Charging
Cabela’s CTL Flashlights all include a lithium-ion battery with a micro-USB rechargeable design. Each light is also compatible with Lithium CR123A batteries (not included).
To charge your battery:

  •  Locate the included Micro USB to USB type A charging cord.
  •  Remove the battery from the flashlight.
  •  Plug the Micro USB end of the cord into the USB type B port located on the end of the battery.
  •  Now insert the USB type A end of the cord into a properly rated power source. Charging will begin immediately. There is an indicator light on the battery: Red means charging and Blue means fully charged. Depending on power source, charging may take up to 5 hours.

Note: It is highly recommended that you only charge the battery with the included cord. Do not use an adapter that will exceed 5V.

Tailcap charging

The 1000 and 1200 models have a direct-charge capability that will allow you to recharge the battery without removing it from the flashlight.

  •  Locate the tailcap charge cord.
  •  Pull back the rubber cover on the tailcap charge port. It is located next to the Tai leap switch.
  • Insert the male end of the tailcap cord into the charge port on the tailcap of the flashlight. Plug the USB end of the cord into the power source. Charging will begin immediately. There is an indicator light on the tailcap: Blue flashing means charging. Blue solid means charged.
  • There is a cutout on the tail cap that allows the ridges on the charge cord to lock into place. Untwist to remove once the light is charged.Cabela s PG21275350 Flashlight 1Cabela s PG21275350 Flashlight 1

  • Always keep batteries away from children.

  •  All batteries can explode, catch fire, and potentially cause injuries if punctured, cut, crushed, short-circuited, incinerated, disassembled, recharged (disposable batteries only), or exposed to water, fire, or extreme temperatures.

  •  Follow directions in the owner’s manual for battery installation. Replace all batteries at the same time and do not load batteries in backward.

  • Store loose batteries in a cool, dry, ventilated area that does not include hazardous or combustible materials.

  • For best performance and product safety, replace depleted batteries with Cabela’s-brand batteries. It is highly recommended that any alternate brand replacement be a compatible, UL-certified battery.

  •  Never attempt to recharge a disposable 123A lithium battery.

  • Only recharge lithium-ion (and LFP 123A) rechargeable batteries with their manufacturer

  • Failure to follow any of these instructions could result in damage to your flashlight.

  • Follow all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the transport, shipping, and disposal of batteries. For details on recycling batteries, please contact a government recycling agency or local waste disposal service. You may also refer to:
