Installation
- Before installing the product, plan the design and layout of the configuration of the system
- Make sure that the power is OFF
- Establish locations for mounting clips
- Install mounting clips – see step 1
- Install the proper end plugs, connectors and cables based on your layout – see steps 2 and 3.
Important safety instructions
This portable luminaire has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a feature to reduce the risk of electric shock. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension cord unless plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter the plug.
Caution
- Use only insulated staples or plastic ties to secure cords.
- Route and secure cords so that they will not be pinched or damaged when the cabinet is pushed to the wall.
- Position the portable cabinet light with respect to the cabinet so the lamp replacement markings are able to be read during relamping.
- Not intended for recessed installation in ceilings, or soffits.
- The National Electrical Code (NEC) does not permit cords to be concealed where damage to insulation may go unnoticed. To prevent fire danger, do not run cord behind walls, ceilings, soffits or cabinets where it may be inaccessible for examination. Examine cords periodically and immediately replaced when any damage is noted.
Install mounting clips

A. Vertical clip
Locate clip and installed using Mounting Screw. -
B. 45° Mouting clip
The 45° mounting clip cannot be used with the direct connector to the junction box. A connecting cable must be used in this application. Locate clip and install using Mounting screw(s). The clip can be mounted at 45 degrees on a flat surface as well using 1 screw.
Power connections

A. IMPORTANT!
To insure proper connection and current flow, all connector ends are “keyed” to fit only one way into each Thread linear fixture. DO NOT FORCE THE CONNECTORS IF RESISTANCE IS FELT. Check the position of the key again. The 45° mounting clip cannot be used with the direct connector to the junction box. A connecting cable must be used in this application. -
B. Portable power cord option
The power cord assembly plugs directly into Thread fixtures. -
C. Junction box option
Connect to the junction box using a Thread direct connector or cable.
Cable and connector installation

A. IMPORTANT!

B. Direct connector
The direct connector can be used at either end of Thread fixtures. -
C. Cable installation – all lengths Cable connectors can be used at either end of Thread fixtures.

D. Stopper installation Stoppers fit either end of Thread fixtures and must be installed on all open ends to prevent shock.

Warranty
The Thread LED Under Cabinet and Cove Linear LED System is warranted by Satco Products, Inc. when delivered in new condition and in its original package against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 5 years from the original date of purchase. Defective products should be returned to Satco. Contact Satco to obtain return authorization. Once returned, and product is proven defective upon inspection by SATCO, product will be repaired or exchanged as determined by Satco.
