About this Manual, This manual is provided to help you get the most out of
your Stream to USB Capture. It covers all aspects of the device, including
installation, configuration, and operation.

Chapter 1 , Introduction introduces you to Stream to USB Capture,
with its purpose, features, and components described.

streams from ATEN video streaming devices.
Chapter 3 , Settings describes other settings provided by Stream to
USB Capture, including warning messages and mirroring video streams.

Chapter 1 Introduction
Overview
ATEN Stream to USB Capture is an easy-to-use video streaming capture software that can capture RTMP video streams from ATEN video streaming devices, such as UC9020 and UC9040, and then convert them into UVC format to be used on a Windows computer.

1. Items to Prepare
Below is a list of items you should prepare before using your Stream to USB Capture software.

1 computer (for Stream to USB Capture) with the following specs:
Stream to USB Capture system requirementsOS| Windows 10 (64-bit)
Processor| Intel multi-core i5/7 series 2.5 GHz (or AMD equivalent) or above
Memory| 8 GB RAM or above -
At least 1 ATEN streaming device within the same LAN, as exemplified below.

2. Installing Stream to USB Capture on Your Computer
- On your computer, install Stream to USB Capture by executing Install_ATEN_Stream_to_USB_Capture_64bit_Vx.x.xxx.exe and following the on-screen instructions.
- Once installed, launch ATEN Stream to USB Capture. The following graphical user interface (GUI) appears.
Click + New Stream and follow the on-screen instructions to start adding ATEN streaming devices. See 3. Adding ATEN Streaming Devices, page 6, for details.
3. Adding ATEN Streaming Devices
When clicking + New Stream , you are provided with 2 methods of adding ATEN streaming devices:

Add a Stream Automatically | Adds ATEN streaming devices by searching for them |
within the LAN.

Add a Stream Manually| Adds a specific ATEN streaming device by entering its
information.
See Adding Streaming Devices Manually, page 8.
Adding Streaming Devices Automatically
- Click and Add a Stream Automatically.
- Wait for the software to search for all ATEN streaming devices within the LAN. Once finished, all available streaming devices are listed.
- Select a streaming device you want to add and click Next.
- A Username, Password, Stream Key, and Network Adapter shall be automatically generated /selected. Optionally define a Name for the streaming device.
- Click Add to finish.
- Once successfully added, the following success icon appears and the streaming device is added to your device list.
Adding Streaming Devices Manually

Click and Add a Stream Manually.

Enter the information of the ATEN streaming device you want to add.• Name: Optionally define a desired name for the streaming device you are adding.
• IP Address: Type the IP address of the streaming device you are adding.
• Username/Password: Upon adding the streaming device, a username and password are generated automatically.
• Stream Key: Upon adding the streaming device, a designated stream key is generated automatically.
• Network Adapter: If you have more than 1 network adapter, select the one you want to use. -
After entering the required information, click Add to finish.

Once successfully added, the following success icon appears.
Your Streaming Device List
After adding the desired streaming devices, you can select any one of them to
edit its settings or remove it, as illustrated below.
4. Playing a Video Stream
To play and view a video stream, do the following
- Select a desired streaming device and click ▶ to play its video stream, as exemplified below.
- Once the video stream starts playing, you can view it by clicking , as exemplified below.

Accessing Software Settings
To access Stream to USB Capture’s Settings page, click , as demonstrated below.
Setting Options

Stop Stream
Warning Message| Enable to display warning messages upon stopping a video
stream.
Switch Stream
Warning Message| Enable to display warning messages upon switching from one
video stream to another.
Mirror Stream Video| Enable to mirror the video stream being played, as
illustrated below.
Auto Start the Application| Enable to automatically start the software upon starting your computer.

Limited Warranty
ATEN warrants its hardware in the country of purchase against flaws in
materials and workmanship for a Warranty Period of two [2] years (warranty
period may vary in certain regions/countries) commencing on the date of
original purchase. This warranty period includes the LCD panel of ATEN LCD
KVM switches.
Select products are warranted for an additional year (see A+
Warranty for further details). Cables and accessories are not covered
by the Standard Warranty.
What is covered by the Limited Hardware Warranty
ATEN will provide a repair service, without charge, during the Warranty
Period. If a product is detective, ATEN will, at its discretion, have the
option to (1) repair said product with new or repaired components, or (2)
replace the entire product with an identical product or with a similar product
which fulfills the same function as the defective product. Replaced products
assume the warranty of the original product for the remaining period or a
period of 90 days, whichever is longer. When the products or components are
replaced, the replacing articles shall become customer property and the
replaced articles shall become the property of ATEN.
