BATTERY INSTALLATION

  • Remove the battery cover on the back of the oximeter and insert 2 AAA batteries. Make sure that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment. Do not use batteries after their expiration date.
  • If the battery status symbol flashes on the display, the batteries must be replaced. When battery power is critically low, the device will not take a reading.
  • If you will not be using the device for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.

SETTINGS

  • The oximeter offers the possibility to set audible alarms, pulse rate beep and brightness. You can then set the upper and lower limits for the audible alarms.
  • To enter settings, turn on the oximeter by pressing the control button. After the display turns on, hold down the control button again for 2 seconds. The display shows the menu for setting the alarms, the pulse rate beep and the brightness. The menu for setting the alarm limits is accessed by holding down the control button while the  asterisk is next to „Alm setup“.

Setting the sound indicator, heartbeat soundtrack and brightness

Setting the boundaries of the sound indicator

  • To exit settings, navigate to the line „Exit“ and hold down the control button

Setting the measurement alert

  • The reading can be accompanied by an audible alert.
  • To turn on the alert, scroll to the „Alm“ line and hold down the control button until „on“ is set. To turn off the alert, proceed in the same way and set to „off“.

Setting audible alarm limits

  • When taking a reading, the oximeter starts emitting an audible alarm when one of the measured values is smaller or larger than the set limits.
  • To change the limits, enter the alarm limit menu and select the line with the value you want to change. Once you are at your desired value, hold down the control button and the value will change. If „+“ is on the bottom line, the value will rise. If „-“ is there, the value will decrease.

Note: We recommend that you leave the alarm limits at the preset values.

Setting the heart rate beep

  • The pulse rate can be accompanied by a beep when a reading is being taken.
  • To turn on the pulse rate beep, navigate to the „Beep“ line and hold down the control button to change it to „on“. To switch off, proceed in the same way and set to „off“.
