- Systems that pose an accident risk should not be operated by remote control unless the complete range of movement of the system is visible to the user.
- The local safety regulations for the system must be observed to ensure safe operation.

- Remote control of devices and systems with increased accident risk (e.g. hoists) is prohibited.
- The remote control must only be used for devices and systems in which radio interference in the transmitter or receiver will not endanger people, animals or objects, or the risk is reduced by other safety devices.
- The operator is not protected against interference caused by other telecommunications equipment or devices (e.g. wireless systems which are being operated properly in the same frequency range).

Switch on
The GIGAcom is disabled on delivery. It must be enabled before initial
commissioning.
- Press and hold the button (M).
- Î LED 2 flashes orange.
- Î After 5 seconds LED 1 lights red and
- LED 2 lights orange.
- Î Backlighting is switched on.
Programming to transmitter
NOTE!
To ensure that using the GIGAcom is as simple and convenient as possible,
always note that the ▲ button is consistently used for UP and the ▼ button is
used for DOWN. See the instructions for the receiver or the operator for the
correct procedure for setting the radio receiver in programming mode and the
correct response of the LED on the receiver at the various phases of the
programming process.
- Setting receiver to programming mode to define UP and DOWN.
- Select the required future memory slot with the keypad on the GIGAcom.
- Î LED 2 lights green during input of a number from 0 – 9.
- Î LED 2 lights orange during input of a number from 10 – 99.
- Press the desired direction button.
- ▲ for gate OPEN
- ▼ for gate CLOSE
- Î LED 1 lights orange.
Deleting from the receiver
See the instructions for the receiver or the operator for the correct procedure for setting the radio receiver in delete mode and the response of the LED at the various phases of the delete process.
- Set receiver in delete mode.
- Select the memory slot that is to be deleted with the keypad on the GIGAcom.
- Î LED 2 lights green during input of a number from 0 – 9.
- LED 2 lights orange during input of a number from 10 – 99.
- Press the direction button that is to be deleted.
- ▲ for gate OPEN
- ▼ for gate CLOSE
- Î LED 1 lights orange.
Switch on backlighting
- Press the ● button briefly.
- The backlighting lights for approx. 10 seconds.
- The backlighting switches off immediately when the transmit button is pressed.
NOTE! If no favorites have been saved and a number button was not pressed, the lighting is also activated by pressing the ▲ or ▼ button for approx. 10 seconds.
Operation
Requirements
- GIGAcom is switched on.
- The desired radio command is programmed on the correct receiver.
- GIGAcom battery is not yet flat.
Select gate/command
- Enter the number of the desired gate with the keypad.
- If more than 2 numbers are entered in succession, LED 2 flashes red, and the input is canceled.
- Select the desired direction of movement by pressing the ▲ or ▼ button.
- Î LED 1 lights orange during transmission.
- Î LED 1 lights green. (On SOMloq2)
- Î Gate starts moving.
Saving favorite
If a gate is actuated particularly frequently, it can be saved as a favorite. Favorites do not need to be selected on the keypad before they are actuated.
- Press and hold (M) longer than 5 seconds to initiate the save process
- Î LED 1 lights green for 10 seconds
- The following steps must be performed within the 10-second time window.
- Enter the number of the gate that is to be saved as a favorite with the keypad.
- Î LED 2 lights green.
- Press the (M) button briefly.
- Î LED 1 lights red for 2 seconds and
- LED 2 lights orange simultaneously for 2 seconds.
- Î Favourite is saved.
Deleting favorite
- Press and hold (M) longer than 10 -seconds.
- Î LED 1 flashes green.
- Release button (M).
- Press the (M) button briefly
- Î LED 1 light red for 2 seconds and
- LED 2 lights orange simultaneously for 2 seconds.
- Î Favourite is deleted.
Replacing battery
WARNING
- Never leave batteries within reach of children. Call a doctor immediately if a battery is swallowed.
- Do not open or recharge the battery or allow it to come into contact with water, fire or high temperatures.
- Replace the battery only with CR 123A (3V).
- Dispose of the battery according to locally applicable regulations.
- Pull off screw cover (3).
- Unscrew the screw (4).
- Rotate GIGAcom and unscrew the bottom screws (5).
- Lift bottom section of housing.
- Replace the battery (6).
- Proceed in reverse order to reassemble.
