Terms
The Telecody+/Courier operates based on certain terms:

Product Usage Instructions
Switching On
Before initial commissioning, the Telecody+/Courier must be enabled.
Programming to Receiver
Follow the receiver/operator instructions for programming the Telecody+/Courier to the receiver. The process involves:
- Set the receiver to programming mode.
- Enter the desired radio command/access code using buttons 0-9.
Changing Access Code
To change the access code, follow these steps:
- Press button P.
- Enter the old access code.
- Press button P again.
- Enter part 1 of the new access code by pressing the
corresponding buttons.
Deleting Access Code from Radio Command
If you want to use a radio command without an access code, follow these steps:
- Press button P.
- Enter the old access code.
- Press button P again.
- Enter part 1 of the access code by pressing the corresponding
button(s).
Resetting to Factory Settings
To reset the Telecody+/Courier to factory settings, follow these steps:
- Press button M.
- Press button P.
- Enter the 9-digit reset code (refer to the sticker).
- Press button M again.
- Press button P again.

Reset code sticker
Keep the sticker with the reset code in a safe place. The reset code is
required to delete all programmed access codes, e.g. if the access code has
been forgotten.
Functional description
- The Telecody+/Courier sends a radio command to a receiver after input of the correct access code.
- If the receiver is a SOMloq2 radio receiver, the receipt of the radio command is confirmed, and LED 1 on the Telecody+/Courier lights up.

Radio commands
The Telecody+/Courier can send 12 radio commands directly by pressing a button. 10 commands (numbers 0 – 9) can be coded.
Switching on
The Telecody+/Courier must be enabled before initial commissioning.
- Press and hold button M.
- LED 2 flashes three times.
- Then LEDs 1 + 2 light up for two seconds.
- Backlighting is switched on.
Programming to receiver
See the instructions for the receiver/operator for information on the receiver.
- Set receiver to programming mode.
- Enter the desired radio command/access code
- Buttons 0 – 9 and ●○can be used.
The buttons ●○ cannot be programmed with an access code.
- Buttons 0 – 9 and ●○can be used.
Programming access code
An access code consists of 2 parts with a total of 8 characters.
Part 1 (character 1)
desired radio command must be input every time the access code is entered
Part 2 (character 2 – 8)
desired access code (freely selectable)
Example of access code for radio command 1 1 8 3 5
- Press button P.
- Press button 1.
- Press button P again.
- Radio command 1 is selected.
- Enter part 1 of the access code:
- Press button 1.
- Enter part 2 of the access code:
- Press button 8.
- Press button 3.
- Press button 5.
- Press button P.
- LEDs 1 + 2 light up for 2 seconds.
- The access code for radio command 1 is now: 1835
- Enter 1835 to check the access code.
- LED 2 lights up briefly.
- LED 1 lights up (with SOMloq2 radio receivers as confirmation of receipt)
- Access code successfully programmed.
Changing access code
Example: The above access code 1835 is changed to 194686
- Press button P.
- Enter old access code: 1835.
- Press button P again.
- Enter part 1 of the access code:
- Press button 1.
- Enter part 2 of the access code:
- Press button 9
- Press button 4
- Press button 6
- Press button 8
- Press button 6
- Press button P.
- LEDs 1 + 2 light up for 2 seconds.
- The access code for radio command 1 is now: 194686.
- Enter 194686 to check the access code.
- LED 2 lights up briefly
- LED 1 lights up (with SOMloq2 radio receivers as confirmation of receipt)
- Access code successfully programmed.
Deleting access code from radio command
For example, if radio command 3 is protected by an access code and is to be
used without a code in future:
- Press button P.
- Enter old access code.
- Press button P again.
- Enter part 1 of the access code:
- Press button 3.
- Press button P.
- LEDs 1 + 2 light up for 2 seconds.
- Radio command will now be sent by pressing button 3 alone without requiring an access code.
Resetting to factory settings
This will delete all programmed access codes.
The Telecody+/Courier remains activated.
- Press button M.
- Press button P.
- Enter 9-digit reset code (see sticker).
- Press button M again.
- Press button P again.
- LEDs 1 + 2 light up orange for 2 seconds.
Operation

