General safety instructions

To avoid malfunctions, damage and health hazards when working with the machine, the following points must be observed in addition to the general rules for safe working:

  • Check the machine for completeness and function before putting it into operation. Use the machine only if the guards and other protective devices required for the processing are installed, in good operating condition and correctly maintained.
  • Ensure sufficient space around the machine!
  • Use only faultless tools, which are free of cracks and other defects (e.g. deformations).
  • Check the connections of the machine for strength before each use.
  • Never leave the running machine unattended. Switch off the machine before leaving the working area and secure it against unintentional or unauthorized restart.
  • The machine may only be operated, maintained or repaired by persons who are familiar with it and who have been informed about the dangers arising in the course of this work.
  • Make sure that unauthorized persons keep an appropriate safety distance from the machine and keep children away from the machine.
  • Always work carefully and with the necessary caution and never use excessive force.
  • Do not overload the machine!
  • Shut down the machine and disconnect it from the power supply before adjustment, changeover, cleaning, service or maintenance work, etc. (remove the battery).
  • Do not work on the machine if you are tired, not concentrated or under influence of medicine, alcohol or drugs!
  • Do not use the machine in areas where vapors of paints, solvents or flammable liquids are a potential hazard (risk of fire or explosion!).
Specific safety instructions for this machine
  • Do not direct the high-pressure jet at persons, active electrical equipment or the machine itself.

  • The machine is not suitable to be connected to the drinking water supply directly.
    CHARGER:

  • The charger is only suitable for charging the supplied battery of the machine. Charging other batteries is not permitted.

  • Never use the charger in a damp or wet environment.

  • Only disconnect cable connections by pulling the plug. Pulling at the cable could damage cable and plug and the electrical safety would not be guaranteed anymore.

  • Never use the charger if the cable, plug or the device itself is damaged by external influences. Then take the charger to the nearest specialist workshop.

  • Do not operate the appliance near heat sources.

  • Do not use an extension cable to connect the power supply of the charging station.

  • Do not place metal objects in the area of the charging contacts of the charging station.

  • Never open the charger. In case of a malfunction, contact a specialist workshop.

  • Only use the original charger to charge the battery. Using other chargers may cause defects or fire.
    BATTERY:

  • Vapors may escape if used improperly or if the battery is damaged. These vapors can irritate the respiratory tract. Supply fresh air and consult a doctor if you have any complaints.

  • FIRE HAZARD! Never charge batteries in the vicinity of acids and highly flammable materials.

  • Only charge the battery in an ambient temperature between 10° C and +40° C. Let the battery cool down after heavy charging.

  • DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Protect battery from heat and fire.

  • Use battery only in an ambient temperature between 5° C and +40° C.

  • DANGER OF SHORT CIRCUIT! For disposal, transport or storage the battery must be packed (plastic bag, box) or the contacts must be taped.

  • Never open the battery

  • The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as nails or screwdrivers or by external force. An internal short circuit may occur and the battery may burn, smoke, explode or overheat. For disposal, transport or storage, the battery must be packed (plastic bag, box) or the contacts must be taped

Hazard warnings

Despite their intended use, certain residual risks remain.
Residual risks:

  • Noise hazard:
Working without hearing protection can damage your hearing permanently.

  • Danger from the working environment:
Watch out for stones and other things that can be thrown around by the machine.

  • Danger to hands or fingers:
Never reach into the water jet during operation.

  • Danger from high-pressure hose:
Damaged high pressure hoses can burst and cause a potentially dangerous situation or injury.
High-pressure hoses should not be kinked, squeezed, twisted or damaged in any way. If they do, replace the high-pressure hose.

  • Vibration :
If persons with circulatory disorders are exposed to strong mechanical vibrations, damage to blood vessels and/or nervous system may occur. The following symptoms can be caused by vibrations on fingers, hands or wrists: “falling asleep” of body parts (numbness), tingling, pain, stinging, change in skin color or skin. If any of these symptoms occur, consult a doctor!

Due to the design and construction of the machine, hazardous situations may occur when
handling the machines, which are identified as follows in these operating instructions:
