SPECTRA FOCUS DATA COLLECTOR MODEL 2

The Spectra Geospatial® FOCUS® data collector model 2 is an attachable controller designed to run field software for surveying.

For enhanced security, it is recommended that you set a PIN, Password or Pattern on the device before field use. The FOCUS data collector model 2 can be attached to a Spectra Geospatial FOCUS 50 total station, or it can be used with a Robotic Holder Model 2 or Docking Station Model 2.

POWER SUPPLY

CAUTION:  The power supply for the FOCUS data collector model 2 (Docking Station Model 2) is intended for indoor use only and shall not be exposed to moisture or liquids.

OPERATION OF THE FOCUS DATA COLLECTOR MODEL 2

To operate the FOCUS data collector model 2 it must be attached to a FOCUS 50 total station, a Docking Station Model 2, or to a Robotic Holder Model 2 for power supply.

CAUTION:  If the equipment is used in a manner not specified by Spectra Geospatial, the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.

ATTACHING TO THE DOCKING STATION MODEL 2

  1. Hook the catches in place on the Docking Station Model 2.
  2. Push towards the Docking Station Model 2 until it locks in place.

REMOVING FROM THE DOCKING STATION MODEL 2

  1. Push the lock release to unlock from the Docking Station Model 2.
  2. Remove from the Docking Station Model 2.

CONNECTING THE DOCKING STATION MODEL 2

To the computer via the Hirose-to-USB cable or to the memory stick via the Hirose-to-USB stick cable.

POWER ON/OFF

  • Press the power key to start the FOCUS data collector model 2. To shut down the FOCUS data collector model 2, press and hold the power key. Select Power off from the menu.
