We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.

Intended use

This product is intended for normal use. This product is only suitable for private use in dry indoor locations, e.g. in store- room or corridor. The product is not intended for commercial use or for use in other applications. For indoor use only!

  • Not suitable for ordinary lighting in household room illumination.

Safety instructions

DANGER TO LIFE AND RISK OF ACCIDENTS  FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN!

  • Never leave children alone and unsupervised with the packaging material. There is always a risk of suffocation if children play with the packaging material. Children often underesti-mate risks. Always keep children away from the packaging material.
  • This product is not a toy.
  • This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with re-duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction con-cerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the product.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
  • Children are not aware of the dangers associated with handling electrical products.
  • Do not use the product if you detect any kind of damage.

CAUTION! DANGER OF EXPLOSION!

  • Do not operate the product in potentially explosive environments in which there are inflammable vapours, gases or dusts.
  • Protect the product from moisture and damp. Never immerse the product in water or other liquids!
  • Connect the product to a properly installed mains socket only. The voltages in each case must comply with information given in the section “Technical data”.
  • Ensure that the electrical socket is easily ac-cessible so that you can pull the plug quickly out of the socket if necessary.
  • Do not carry out any modifications or repairs to the product yourself. The LEDs cannot and must not be replaced.
  • CAUTION! The protective surround to the LEDs cannot be replaced. Dispose of the product if you discover cracks or signs of fracture on the protective surround.
  • Dispose of the product if the product, the USB cable or the mains adaptor is damaged. N ever connect the product to a power supply socket if the product,
  • USB cable or socket is damaged or the product has been dropped. Ensure that the USB cable cannot become damaged by sharp edges or hot objects. Unwind the USB cable completely before use. K eep easily flammable materials away from the product. Never hang objects above the product or the mains adaptor and never cover them.
  • Disconnect the mains adaptor when you are not using the product or before you clean it.
  • Do this as well if signs of a fault develop during use or charging, e.g. smoke, burning smell etc., or during a storm. When doing this, pull directly on the mains adaptor.
  • Do not pull the USB cable. Protect the product from extreme heat and cold. The product is only suited for use with the included SELV adaptor.
  • Please note that the mains adaptor continues to draw a small amount of power even if the product is turned off as long as the mains adaptor is plugged into a power outlet. To switch the product off completely, unplug the mains adaptor from the socket.
  • The LEDs are not replaceable. If the LEDs fail at the end of their lifes, the entire product must be replaced.
  • Never throw batteries / rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
  • Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries / rechargeable batteries.

Risk of leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries

  • Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries / rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators / direct sunlight.
  • If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous mem-branes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES!

  • Leaked or damaged batteries / rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
  • This product has a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be replaced by the user.
  • The removal or replacement of the rechargeable battery may only be carried out by the manufacturer or their customer service or by a similarly qualified person in order to prevent hazards. When dis-posing of the product, it should be noted that this product contains a rechargeable battery.

Before use

Note: Remove all packaging materials from the product.

Charging the product

Note: You can charge the product from an ordinary domestic mains power outlet, by using the supplied USB cable 11 and the mains adaptor 12 . It takes approx. 6–8 hours. Note that the integral rechargeable battery must be charged before using the product. The rechargeable battery is firmly integrated into the base of the product.
Note: Fully charge the product before first use.

Note: Charge the product at least once a month, if it is to remain unused for an extended period of time.
Note: If the product has not been charged for an extended period of time (approx. 2 months), you could find that the integral rechargeable battery has entered a dormant state. Charge and discharge the product a number of times in succession to reactivate the integral rechargeable battery.
Note: You can choose to charge the product directly via the mains adaptor 12 or via the charging station.

