IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

1. Do not operate electric wine opener with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance malfunctions or if it is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest Authorized Service Center for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put the electric wine opener in water or other liquid. This may cause personal injury and/or damage to the product.
3. To protect against fire, do not operate the unit in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
4. Do not use the electric wine opener for other than intended use.
5. This product is intended for normal domestic household use only.
6. When using or recharging the electric wine opener keep your workspace clean and free from potential hazards.
7. For indoor use only. Do not expose the electric wine opener or changing unit to rain or other extreme conditions.
8. Never force the electric wine opener onto a bottle or attempt to speedup the mechanism. The electric wine opener will work best when it is operated at it’s intended speed.
9. Do not touch or adjust the electric wine opener’s mechanism or the corkscrew spiral. Only hold the electric wine opener by its plastic housing.
10. Do not attempt to open the electric wine opener or the recharging unit. It has no serviceable parts. Your electric wine opener is guaranteed for one year. In the event of a malfunction in this time please contact our customer services department.
11. Only recharge the electric wine opener using the recharging unit and power cord supplied.
12. Never remove the plug from the socket by pulling the power cord.

CAUTION: Corkscrew is sharp. Handle carefully. Keep hands and utensils out of the container while operating to prevent the possibility of severe personal injury and /or damage to the product or property.

Before you use this product for the first time, please take a few moments to read these instructions and keep it for reference.

RECHARGABLE WINE OPENER:

OPERATING INSTRUCTION

We recommend that you charge your electric wine opener for at least eight hours before using it for the first time.

Please follow the instructions for recharging below:

• Plug the jack of the adapter into the base of the recharging unit and the plug into a main socket. Place the electric wine opener into recharging unit ensuring that it is firmly in position and that it is fully engaged with the recharging connection.
• It will take approximately 8/10 hours to recharge your electric wine opener is fully recharged.

Note: when the unit is not used for long time, it is advised to remove it from the charging base.

To Operate your electric Wine Opener

1. Before remove the cork you must remove any foil from the bottle using the cutter provided (see fig.2)

2. Place the electric wine opener on top of the wine bottle making sure that it remains as upright as possible at all times. If you hold the electric wine opener at an angle to the bottle it will not remove the cork properly. (see fig.3)

3. Hold the electric wine opener firmly and depress the Pull Button, the corkscrew spiral will turn in a clockwise direction and enter the cork ,then gradually remove it from the bottle. When the electric wine opener mechanism stopped the cork has been fully removed from the bottle.

4. Lift the electric wine opener away from the bottle to remove the cork simply depress the Release Button the spiral will turn in an counterclockwise direction and release the cork.(see fig.4)

5. Always return the electric wine opener to the recharging unit when finished with it. this will protect the mechanism while it is not in use.

INFORMATION TO USERS OF DOMESTIC EQUIPMENTS

Pursuant to Art. 25, Paragraph 1 of the Legislative Act N. 49 14th March 2014, “Implement of the Directives 2011/65 / EU and 2012/19 / EU concerning the reduction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, as well as waste disposal”.

The crossed bin symbol on the appliance or on its packaging indicates that the product at the end of its useful life must be collected separately from other waste. The user must, therefore, dispose the equipment at the end of its life to the appropriate electronic and electro technical waste centers, or return it to the retailer at the time of purchase of a new type of equivalent equipment, one by one.

Appropriate separate disposal for the subsequent start-up of the disused equipment for recycling, treatment and compatible environmental disposal helps to avoid possible negative effects on the environment and health and favors the re-use and / or recycling of the materials it is composed the equipment.

The illegal disposal of the product by the user involves the application of the penalties referred to in current laws.
Any rechargeable batteries or rechargeable batteries contained in the device must be disposed separately in the appropriate expired batteries bins.

Battery disposal

Disposal of expired batteries must take place at the appropriate recycling centers or according to local authority. Batteries in compliance with the 2013/56/EC directive.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Read this Instruction Manual before you attempt to connect or operate the appliance.
2. Keep these instructions in good condition. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions.
3. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product.
4. No naked flame sources, such as candles, should be placed on the product.
5. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
6. Ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings.
7. Ensure that the unit is plugged into an AC 100-240V 60/50Hz power outlet. Using higher voltage may cause the unit to malfunction or even fire catching. Turn off the unit before unplugging it from power source to completely switch it off.
8. Do not plug/ unplug the power plug into/from an electrical outlet with wet hands.
9. If the power plug does not fit into your outlet, do not force the plug into an electrical socket.
10. Place the unit where there is good ventilation. Place the system on a flat, hard and stable surface. Do not expose to temperatures above 40°C. Allow at least 30 cm clearance from the rear and the top of the unit and 5 cm from each side.
11. Press the buttons of the unit gently. Pressing them too hard can damage the unit.
12. Always ensure that the product is unplugged from the electrical outlet before moving or cleaning. Clean it with dry cloth only.
13. Unplug the product during lightning, storms or when it will not be used for long periods of time.
14. This product has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair this product yourself Only qualified service personnel should perform servicing. Take the product to the electronics repair shop of your choice for inspection and repair.
15. Don’t mount this product on a wall or ceiling.
16. Do not place the unit near TVs, speakers and other objects that generate strong magnetic fields.
17. Do not leave the unit unattended when it is in use.
