INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Remove all the packing material and take out the electric kettle with the stand. Remove all possible adhesion foils, stick-on labels, or paper from the appliance. Before the first use, fill the electric kettle with clean water to the maximum level, turn it on and let the water boil. Then pour out the water and repeat the procedure several times (at least five times).

APPLICATIONS

Unwind the necessary length of the power cord C2 from the storage space of stand C. Place the stand on a suitable surface, in the height of about 85 cm, out of reach of children and incapacitated persons and plug the fork of the power cord to the electric socket (you will hear a signal sound and signal light indicators will flash). Hold kettle A on the handle A3. Open the lid A4 by pressing the lock button A5. Fill the kettle with drinking water. Minimum and maximum water level is indicated by watermark A2. Close the lid by snapping and positioning the kettle filled with water onto the removable base C (you will hear a signal sound and the signal light indicators B3 will flash).

ATTENTION

  • When heating water, the lid must be closed, otherwise, the steam sensor will not be working.
  • In bigger tilting of the electric kettle backward, particularly when it is filled up to maximum, water can flow out from the electric kettle in the bottom part of the kettle. This does not affect the safety or other functions and it does not mean any failure of the electric kettle. In the case of tilting the electric kettle with hot water, there is a risk of scalding. Therefore do not tilt the electric kettle.
  • Make sure the sieve and its cover are fit on thoroughly in the upper part of the kettle in order that it does not fall to the bottom!
  •  Recommendation: When the kettle is not used, do not place it on the stand connected to the mains. If you are going not to use the kettle for a long time, unplug the power cord from the wall socket.

Water heating to 100°C
Press the button B1 to automatically switch on the kettle to a temperature of 100 °C; the background coloring of the signal lights A1 will come on. By pressing the button B1 repeatedly, the kettle will switch off. As soon as the required temperature is reached, the kettle will switch off.
Water heating to a temperature of 40-90°C
Press the button B2 repeatedly to set the required temperature from the following options: 40-70-80-90°C; the selected temperature is indicated by the appropriate signal light indicator B3. The background coloring of the signal lights A1 will come on. As soon as the required temperature is reached, the kettle will switch off. During the heating process, you can change the selected temperature by pressing the temperature selection button B2. Please consider the following tips as examples and inspiration not intended to provide complete instructions, but just to show the possibilities of heating of various liquids. Water temperatures are only approximate and may vary according to personal taste, quantity, type, quality and age of the used tea, coffee, etc.

  •  40 °C = baby food,
  • 70 °C = green tea,
  • 80 °C = white tea,
  • 90 °C = oolong teas, coffee, instant drinks, soup,
  • 100 °C = black, herbal tea.

Note
To ensure maximum accuracy of the temperature set, which is lower than 100°C, we recommend heating no less than 0.7 liters of water (preferably more than 1 liter). Always use fresh drinking water for boiling. The temperature and time heating depends on the amount of water and the initial temperature of the water. For the correct temperature setting, follow the manufacturers‘ instructions that are described on food packages (e.g. tea, coffee, instant drinks, soap, etc.).

  • If you set a heating temperature that is lower than the current water temperature, you will hear a sound signal and the kettle will switch off.
  • Lifting the kettle off the stand cancels all the set functions.
  • If you are preparing food for very young children (e.g. 40 °C), the water must
be heated to a boil (100 °C) first. Wait until the water cools down and check its temperature before serving. The recommended safe temperature food for children is max. 40 °C.

MAINTENANCE

Clean the kettle only when it is cooled down! Do not use rough and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, scrapers, diluting agents, or other solvents)! The casing of the electric kettle and the heating bottom is made of top- quality stainless steel, but in common use, impurities from water get stuck on them (water scale), particularly above the heating element. It is not rust or another material defect of the kettle container and the appliance is not subject to a complaint for this reason.

Cleaning the kettle
Pour about 50 g citric acid into the kettle with the water scale sediment. Fill the kettle to about one-half and mix. After it dissolves, fill the kettle to 3/4 of the maximum amount of water. Place the electric kettle on the stand and turn it on. Before boiling, turn off the kettle, let the solution take effect for about 10 minutes and then pour it out.

Clean the kettle thoroughly with clean water. Repeat the whole procedure if the kettle is too soiled. Clean the electric kettle regularly!

Cleaning the sieve (A6)
Take the sieve from the kettle. Clean it from possible sediments in running water using a fine brush. Then put the sieve back in the opposite way. Expert service must do the large maintenance or to intervene into inside parts of the appliance! Non-observance of the instructions of the manufacturer cancels the right to guarantee repair!
