HORNBACH 10470627 Water Leak Sensor
Setup
- Make sure the Water Leak Sensor is within 15 feet (4.5 meters) of your Smart Home Hub or compatible device with SmartThings Hub functionality during setup.
- Use the SmartThings mobile app to select the “Add device” or “+” icon (“Add device”) and then select the “Aeotec” brand > “Water Leak Sensor” category > Water Leak Sensor (IM6001-WLP)”
- Remove the tab on the Water Leak Sensor marked “Remove When Connect-ing” and follow the on-screen instructions in the SmartThings app to complete the setup.
Placement
- The Water Leak Detector detects moisture using two metal leads on the top and two on the bottom of the sensor.
- Place the Water Leak Sensor in areas like bathrooms, basements, or cabinets where the top or bottom metal leads can easily detect a pool of water forming
- The Water Leak Sensor can also monitor the temperature.
Troubleshooting
- To reset the device: Hold the “Connect” button with a paperclip or similar tool for 5 seconds, and release it when the LED starts blinking red.
- Use the SmartThings mobile app to select the “Add device” or “+” icon(”Add device”) card and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
