Quick Start Guide

Simple DIY Setup

  1. Identify where you want to mount your plug.

  2. Mark the location for the hole to be drilled.

  3. Using a 3/16″ bit, drill a hole in the wall mounting screw.

  4. Install screw-in desired location leaving 3/16″ of the screw exposed.

  5. Align the mounting hole with screw head, slide the bracket over the screw head, and let the plug drop-down to lock into place.

How to Set Up and Enable Voice and Out of Home Control for your Plug and Devices

  1. Plug your smart outdoor plug into the outlet.

  2. Download the C by GE app.

  3. Add the Outdoor Smart Plug to the C by GE app.

  4. To enable voice control with  Amazon Alexa or Google Home, enable C by GE within your voice assistant app and find your devices.
    Voila! Now you can control your outdoor lights and devices with your voice and away from home.

Connect with your Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa device to control your outdoor lights and devices with your voice.
Try these voice commands:
Amazon Alexa
Alexa, turn off front yard.
Alexa, good morning.
Alexa, turn on the patio lights.

Google Home
Okay Google, turn on the fountain.
Okay Google, turn off the Christmas lights.
Okay Google, turn on the party scene.
