SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
Make sure the product is properly assembled before operating it. Strictly follow the instructions provided in this manual.
Do not place the milk frother near the edge of the countertop or table during operation.
Do not twist, bend, strain, or damage the power cord in any way. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not let it touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the working surface or countertop.
Do not use outdoors, near a gas or electric hob, in heated ovens or near open flames.
This milk frother is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
Do not operate on a sink, drain board or polished-wood surfaces.
Place the appliance on a flat, clean and dry surface.
This milk frother is designed for heating and frothing milk. It is not intended to thicken or heat other foods such as cream, custard, gravies, water etc.
This appliance is designed for household only. Do not use it for commercial or industrial purposes.
Do not operate this appliance without liquid. Always fill at least to the MIN mark and maximum to the MAX mark.
Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.
Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst in use.
The appliance is not intended to be used by children under the age of 8. It can be used by children over the age of 8, as long as they are given continuous supervision.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, as long as
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Supervise young children to make sure that they do not play with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.

EFORE USE

Take the product out of the box and remove all packaging materials.
Clean the jug and the accessories as it is explained in the “Cleaning and maintenance” section.
Unwind the power cord completely.

OPERATION

Place the milk frother on a flat and stable surface.
Select the appropriate whisk and insert it firmly onto the jug’s base shaft.
Close the appliance with the lid. Make sure it is properly fixed.
Press the power button to start frothing.

Frothing and heating milk

Press the power button. The blue and red lights will turn on, indicating that the milk frother is operating.
Once the process is over, the blue light will turn off and the red light will flash for 30 seconds.

Frothing cold milk

Press the power button for 2 seconds to switch to the cold milk function.
The blue light will turn on and will start flashing for 30 seconds once the process has finished.

TIPS

Use the milk frother first to froth/heat your milk. While it is operating, prepare your coffee or hot chocolate.
Use whole milk for better results.
Heated milk reaches a maximum temperature of 65 ºC approx. This is the ideal temperature for the coffee to be properly tasted. Moreover, you do not have to wait toolong to take your coffee.
Make sure you store the whisks in a safe place, they are very small and could be lost very easily.
Allow the appliance to rest, for at least 2 minutes, between different uses. To shorten this time, rinse the jug with cold water to cool down the thermostat and use again.
This milk frother is designed to heat and froth plain milk only.

RECIPES

Frothed milk
Cappuccino

1/3 espresso
Add 2/3 frothed milk
Top with cocoa powder

Latte macchiato

Pour frothed milk into a tall glass
Add espresso carefully along the glass rim

instant frothy coffee

Prepare an instant coffee
Add frothed milk

Hot milk
Latte

1/3 espresso shot
Add 2/3 heated milk and stir

Hot chocolate

Pour heated milk into a large mug
Add chocolate powder and stir to mix

Instant milky coffee

Place instant coffee in a cup/mug
Add hot milk and stir to mix

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Turn off and unplug the milk frother.
Remove the jug from the heating base.
Separate the silicone ring and the lid from the jug.
Clean the jug with warm water a soap. This should be done immediately after each use.
Rinse the lid and silicone ring in warm water. Clean with soap if necessary.
Wash the whisks with warm water a soap and dry them thoroughly.
Store the product and the whisks in a safe place.

WARNING: never use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or cloths/pads to clean or dry the milk frother.
WARNING: the milk frother is not dishwasher safe.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Issue	Cause	Solution
The indicator light or jug does not work.	The plug is not inserted properly.

Insert plug again.
The jug is not connected to the power base properly.| Remove jug and replacecorrectly.

The motor does not work.| The jug has not been cleaned properly after each use.| Clean and move the motor’s shaft with your hand to
loosen and unblock it.
The motor is damaged.| Repair or replace.
The appliance does not heat up.| The machine is damaged.| Repair or replace.
Charring| There is too little or too much milk.| Make sure that the milk is over the min mark and not pass max mark.
The jug has been reused without cleaning/rinsing.| Always clean the appliance after each use.
The actual voltage is much lower than the one specified on the product’s label.| Make sure the mains voltage matches the one on the
label.

The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built- in battery or uses batteries, they should be removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately.
Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.
The warranty will not cover the following situations:

The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.

The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