Input of a valid access code or pressing the ● or ○ button sends a radio command to the programmed receiver, which, for example, opens or closes a garage door.- During transmission of a radio command LED 1 lights for 2 seconds.
- LED 1 lights up (with SOMloq2 radio receivers as confirmation of receipt)
Active time
Delivery status deactivated.
Description
During the active time (lasts for 20 seconds), press any number button:
- The previously transmitted access code is sent again (without entering the access code again).
- The active time is restarted for 10 seconds.
Activate/deactivate
- Press button M.
- Press ● button.
- Press button M.
- Active time is switched on or off
Status query
The user can check whether the active time is activated:
- Enter valid access code.
- LED 1 lights up.
- Radio command is sent.
- LED 2 blinks for 20 seconds:
- Active time is activated.
- LED 2 does not blink:
- Active time is deactivated.
Transmission delay
Delivery status deactivated.
The radio command is sent with a delay of 1 – 9 seconds.
Setting range 0 – 9 (0 = no transmission delay). The transmission delay is
applicable for all radio commands.
Activate/deactivate
- Press button M.
- Press button ○.
- Enter the desired transmission delay on the keypad (1 – 9 s).
- Press button M
- LEDs 1 + 2 light up orange for 2 seconds.
Courier function (Telecody Courier)
The courier function allows a garage door equipped with a SOMloq2 operator to
be opened to a defined height (opening height), for example so that a parcel
can be pushed through.
Only available with the special version of the Telecody+ (Telecody Courier).
On this version, the ●○ button is red
- For security reasons, all access codes must be programmed before activating the courier function. A factory reset is required in order to program further access codes.
- Most parcel delivery services offer the option of providing information for parcel delivery (safe place for deposit, numeric code etc.). This information can be sent to the parcel delivery service as a permanent delivery preference (after registration) or for one specific delivery (after notification of pending delivery).
You can choose between two different versions of the courier function:
With code
With this version, the door opens after a numeric code is entered. This option
offers a high degree of security against unauthorised use.
Without code
With this version, the door is opened simply by pressing the red button
(either ● or ○ . There is no protection against unauthorised use.
Procedure
- Enter courier code or press the red button (either ● or ○).
- Door opens to the set opening height.
- LED 2 blinks until the door closes again (15 sec).
Programming defined opening and closing
First, on the operator (see instructions for the operator), program Defined
opening/closing using the red button (● or ○).

Activating the courier function on the Telecody Courier
1. Press buttons P and M simultaneously and hold them pressed for 5 seconds.
Î LED 2 blinks orange during the process.
Î LEDs 1 + 2 light up orange for 2 seconds.
Programming the courier function with entry of a numeric code (courier code)
Precondition is a programmed access code, see
„Programming access code“.
- Press red button (either ● or ○) and hold it pressed throughout the process.
- Enter access code.
- LEDs 1 + 2 blink green alternately.
- Following correct entry of the access code, LEDs 1 + 2 blink orange alternately.
- Enter the desired courier code*.
- Release the red button.
- LEDs 1 + 2 light up orange for 2 seconds. *The courier code must be between 2 and 8 digits.
Activating courier function by pressing the red button alone
The delivery service employee does not need to enter a courier code.
- Press red button (either ● or ○) and hold it pressed throughout the process.
- Enter access code.
- LEDs 1 + 2 blink green alternately.
- Following correct entry of the access code, LEDs 1 + 2 blink orange alternately.
- Enter sequence of figures 00.
- LEDs 1 + 2 light up orange for 2 seconds.
Deactivating the courier function e.g. in the case of prolonged absence
- Press red button (either ● or ○) and hold it pressed throughout the process.
- Enter access code.
- LEDs 1 + 2 blink green alternately.
- Make no further entry.
- LEDs 1 + 2 blink orange alternately.
- Release the red button.
- LEDs 1 + 2 light up orange for 2 seconds.
- Courier function is deactivated.
- Any defined courier codes are deleted.
Proceed as described above to activate the function again.
Changing the opening height
The duration of the door movement defines the opening height. The longer the
movement, the greater the opening height.
- Press button P.
- Press red button (either ● or ○).
- Enter the desired duration of door movement via the keypad (e.g. 3 = 3 seconds). (Setting range 3 – 9 seconds)
- Press button P
- LEDs 1 + 2 light up orange for 2 seconds.
- Opening height has been adjusted.
Replacing battery
WARNING
- Never leave batteries within reach of children. Call a doctor immediately if a battery is swallowed.
- Do not open or recharge the battery or allow it to come into contact with water, fire or high temperatures.
- Replace battery only with CR 123A (3V).
- Dispose of the battery according to locally applicable regulations.
- Pull off screw cover (3).
- Unscrew screw (4).
- Rotate Telecody+ and unscrew the bottom screws (5).
- Lift bottom section of housing.
- Replace the battery (6).
Proceed in reverse order to reassemble.
