  14. Only qualifi ed experts should perform repair and maintenance work on the appliance. Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
  15. Do not use any third-party accessories or attachments with the appliance as they may cause fi re, electric shock or injury.
  16. Do not place any combustible material like paper, cloth, wood, etc., on or near the appliance and never place the appliance on top of combustible material.
  17. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or countertop or allow it to touch hot surfaces.
  18. Do not touch the appliance shortly after using as it will be hot.
  19. Do not operate the appliance when oil tank is empty or without the minimum required oil level. It may cause deformation and/or discoloration of the oil tank.
  20. Do not operate the unit if the oil level is below the MIN (5.6L) fi ll line or above the MAX (8L) fi ll line. Doing so may result in injury to the user or damage to the appliance.
  21. Do not plug in or unplug the power cord with wet hands.
  22. The exterior of the deep fryer can become hot. Only place the appliance on surfaces that are resistant to high heat.
  23. Turn all controls to “OFF” before unplugging the appliance from an electrical outlet.
  24. Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in the appliance as they may cause fi re, electric shock or injury.
  25. Do not fry water- or ice-covered, frozen or wet food, as this may cause the hot oil to splatter.
  26. To protect against fi re, do not operate the unit in or around explosive or fl ammable environments.
  27. Keep jewelry such as rings, watches and other similar objects away from the appliance as they may become hot.
  28. Please use caution when handling exposed metal edges as they may be sharp.
  29. Keep at least 4” from walls or other objects when in use and while cooling down for proper ventilation.
  30. Keep air inlet and outlet free from blockages.
  31. Do not place objects affected by a magnet, such as a credit card, radio, television, etc., near the appliance while operating the unit.
  32. Confi rm that the voltage of the electrical outlet corresponds to the required voltage of this appliance.
  33. To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another electrical appliance on the same outlet or circuit.
  34. To protect against fi re, injury or electric shock, use a dedicated Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB).
  35. Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
  36. Do not use high-pressure water jetting to clean the appliance.
  37. This appliance is not intended to be operated with an external timer or separate remote control system.
  38. The symbol “O” on the ON/OFF button means “OFF”; the symbol “I” on the ON/OFF button means “ON”.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION:
To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another electrical appliance on the same outlet or circuit.

CAUTION: This induction deep fryer emits an electromagnetic fi eld, therefore people with pacemakers should consult with their physician before using.

Always follow basic safety precautions when using any electrical products, especially when children are present.

CAUTION: HOT SURFACES!
This appliance generates heat and releases steam during use. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, fi res or another injury to persons or damage to property.

PARTS IDENTIFICATION

KNOW YOUR DEEP FRYER

  1. ON/OFF Button with Indicator Light – Press to turn the deep fryer ON/OFF. Green light indicates the unit is “ON.”
  2. Temperature Control Knob – Turn the temperature control knob from “OFF” position to set the desired temperature.
  3. Heating Indicator Light – Red light indicates the heating is on. When the desired temperature is reached, the heating indicator light will turn off.
  4. Keep Warm Indicator Light – When the desired temperature is reached, the keep warm indicator light will turn on.
  5. Oil Tank – Stainless steel double wall construction for reliability and durability. With MAX and MIN level marks inside.
  6. Outer Housing – Stainless steel material for easy cleaning.
  7. Lid – Stainless steel construction with a handle. Dishwasher safe.
  8. Fryer Screen – Helps to fi lter out the dregs and secure the basket. Dishwasher safe.
  9. Basket – Fryer basket with heat-resistant handle to prevent scald. Dishwasher safe.
  10. Drain – For easy oil draining and appliance cleaning.
  11. Reset Switch – Located on the back of the deep fryer. Press to reset the appliance if needed.

SAFETY FEATURES

Automatic Shut-Off Function
If the deep fryer has been operated continuously for two (2) hours, it will turn off automatically, as required by safety regulations.
Overheat Protection
If the oil temperature exceeds 464°F, the temperature limiter will activate, the reset switch will pop up and the deep fryer cannot operate. If this happens, turn off and unplug the deep fryer. Allow the oil temperature drop to 380°F or lower and then unscrew the fryer cover on the back of the deep fryer and push down the reset switch to reset the appliance. If the reset switch is pushed when the oil temperature exceeds 380°F the switch will pop up again and the deep fryer will not operate.
Note: After pushing down the reset switch, the deep fryer will resume operation. But the oil temperature will exceed 464°F again and the temperature limiter will activate. When this happens, return the deep fryer to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

