Manual
Dear Customers,
Before using the appliance, read the instructions carefully and keep them for
future reference.
The appliance must only be used by those familiar with the instructions below. Only use the appliance under supervision.
Explanation of warnings
Please read and observe all warnings. Failure to observe the warnings may result in injuries or property damage!
Safety instructions
Danger to certain categories of persons

In the event that this appliance is to be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with lack of experience or knowledge, the user must be supervised or instructed regarding the safe use of the appliance and must have an understanding of the consequent potential risks of danger.

The appliance must not be used by children.
Keep the appliance and its power cord away from children. -
Children must not play with this appliance.

Keep packaging material away from children. There is a risk of suffocation!
Risk of electric shock
- Before commissioning, check the whole appliance, including the power cord and any accessories, to ensure that there are no defects or damage, which could impair the functional safety of the appliance. For example, if the appliance has fallen onto the floor, or the power cord has been pulled, there may be damage that cannot be seen from the outside. In such cases, do not operate the appliance.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid or clean it under running water.
Unplug the power cord
- before any assembly or disassembly,
- when the appliance is not used for a longer period of time,
- in the event of problems during operation,
- before cleaning, every time.
Risk of burns and scalds
Caution. The exterior surfaces, glass jug, and hotplate become hot during use
and will remain so for some time afterwards. There is a risk of burns or
scalds.
- Do not touch these components during and after use, and allow sufficient time for them to cool down.
- Always let the appliance cool down first before refilling with fresh water. When filling the appliance with fresh water shortly after a brewing cycle is complete, there is a risk of scalding from hot water or steam escaping through the vents on the top of the appliance.
Intended Use
The appliance must only be used for making coffee from roasted ground or whole coffee beans.
Warning. Any other use not mentioned in the
instructions is considered improper use and
could result in serious injury or damage to
the appliance. This appliance is intended for
household use and similar applications, such as
- in kitchens used by employees in shops, offices and similar work environments,
- in agricultural working environments, by customers in hotels, motels and other typical residential environments,
- in establishments offering bed and breakfast.
Warning. Risk of injury. Misuse of the appliance can lead to injuries.
Caution. Property damage. Never operate the appliance in a closed
cabinet.
Instructions for use of the product
Risks due to poor hygiene
- First, flush the appliance after prolonged storage.
- Rinse the water container, filter insert, filter ring, gold-tone filter and glass jug regularly in clean water.
- Do not immerse the thermal jug, but rinse it with hot water and a little detergent.
- Please refer to “Cleaning and Care” for further instructions.
Risk of damage to the appliance
- Do not use green or caramelised coffee beans with this appliance.
- To prevent damage to the grinding mechanism, any grinding level adjustments must be made during the grinding process.
In case of a defective appliance
- Check the appliance for damage before every use. Do not use the appliance if it shows any signs of damage.
- Any repairs to the appliance or its power cord must only be carried out by our customer
service.
Choosing a coffee making mode
Once you have chosen the desired mode, the appliance will prepare coffee once
at the set time using the presets. Ensure the appliance is properly assembled
during coffee preparation to avoid the risk of damage.
Cleaning and Care
Descaling
- Depending on the water quality (lime content) and the frequency of use, all household appliances using hot water require regular descaling to ensure proper functioning.
- Any warranty claim will be null and void if the appliance malfunctions due to insufficient descaling.
Disposal
Appliances marked with this symbol must be disposed of separately from household waste.
These appliances contain valuable raw materials that can be recycled. Proper disposal of these items protects the environment and public health. Your local authority or retailer can provide detailed information on proper disposal.
Warranty
- The buyer’s statutory rights with regard to defects shall apply if the appliance is defective. The buyer may exercise any of these rights free of charge. You shall assert these rights against your contract partner, i.e. the dealer from whom you purchased the appliance. The contractual arrangements between you and the dealer shall be observed. Your statutory rights with regard to defects are in no way restricted or affected by this warranty. We as the manufacturer have voluntarily and additionally taken on the warranty service.
- This warranty shall apply as follows:
If the appliance is defective at the time of the transfer of risk (i.e. at the time of receipt of the appliance) within the meaning of the statutory provisions, we as the manufacturer will remedy the defect free of charge within a reasonable time, at our discretion, or provide you with a new defect- free appliance. This warranty is not a durability warranty.
This warranty applies to the appliance referred to in the operating manual that contains this warranty statement. This warranty applies to newly bought appliances only. The warranty shall not apply to equipment that has been used, repaired, altered or otherwise modified by a third party (also referred to as “refurbished” equipment).
You may only receive the warranty service if you assert your rights under this warranty within two years of receipt of the appliance (e.g. from the time you pick it up in a shop in case of a purchase in stationary retail and from the delivery date in case of shipment), as described in section 4 below. We will not assume any further voluntary obligations, such as the reimbursement of transport, installation and dismantling expenses. Our statutory obligations will remain unaffected.
The warranty does not cover any defects or faults caused by:
- Incorrect setup or installation, e.g. nonobservance of the applicable safety regulations or the written instructions for use, installation and assembly
- Improper use, including improper operation or misuse
- External influences, such as transport damage, damage caused by shock or impact, damage caused by the weather
- Current and voltage fluctuations outside the tolerance limits
- Non-observance of maintenance and cleaning work according to the instructions for use
- Use-conditioned or natural wear-andtear, such as the decreasing charging capacity of rechargeable batteries, lamps or components that typically require regular replacement during the life cycle of the product.

4. You can assert your rights under this warranty by contacting your contract
partner, i.e. the dealer from whom you purchased the appliance, and providing
them with the following information:
- Your full name, address details and phone number or email address at which you can be reached.
- Description of the defect of your appliance (a brief description of the defect signs is enough)
- Date of purchase or, if different, date of delivery of the appliance.
Your dealer will then contact us and take care of everything else.
You can also contact our customer service directly and provide the aforementioned information.
