SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
• Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec, in order to avoid any type of danger.
• To avoid electric shocks, do not clean with or allow to get inside the product: water, liquid or any flammable substance.
• Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
• The appliance shall be installed, operated and stored in a room with a floor area larger than 4 m2.
• Switch off the device immediately in the event of defects or malfunctions.
• Do not use the device if its cord or any other part is damaged. In this case, contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
• Do not spray insecticide, perfume or other flammable substances around the product. Do not operate the device with products with odours.
• Do not install the device near to heat-generating appliances or flammable and dangerous materials.
• This product does not replace normal ventilation products.
• Make sure the product is kept and stored in well-ventilated areas.
• During operation, leave at least a 20-cm space on the back and sides of the product.
• The device must be placed so that the plug is accessible.
• Operate the dices in a temperature range between 7 ºC and 35 ºC. Operating it out of this range could cause the device not to operate properly.
• Do not sit or stand on the device.
• Make sure the tank is emptied after each use to ensure proper operation.
• Do not operate the device in closed areas such as inside closets. Do not use outdoors.
• Do not insert fingers or other objects in the air inlet or outlet to prevent injuries and product damage.
• Do not twist, bend, strain, or damage the power cord in any way. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources.
• Do not let it touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the surface.
• This appliance cannot be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge. Supervise young children to make sure that they do not play with the appliance.

BEFORE USE

• Take the product out of the box and remove all packaging material.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any visible signs of damage are observed, contact the Technical Support Service immediately.
• Always keep the dehumidifier in an upright position to avoid leakages.

OPERATION

1. Connect the power adapter to the dehumidifier and then plug it into a power socket.
2. Press the on/off button (1) to turn the unit on, the LED power indicator will light up blue.
3. Press the on/off (1) button again to switch the device off, the LED power indicator should turn off.
4. Press and hold the on/off (1) button for 3 seconds to turn the LED indicator off.
5. Press and hold the on/off (1) button for 3 seconds to turn the LED indicator back on.
6. This unit has a de-frosting function. If the unit detects frost on the surface of the cooling plate, it will stop dehumidifying. After de-frosting, the unit will automatically continue to dehumidify.

Draining collected water

1. The water tank in this unit has a maximum capacity of 600 ml, with a 300 ml per day working capacity.
2. The LED indicator will turn red once the water tank is full and the unit will automatically turn off.
3. Disconnect the power cable from the unit.
4. When the water tank is full, avoid tilting it and carefully pull it out, slide the water tank cover and pour the water out.
5. Insert the cover and then insert the water tank back into the unit and press the on/off button to resume operation.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Make sure the unit is powered off and that the power cable is disconnected from the power source.
2. Use a soft cloth to clean away any dust or debris from the surface of the unit or the air inlets.
3. Pull out the water tank and slide out the cover to clean the water tank.

DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
The crossed-out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built- in battery or uses batteries, they should be removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately. Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.The warranty will not cover the following situations:

• The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
• The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorized by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
• Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.
• The warranty service covers every manufacturing defect of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