Boil Dry Protection
When the deep fryer is on, it will enter into self-checking mode for 20 seconds. If no oil has been detected in the oil tank, the heating indicator light will double-blink repeatedly while beeping to remind you add oil to the oil tank. The unit will become damaged due to overheating if operated without the minimum required level of oil.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Before the First Use
  • Remove all packaging materials. Keep plastic material out of reach of children.
  • Read all printed materials and save for future reference.
  • Wipe the outer housing clean with a damp cloth. NEVER immerse the unit, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
  • Wash basket, fryer screen and lid in warm, soapy water.
  • Wash the oil tank with warm water.
  • Dry all parts thoroughly before using.
  • Attach handle to basket.
  1. Squeeze the handle prongs and align one side of the prong with loop and metal bracket on the interior of the basket.
  2. Squeeze another handle prong and align with loop and metal bracket.
  3. Check to confi rm prongs are inserted fully into both the right and left loops and metal brackets.

How to Use

  1. Place the appliance on a fl at, stable surface, such as a dry and heat-resistant countertop or table.

  2. Use only food grade, good quality frying oil such as peanut, vegetable, pure corn, canola, sunfl ower, or light olive oil.

  3. Prior to fi lling the tank with oil, set the temperature control to “OFF” and close the drain valve. Place the fryer screen inside the oil tank so the basket can rest on it. duxtop-BT-350Z8C-Commercial-Induction-Deep-Fryer-with-Drain-fig-6

  4. Fill the tank with oil so that the level falls within the MIN and MAX markings.
    WARNING: Do not operate the unit if the oil level is below MIN (5.6L) or above MAX (8L), doing so may result in injury to the user or damage to the fryer.

  5. Plug the appliance into an electrical outlet. Confi rm that the voltage of the electrical outlet corresponds to the required voltage of this appliance.
    WARNING: Fill the oil tank with oil before plugging in the appliance.

  6. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit “ON”, the power indicator light will illuminate green.

  7. Turn the temperature control knob from “OFF” position to set the desired cooking temperature; the heating indicator light will illuminate red. When the preset temperature is reached, the heating indicator light will turn off and the keep warm indicator light will turn on.

  8. Once oil is preheated, fi ll the basket with food and gently lower into the oil so the basket rests on the fryer screen. Place the lid on the fryer and cook according to your preferred recipe.
    WARNING:

    • Do not fry water- or ice-covered, frozen or wet food, as this may cause the hot oil to splatter. Food should always be as dry as possible before placing into the oil.
    • Do not overfi ll the basket. Overfi lling may cause the oil temperature to drop below the required cooking temperature resulting in improperly fried food.
  9. When frying is complete, turn the temperature control knob and the “ON/OFF” button to the
    “OFF” position and unplug the appliance.

  10. Remove the lid and hang the basket on the fryer’s edge to let excessive oil drip into the oil tank.
    WARNING:

    • After the frying is complete, remove the basket from the oil within 60 seconds to avoid food soaking up excess oil.
    • Never touch the basket after frying as it will remain hot. Always use the basket handle.
    • Removing the lid will release hot steam. Use extreme care when handling. Keep face and bare skin away from the steam release areas.
  11. Remove the basket and use tongs to place the food on a plate lined with dry paper towels to absorb excess oil.

  12. Transfer the food to a serving dish and dispose of the paper towels.

  13. Allow all parts to cool down before cleaning.
    WARNING: Never attempt to move, clean, or disassemble the deep fryer until it has completely cooled.

Usage Tips
  • Never operate the deep fryer with less than the minimum required level of oil.
  • Do not mix different types of oil when frying.
  • When frying two or more foods, fry the food that requires the lowest temperature fi rst.
  • Pre-cooked foods generally require less frying time than the same food fried raw.
  • Replace the oil if it becomes dark, cloudy or thick, or if the oil gives off an unpleasant smell.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Caution

  • Always unplug the appliance and allow the oil to cool down before cleaning. Oil retains its temperature for a long period after use. Do not attempt to carry or move the deep fryer while the oil is hot.
  • Never use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals to clean any parts of the appliance.
  • Never immerse the unit, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.

Cleaning

  1. Remove the lid and basket. The lid, fryer screen and basket are dishwasher safe. They may also be washed in warm soapy water.

  2. Place an oil container below the oil drain and open the drain valve to empty oil into the container.
    Note: If you are not emptying the oil tank, use the lid to keep dust and foreign objects out of the oil.

  3. Wipe the outer housing with a soft, damp cloth and wipe dry thoroughly before storing.

  4. Use a vacuum cleaner hose to remove dust from the air outlet.

  5. Thoroughly dry all parts before reassembling or storing.
