BEFORE USE

Before use, please  read this manual carefully.

Only connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.

This appliance is for household use only. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to avoid fires, electric shocks, burns, or other injuries and damage. Read these operating and safety instructions carefully.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

1. Please read these instructions carefully before use.
2. Keep present instructions for future references.
3. Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
4. Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and household or similar applications such as:
   • staff kitchen areas, in shops, offices and other working environments;
   • farm houses;
   • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments
5. Only use the appliance in the way indicated in these instructions.
6. Never use this unit near bathtub, shower, wash-hand basins or other containers with water.
7. Never use this apparatus near water projections.
8. Never use this apparatus with the wet hands.
9. If, unfortunately the apparatus is wet, immediately withdraw the cord of the socket-outlet.
10. Inform potential users of these instructions.
11. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
12. The appliance must be used only for its intended purpose. No responsibility can be taken for any possible damage caused by incorrect use or improper handling.
13. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
14. This device is not a toy , do not leave small children or people with disabilities to play with.
15. In order to ensure your children‘s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
16. Caution ! Do not allow small children to play with the foil : there is a danger of suffocation !
17. From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage.
18. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever.
19. Never place it into the dishwasher.
20. Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
21. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly Competent qualified person(*) in order to avoid a hazard.
22. Disconnect the power source cable before any operation of cleaning of maintenance and accessories assembly.
23. Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
24. Never use accessories, which are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
25. Never use any other connector than the one provided.
26. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way.
27. Never wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it
28. Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with hot parts of this unit.
29. Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.
30. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be very high when the appliance is operating. Never touch these parts, of apparatus, to avoid burning itself.
31. Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with flammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc…& the power cord and plug do not come in contact with water.
32. Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply and let it cool down.
33. This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
34. Always place the unit on a table or flat surface. Ensure, also, not to cover the device and not to put anything on it.
35. Always remove the plug from the wall socket when the appliance is not in use.
36. When using an extension lead always make sure that the entire cable is unwound from the reel. Use solely CE approved extension leads. Input power must be at least 16A, 250V, 3000W.
37. Incorrect operation and improper use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user.
38. This device complies with standards relating to this type of product.

(*) Competent qualified person : after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs.

SPECIAL SAFEGUARDS

1. Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
2. Do not use or keep this product outside when it is raining.
3. Do not store the appliance near hot ovens or heating appliances.
4. Certain parts of the appliance can get hot. Do not touch them, as you may burn yourself.
5. Never modify the appliance in anyway.
6. Use only cold water when filling the device.
7. The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. mark.
8. Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
9. Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.
10. The base and exterior of the kettle must not become wet.
11. Kettle body used must be match with the kettle base.
12. Use only cold water when filling.

USE OF THE MACHINE

Before using the machine for the first time: Rinse the inside kettle.

1. Fill half of the tank of fresh water. (without addendum of any product).
2. Put the switch on “ ON “position The light goes on, showing that water begins heating up.
3. When boiling, the apparatus goes out automatically
4. Raise the kettle with circumspection and empty water in a sink by watching out not to splash (risk of scald).
5. The apparatus is ready to be used.

USING

1. Put the electric charger base on a flat surface.

2. Fill the kettle with fresh water (without any additives.). note : Do not overfill ! Use the water level indicator.

3. Place the cover

4. Place the kettle on the base.

5. Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230V~ 50Hz safety socket.
   ( check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the same as that of the machine. Details are to be found on the label on the base )

6. switch the machine to position “1”. The control lamp on the kettle
   shows that the water is heating.

7. When boiling the machine switches off automatically.

8. Take the Kettle and pour genteelly the water in a sink.

Note : Take care to ovoid any burn.
Do not press up the lid when pouring.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Before cleaning switch off the appliance, Always disconnect the apparatus and to let it cool before cleaning.
2. Clean the outside of the apparatus with a sponge or slightly wet linen.
3. The parts (removable) in contact with food like plate, forks, Spatula etc. can be washed in hot water with sponge and soft detergent or put in the dishwasher.
4. Never plunge the apparatus in water or all other liquid !
5. Do not use abrasive cleaners, gritting, or metal brush or another cutting object.

STORAGE

1. Ensure the unit is completely cool and dry.
2. Only wrap the cord around the base of the appliance, not to cause damage.
3. Keep the appliance in a cool, dry place.

SPECIFICATIONS

The characteristics can change without preliminary preventing.

This unit is equipped with an electrical outlet with earth and must be earthed in an according plug.
Note: In the event of question concerning the earth or electric connection, please consult a qualified personnel. In the event of short- circuit, earthing reduces the risk of electric shock
while making possible the current to be evacuated by the wire of ground.

Always unplug the appliance before any cleaning or maintenance operation and accessories assembly.

CAUTION: If the electric cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his after-sales service or people with similar qualification, in order to avoid any danger. In order to minimize the risks of electric shock, In the event of breakdown, not to open the case but to call upon a qualified technician for repairs.

This apparatus satisfied EC directives, it was controlled according to all the European current directives, like: electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and low tension (LVD). This apparatus was designed and manufactured in respect of the last safety regulations and technical specifications.

CAUTION

The lighting flash with arrowhead symbol, with an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage within the products enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instruction in the literature accompanying the appliance.

This symbol means : “warning: do not use this appliance near bath, tubs, showers containing water”

Protect our environment :
Waste electrical products must not be disposed of with household waste. This equipment should be taken to your local recycling centre for safe treatment. This will contribute to the recycling and other forms reutilisation of electrical and electronic equipment.

The Symbol “Steam” within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important steam jet & to take all necessary cautions against burns.

The symbol “ CE” marking; Is the guarantee of the respect of the harmonized, optional European standards, who respect the essential requirements in technical specifications. These standards are not obligatory but are guarantors of conformity to the essential requirements.

This logo “Recycling” sensitizes the consumer on the need for recycling its waste. Recycling is a process by which the materials which compose a product at the end of the lifetime (industrial or domestic waste) are re-used in whole or part and will be reintroduced in the initial cycle of production.

This logo “the green point” is the partner symbol of valorization programme of domestic packing. While contributing to this program, the companies, are put in agreement with the law which obliges them to take part in the recycling of packing that they put on the market and, are used for the installation of the selective collection of packing of the households. However, packing carrying the Green Point cannot be all recycled. To get information near its Town hall.

DISPOSAL

Do not dispose of the device in normal domestic waste. Dispose of the device over a registered waste disposal firm or through your communal waste disposal facility. Observe the currently valid regulations. In case of doubt, consult your waste disposal facility.
