BEFORE USING THIS KIT:
Your pruning shear is configured to use the WIRELESS safety system by default.
The supplied hard-wired safety system requires special pruning shear settings
to operate.
IT IS THEREFORE ESSENTIAL to contact an approved INFACO dealer to set up this
option.
Using the pruning shear with this safety system will disable the WIRELESS
safety system.
Warnings before use
It is mandatory for users to wear a conductor glove (INFACO brand) on the hand
not holding the pruning shear.
The conductor glove sends data to the electronics to open the pruning shear
blades if it comes into contact with the cutting head.
It is essential to only use the INFO brand conductor gloves:
DSES glove on the hand not holding the pruning shear ref. 355G29 (for right-
handed users) / ref: 355G29G (for left-handed users) Sizes: 7 to 12
- For all the following operations it is imperative to disconnect the pruning shears.
- Do not wear gloves over the INFACO conductor glove

CONNECTIONS
-
Place the battery

on the vest -
Pass the cables inside the straps:
• pass the tab cable 2
• pass the pruning shear socket cable 3
• pull out the entire cable lengths -
Connect the battery socket cable 4 to battery 1.
-
Turn the vest around and pass tab cable 2 through the strap loop.
CARRYING
Once the installation is complete:
- Put on the vest
- Close the front belt
- Adjust the straps for comfort
CORRECT TAB LOCATION:
-
Put on the glove
-
Attach the tab
-
Wrap the elastic around the wrist passing over first, then under

Attach the hook and loop
System operation check
Check that the DSES system is operational each time the device is started and
after a half-day.
To do that:
-
Power on the pruning shear by pressing the ON / OFF button:
Or put the pruning shears on standby:
-
After one second, press the trigger and keep it pressed, and the DSES check mode is activated. The DSES LED flashes, the power LED turns steady red.
-
While keeping the trigger pressed, put the bottom of the hook in direct contact with the conductor glove fingertips.
-
Run over the entire glove surface in this way, while keeping the trigger pushed to see the glove’s correct conductivity using the STATUS LED.
To validate the DSES operation, the status LED must never turn red when checking the different glove zones:
• palm
• five fingers
• inner side
• outside
In addition to the daily checks, it is essential to visually inspect the glove to check its condition.
To get the best conductivity, it is also essential to hand-clean the conductor glove every week in cold, clean water without detergent.
Check the cutting head cleanliness. Dirt can alter both the conductivity and the correct operation of the safety system.
INFO cannot be held liable for failures caused by gloves in poor condition. -
Release the trigger, the test is complete.
System shutdown
The safety system can be temporarily or permanently disabled using the procedure below:
-
Momentary and deliberate stop:
-
Continuous and deliberate stop:
Additional functions
There are two additional (and optional) settings available to increase the DSES system safety:
- Level 1: “momentary” or “permanent” safety system stop functions accessible to users.
- Level 2: “Continuous and deliberate” function not accessible to users (see page 14).
- Level 3: Maximum safety, the user cannot operate the “momentary” and “continuous” stop functions. Moreover, if a safety system malfunction is detected, the pruning shear cannot be used.
These three safety levels can be activated using your Infaco dealer’s reading interface.
DSES fault indication
The DSES LED is steady red and the user has not momentarily or permanently disabled the system: there is a fault.
- Check that the tab is properly fixed to the hook and loop on the conductor glove. Check the DSES wire condition.
- Restart your pruning shear and check the DSES operation using the procedure (“Checking correct operation” section on page 11).
- If the problem persists, take the pruning shear to your dealer so that they can read it.
- Pruning shear reading indication (only by your dealer using the reading interface): Fault D-07.
- If your pruning shear is operational and the DSES LED is steady red and the D-07 fault is displayed when reading the data, this indicates a DSES system failure.
If the DSES LED is steady red and the D-07 fault is present, the pruning
shear will be operational if it is not configured to level 3 safety, BUT the
user will no longer be protected by the system.
Reminder: use of the device is prohibited if there is a safety system
malfunction.
Very important
For the DSES system to operate correctly, it is essential to wear the INFACO CONDUCTOR GLOVE.
If the conductor glove is too worn or damaged, it must be replaced.
It is our duty to remind you of the instructions for use.
On each start-up:
- visually inspect the condition of your glove.
- check that the DSES system is in working order (see manual).
HAND-WASH THE GLOVE AT LEAST ONCE EVERY WEEK IN COLD, CLEAN WATER WITHOUT
DETERGENT.
USERS ARE HEREBY WARNED THAT THE SYSTEM IS A SUPPLEMENT TO ALL MANDATORY AND
CUSTOMARY SAFETY RULES BUT IS NEVER A SUBSTITUTE FOR THEM.
For all handling operations other than pruning operations, power the pruning shear off using the ON / OFF button until the LEDs turn off, and then disconnect the pruning shear at the power supply socket.
-
It is imperative to disconnect the device at the power supply socket* to carry out the following operations:
– when putting on or taking off the battery-holder vest.
– when sharpening and edging the blade.
– when fitting, removing, or lubricating the blade.
– for any other work or services on the device.
– whenever the user is no longer carrying out pruning work. -
When the device is running, always keep your hands at least 8 inches (20 cm) away from the cutting head.
-
Handle the cutting edge of the blade very carefully when removing and adjusting it.
-
Do not work with the tool if you are tired or feeling unwell.
It is strictly prohibited to modify or repair the glove structure (stitching,
adding parts, etc.).
INFACO cannot be held liable for failures caused by alterations to the
gloves.
