VICTROLA VAS-40B Bluetooth Speaker

PLEASE READ THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL CAREFULLY. BEFORE USE AND KEEP IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust or extreme temperature.
  2. Do not tamper with the internal components of the unit.
  3. Clean with a dry cloth. Solvent or detergent should never be used.
  4. Avoid leaving unit in direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dusty places.
  5. Keep unit away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise such as fluorescent lamns or motors.

CLEANING THE UNIT

  • To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect unit from the AC power source when cleaning.
  • The finish on the unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture. Use caution when cleaning and wiping the plastic parts.
  • If the cabinet becomes dusty, wipe it with a soft dry dust cloth. Do not use any wax or polish sprays on the cabinet.
  • If the front panel becomes dirty or smudged with fingerprints, it may be cleaned with a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild soap and water solution. Never use abrasive cloths or polishes, as these will damage the finish of the unit.

CAUTION: Never allow any water or other liquids to get inside the unit while cleaning.

BLUETOOTH OPERATION

  1. Turn the power switch to the ON position, the device will power on in Bluetooth mode.

NOTE: This is the default mode when an AUX cable or USB input is not in use.

  1. The speaker will now be in Bluetooth pairing mode. The Bluetooth LED will illuminate & flash blue.
  2. Turn on the Bluetooth feature of your Bluetooth-enabled device. Locate “VICTROLA ROADIE” on your device. NOTE: Lower volume on speake to avoid sudden audio.
  3. Select “VICTROLA ROADIE” from the device list when it appears on your device screen.
  4. If required, enter passcode “0000” to pair (link) the speaker with your device.
  5. After successfully pairing your device with the speaker, you will hear an audible pairing sound indicating it is paired.
  6. Adjust the Volume, Bass, and Treble level by rotating the related knob on the speaker.
  7. Press the Volume Knob / Next Function to play the next song in Bluetooth mode.
  8. Press the Bass Knob/ Play/Pause Function to pause or resume playback in Bluetooth mode.
  9. Press the Treble Knob / Previous Function to play the previous song in Bluetooth mode.

NOTE

  1. Refer to the manual of your cell phone or another Bluetooth-enabled device for Bluetooth operation, since it may vary in different models.
  2. If your Bluetooth-enabled device does not support A2DP, it will not play the music through the speaker, even after it’s paired (linked).
  3. The speaker will reconnect with the previously connected phone when it’s powered ON again.
  4. If you want to connect the speaker to another cell phone after pairing successfully, disconnect with your current device to set the speaker to pairing mode again.

USB OPERATION

  • Turn the power switch to the ON position, then insert a USB flash drive (not included).
  • The speaker will automatically change to USB mode.
  • The operations of the knobs and functions are the same as in Bluetooth mode.

NOTE: The device supports up to 64GB flash drive (and part of 128GB flash drive, with mixed files). Large, non-music files may affect the device’s performance when reading the USB flash drive.

AUX-IN OPERATION

You can play other music sources (Pod, MP3, or other digital audio players) through the speaker by connecting the AUX-IN JACK to your external player’s audio out jack or headphone jack.

  1. Plug one end of an audio cable (not included) into the Aux-In JACK. Speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. The LED indicator will illuminate RED.
  2. Plug the other end of the cable to the headphone jack of your digital audio player.
  3. Play the external device plugged into the Aux-In JACK.
  4. Adjust both volume controls on the speaker and the external device to a desirable audio level.
  5. Adjust the Volume, Bass, and Treble level by rotating the related knob.

NOTE

  1. Selecting music through Previous / Next Function or Play/ Pause Function on the speaker, the speaker may still be in Aux-In mode.
  2. You may need to adjust both the volume controls of your external device and the speaker to obtain the desired audio level.

CHARGING OPERATION

  • The speaker operates on a built-in Li-ion battery that can be recharged using the included power adaptor with a rated output of DC 5V/1 A and up.

WARNING: The built-in rechargeable battery is not replaceable. Do not remove or replace it, do not throw in the trash or in a fire. Do not dispose device in standard garbage disposal sites. Dispose of device at available Battery Recycling Sites after fully discharging battery. Not doing so may violate local disposal laws and regulations. Please refer to local regulations for proper battery disposal.

To return an item, supply full name, return address, phone number, item purchased, receipt of purchase and reason for return to obtain RMA number. All returns must be in the original packaging or reasonable substitute to prevent damage. Customer “Must” include full name, shipping address and telephone number inside of package. No return will be shipped back to a PO Box or APO address.
