Introduction
We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.
Intended use
This product is only suitable for private use in dry indoor locations e.g. in
store room or garages. The product and rechargeable batteries withstand
extreme physical conditions of vibration (1.0 m2/s3 200–2000 Hz). This product
is not intended for commercial use or for use in other applications.

Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use! When passing this product on to others, please also include all the documents!

WARNING :
DANGER TO LIFE AND RISK OF ACCIDENTS FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN!
Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. Always keep children away from the packaging material. -
This product may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or those lacking experience and / or knowledge provided they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and they understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.

This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. Children are not aware of the dangers associated with handling electrical products.

Do not use the product if you detect any type of damage.

Protect the product from moisture and humidity. Never immerse the product in water or other liquids!

Ensure that the electrical socket is easily accessible so that you can pull the mains adapter quickly out of the socket if necessary.

Do not carry out any modifications or repairs to the product yourself. The LED cannot and must not be replaced.

Dispose of the product when the product or the USB cable 8 is damaged.

Ensure the USB cable 8 cannot become damaged by sharp edges or hot objects. Unwind the USB cable 8 completely before use.

Protect the product against heat and cold.

Do not attach the hook 1 to hot objects. The weight of the product can then morph the shape of the hook 1 .

The USB cable 8 provided is only suitable for use with the product.

The strip light 2 is very bright, therefore do not look directly into the product.

The illuminant is not replaceable.

If the illuminant fails at the end of its life, the entire product must be replaced.
Safety instructions for batteries / rechargeable batteries
- DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries / rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
- DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries / rechargeable batteries and / or open them.Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.
- Never throw batteries / rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
- Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries / rechargeable batteries.
Risk of leakage of batteries / rechargeable batteries
- Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries / rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators / direct sunlight.
- If batteries / rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!
- WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries / rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
- This product has a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be replaced by the user. The removal or replacement of the rechargeable battery may only be carried out by the manufacturer or his customer service or by a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards. When disposing of the product, it should be noted that this product contains a rechargeable battery.
Before use
Charging the product
NOTE:
- Remove all packaging materials from the product.
- You can recharge the product using a normal household socket.
- To use the product without an adapter, you must first charge the integral rechargeable battery. It takes 5–7 hours to charge the integral batteries. The rechargeable battery is permanently installed in the handle of the product.
- Charge the product for approximately 12 hours before first use.
- Charge the product at least once a month, if it is to remain unused for an extended period of time.
- Only connect the product to a properly installed USB socket by SELV adaptor with max. 5 V (Uout) 500 mA.
- If the product has not been charged for an extended period of time (approx. 2 months), you could find that the integral rechargeable battery has entered a dormant state. Charge and discharge the product a number of times in succession to reactivate the integral rechargeable battery.
- Insert the USB connector of the USB cable 8 into the USB input socket of the product.
- Then insert the USB plug of the USB cable 8 into the USB port on USB power supply.
- The product has an overcharging protection system. Nevertheless, you should disconnect the product from the mains once the charging process is complete.
- The charging indicator 5 illuminates red during the charging process.When the charging process is complete, the charging indicator 5 illuminates green.
Use
CAUTION – RISK OF ACCIDENT!

If at all possible, do not use the product in a moving vehicle. If the product is used in a vehicle, it
must not be allowed to endanger the safety of the driver or passengers. Always store and secure the product in such a way that there is no risk of injury from or damage to the product, even during full braking.
Note : You can secure the product by using the hook 1 or the magnetic base 4 on a flat, ferromagnetic surface.Use the joint 7 to tilt the product up to approx. 180° on the magnetic base 4.The strip light 2 can be rotated to a desired angle. -
Please note the position of your hands whilst turning the magnetic holder to prevent pinching your fingers (see FigC).
Using the product disconnected from a power supply
- Fully charge the product, as described in the section on “Charging the product”.
- The product can be operated in 3 different modes, select these by repeatedly pressing the ON / OFF switch 3.
Press
- Press once: The strip light 2 lights up at full power.
- Press twice: The strip light 2 lights up at low power.
- Press three times: Switches off the product.
Troubleshooting

Charging indicator 5 does not illuminate| When connected to a cigarette lighter socket:
- Is the cigarette lighter socket supplied with power? Some cigarette lighter sockets only supply power with the ignition switched on.
- The connection to the socket with the power supply is not treated.
Charging takes a very long time| When connected to a cigarette lighter socket:
- Vehicle battery too weak?
- Check if the fuse of the car adapter needs to be replaced.
- The connection to the socket with the power supply is not treated.
Maintenance and cleaning
The product requires no maintenance. The LED is not replaceable.
- Switch the product off and disconnect it from the mains supply before cleaning.
- Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
- Never use caustic cleaners.
- Regularly clean the product with a dry, lint-free cloth. Use a slightly moist cloth to remove any stubborn dirt.
Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.
- Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and fibreboard / 80–98: composite materials.
- The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.
- Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn out product.
- To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Faulty or used batteries / rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries / rechargeable batteries and / or the product to the available collection points.
Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries / rechargeable batteries!
Batteries / rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries / rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.
Warranty
- The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
- The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase.
- Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.
- The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:
- Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN 123456_7890) available as proof of purchase.
- You will find the item number on the rating plate, an engraving on the front page of the instructions for use (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.
- If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department listed either by telephone or by e-mail.
- You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.
