? Fitness class with one client very hard of hearing. The system only has a Bluetooth input and not an output. It does have a 1/4″ line out jack. You can plug in a wireless transmitter into the 1/4″ jack so that your client can receive audio. You’ll probably also need a 1/4″ to 1/8″ cable or adapter, as most transmitters take an 1/8″ connection.
Is there anyway to add reverb to the wireless mic?
No.
What type of battery is used so I can buy a spare?
The body pack takes two AA batteries, and you should never have to deal with the battery inside the speaker itself. I’ve had this for a year, and I like it–not as good as the Fender Passport Executive which I used for a number of years (that also came with a carrying case/shoulder strap). This is a little bulky, but is the next best thing I’ve found to my Fender.
Can the xpd2 mic work with this?
There is a quarter inch mic jack, so probably.
