FIRST TIME USE

We strongly recommend that you ask for assistance from your retailer, who is authorized to give you all the advice you need to use the tool properly and achieve great results

It is imperative to read the user’s manual carefully before handling the tool.

MOUNTING THE HEAD AND RAKE

Please, ask advice to your retailer for the assembly of the rack. Improper assembly could cause wear.

MOUNTING THE RAKE

INSTALLATION AND POWER CONNECTION

Only use INFACO brand batteries with a supply voltage 48 volts.
It is imperative to read the operating instructions for the tools and accessories before handling or connecting the tool.
If it is raining, the battery vest must be worn underneath waterproof clothing so that the battery unit and control box remain dry.

USING THE MACHINE

1 Start: 2 short pulls of the trigger = ON
Standby output: 2 short pulls of the trigger = ON

2 MODES START

1 short pull of the trigger = ON 1 short pull of the trigger = OFF
1 long pull of the trigger = ON Releasing the trigger = OFF

SETTING OF ROTATION SPEED

10 speed increments available between 800 and 1200 r/min

A/ Start the machine

B/ To enter the set-up mode, do a long pull on the trigger.

C/

The machine starts automatically at the first increment on low speed.

Select the requested speed with successive short pulls on the trigger. 10 speed increments available.
Validate the requested speed and exit the set-up mode with a long pull on the trigger until the machine stops completely. The machine is ready to work, the speed will be locked until the next set-up.

The tool is fitted with an electronic protection system. As soon as the rake becomes
blocked due to meeting strong resistance, the electronic system causes the motor to stop.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The tool is fitted with an electronic protection system. As soon as the tool becomes blocked due to meeting strong resistance, the electronic system causes the motor to stop. Restart the tool by carrying out operation «k» in “Using the Tool” on page 12.

Upon starting the tool, if an unusually large vibration is detected, stop the tool immediately and check the assembly and tightness of the rake.

If this unusual vibration persists, immediately turn off the tool and contact your nearest dealer.

We also recommend keeping the tool’s protective tube, in case it needs to be returned to the factory for after-sales service.

For transportation, storage, maintenance, tool maintenance or any other operation outside of using the tool, you must unplug the tool.

All maintenance operations must be performed with the tool disconnected from all power sources.

Maintenance of the tool depends on the frequency of tool use.

Occasional use, space out intervals. Intensive use, more frequent intervals.

GREASING

Lubricate the olive harvester head at least once per day, in the morning before starting work

Position the aerosol nozzle towards the ball and socket joint. Hold the aerosol can vertically, then spray. Lubricate the harvester head at least once a day (no need to dismantle for lubricating).

SETTING CLEARANCE

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

BEWARE! In order to reduce the risk of electrical discharge, injury and fire during the use of electrical tools, please observe the following basic safety measures. Read and follow these instructions before using the tool, and keep these safety instructions!

When not in operation, the POWERCOUP PW2 handle and its accessories must be disconnected and stored in their case.

PW2 POWERCOUP handle must always be disconnected from all power sources for to the following :

– Servicing.
– Charging the battery
– Maintenance.
– Transport.
– Storage.

While the tool is in operation, always remember to keep hands away from the accessory being used.

Do not use the tool if you are tired or feeling unwell.

Wear recommended safety equipment specific to each accessory. Do not leave the tool within the reach of children or visitors.

Do not use the tool if there is any risk of fire or explosion- for example in the presence of flammable liquids or gas. Never carry the charger by its power cord, and so not pull on the power cord to unplug it.

Keep the power cord away from heat sources, oil or sharp edges.

Never use the tool at night or in poorly lit conditions without setting up extra lighting. While using the tool, make sure you keep both feet on the ground and stay wellbalanced.

BEWARE! ­ the extension poles and rake are made out of carbon ­ a conductive material. Do not use near electrical wires or other power sources.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

The ELECTROLIV POWERCOUP PW2 has a warranty for a period of two years against all manufacturing faults and defects. This warranty corresponds to normal use of the tool and excludes :
– Damage due to poor maintenance or a lack of maintenance,
– Damage due to inappropriate usage,
– Damage due to normal wear and tear,
– Tools which have been dismantled by unauthorized repairers,
– External forces (fire, flooding, lightning, etc.),
– Damage from tool being dropped or from other impact,
– Tools with warranty cards not returned at the time of purchase,
– Tools used with a battery or charger other than those manufactured by INFACO.

INFACO shall not remit payment for any monetary loss incurred for the time the tool is unavailable during repairs.

All repairs made by a person other than an approved INFACO authorized service provider (ASP) will invalidate the equipment warranty.
In case of any breakdown, we strongly recommend that users of INFACO equipment either contact the retailer from whom they purchased the tool, or our after- sales service on (+33) 05 63 33 91 49 (France).

Please note our after-sales service shipping policy:

– For equipment submitted to us within the scope of the warranty, you pay to send it to us and we pay the return postage. – For equipment which is not within its warranty period, you pay to send it to us and the return will be made at your cost, cash on delivery. We will send you an estimate if the cost of the repair is more than 80 ex-VAT.

RECOMMANDATIONS

Keep your work area tidy.
Untidiness in the work area increases the risk of accidents.

Take the work area environment into account.
Don’t expose electrical tools to the rain. Don’t use electrical tools in a humid or wet environment. Make sure the work area is well lit. Don’t use electrical tools if there are flammable liquids or gases in the vicinity.

Protect yourself against electrical discharge.
Avoid bodily contact with grounded surfaces, such as, for example: battery charger, multiway electrical sockets, etc…

Keep children away!
Don’t allow other people to touch either the tool or the power cord. Keep others well away from your work area.

Store your tools in a safe place.
Tools not in use should be stored in a dry, enclosed place, in their original packaging and out of the reach of children.

Wear suitable working gear.
Do not wear flowing clothes or jewelry. These could get caught up by moving parts. When working outdoors, it is recommended that you wear rubber gloves and shoes with non-slip soles. Use a hairnet if you have long hair.

Wear protective goggles.
Use a mask as well if the work you are doing produces dust or debris.

Take care of the power cord.
Never carry the charger by its power cord and so not pull on the power cord to unplug it. Keep the power cord away from heat sources, oil or sharp edges.

Take good care of your tools.
Regularly check the condition of the power cord and plug, and have them changed by an Authorized Service Provider (ASP) if they show any signs of damage. Keep the POWERCOUP PW2 material dry and free of oil and grease.

Remove the tool keys.
Remove any adjustment keys before switching on the tool.

Check whether your tool is damaged.
Before using the tool again, carefully check that the safety features are in perfect working order and whether any parts have been even slightly damaged.

Have your tool repaired by a specialist.
This tool is compliant with the safety regulations in force. All repairs must be carried out by an Authorized Service Provider (ASP) or by INFACO and exclusively using original parts. Parts which are not original may seriously risk the safety to the user.