  • Before charging, switch the product off (press ON / OFF switch 3 ).
  • To charge the product via mains adaptor 12 directly, remove the red rubber cover at the back of the product, connect the USB cable 11 with the USB connector of the mains adaptor 12 and then connect the USB (type C) connector on the USB cable 11 to the USB (type C) input socket 6 of the LED torch.
  • To charge the product via the charging station, connect the USB cable 11 with the USB connec-tor of the mains adaptor 12 and then connect the USB (type C) connector on the USB cable 11 to the USB (type C) input socket of the charging station 10 . Then place the product into the charging station to charge the product (see fig. B).
  • Note: The power indicator of the charging station 9 will turn to red light when electrical power is connected. It will light up red contin-uously until the power is disconnected.
  • Note: The product is fitted with an overcharge protection circuit. Despite this, you should dis-connect the LED inspection lamp from the power supply after the charging process is complete.
  • Note: The green charging indicators (LED torch) 4 will light up and flash during charging.
  • There are 4 indicator lights showing the charging progress (approx. 25 % / 50 % / 75 % / 100 %). When the indicator continually light on mean the represented charging progress was finished. When charging is complete, all indicator light out of the socket. Disconnect the mains adaptor 12 from the product to prevent the rechargeable battery from discharging.

Use

CAUTION! RISK OF ACCIDENT!

Always store and secure the product in such a way that there is no risk of injury from or damage to the product. Note: The product may be secured with the fold-out hook 5 or by securing it to a flat, ferromagnetic surface using the magnetic base 8 or the magnet
7 at the back. You can tilt the product up to 180 ° on the magnetic base 8 .
CAUTION! Please note the position of your hands whilst turning the magnetic base 8 to prevent pinching your fingers (see Fig. D).

Using the product without a power connection
Fully charge the product as described in the section “Charging the product“.
The product can be operated in 4 different modes, select these by:
Repeatedly pressing the ON / OFF switch 3 .

  • Repeatedly pressing the ON / OFF switch 3 .
  • Press once: The side light 2 lights up with white light.
  • Press twice: The side light 2 turns to UV light mode.
  • Press three times: Switches the side light 2 off and switches on the spotlight 1 .
  • Press four times: Switches off the product

Corded use of the product
Use the included mains adaptor 12 for this purpose. Using the respective mains adaptor 12 , connect the product to a suitable power supply. Then proceed as described under “Using the product without a power connection“ (starting with step 2).
Note: The product can only be charged whilst off!

Fixing the product

The product can be used in 2 ways without having to hold it in your hand:

  • Hold the magnet 7 at the back or the magnetic base 8 against a metallic magnetic surface. The product remains in this position.
  • Fold out the fold-out hook 5 to suspend the product from a suitable suspension point. The fold-out hook 5 can be turned through 360 degree.

Note: You will need an electric drill. CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Please read the operating instructions for your drill.
CAUTION! Ensure that you do not damage any electricity cables in the wall or ceiling.

  • Mark the two mounting holes at a distance of approx. 35 mm apart.
  • Now drill the holes on the wall (ø approx. 6 mm; depth approx. 30 mm).
  • Insert the dowels 15 into the drilled holes. If necessary use a hammer to make this easier. Screw up the screws 14 on the dowels 15 . N ow hang the charging station to the screws via the mounting holes 13 .
  • Use the included drill template intended for marking the drill holes.

Maintenance and cleaning

The product requires no maintenance. The LEDs cannot be replaced.

  • Switch off and disconnect the product from the power supply before you clean it.
  • Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
  • Do not use corrosive cleaning agents.
  • Clean the product regularly with a dry, fluff-free cloth. Use a slightly moist cloth to remove any stubborn dirt.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

  • Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and fibre-board / 80–98: composite materials.
  • The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.
  • Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
  • To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste.
  • Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

Faulty or used batteries/rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries/rechargeable batteries!

Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be dis-posed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries/rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.

Warranty and service

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase.

Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or main-tained improperly.
The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.

Warranty claim procedure

  • To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:
  • Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN 123456_7890) available as proof of purchase.
  • You will find the item number on the rating plate, an engraving on the front page of the instructions for use (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.
  • If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department listed either by telephone or by e-mail.
  • You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.
