Before the First Use

Before using the device for the first time, read the operating instructions and the safety instructions carefully.
Keep the operating instructions together with the device for later use. If other people use this device, please make these instructions available to them. If you pass the device on to third parties, these instructions belong to the device and must be supplied with it.
Intended Use
This device is designed for photo and video lighting only. It may not be used for other purposes, and especially not for domestic room lighting.

The following symbols are used in this manual, on the LED light, the power supply unit or on the packaging.

Power supply

Use with power supply unit: Plug the supplied mains cable into the mains cable connector [8] and screw the screw cap shut. Slide the on/off switch [11] to the ” “ symbol to switch on the LED light.
Use with rechargeable batteries: Place the batteries (optional, not included) in the battery compartment and slide the on/off switch [11] to the symbol ” “ to switch on the LED light.
Note: Rechargeable Batteries and charger are optionally avai-lable from Rollei. Two NP-F750/970 Li-Ion batteries are required for operation.

Download the Lumen App directly from the App or Google Play Store.
Connection with the smartphone

Activate Bluetooth®* on your smartphone
Switch on the Rollei Lumen Panel
Open the Lumen App, the connection to your phone will be established automatically.

The connection is established using ”Bluetooth Low Energy“ (BLE). For this, a location release of the app is required. The connection to the LED light is established directly in the app.

CCT – Colour Temperature Mode

Adjust colour temperature and brightness:

After switching on, press the CCT button [4].
Turn the adjustment knob [7] to the left or right to increase or decrease the Kelvin value.
The colour temperature can be set between 2,700 K and 9,999 K in steps of hundreds.
Press the CCT knob [4] again to increase the green component of the selected colour temperature.
The menu item ”GN“ is highlighted in the display and the green component can be adjusted to the lighting situation by turning the adjustment knob [7].
Press the adjusting knob [7] to adjust the brightness. The menu item ”BRT“ is highlighted in the display and the brightness can be adjusted between 0 and 100% with the adjustment knob [7](steps: 20%, 21%, 22%, 23%, 24%, 25%, …).

Store colour temperatures and brightness:

You have the option to save up to 8 different colour profiles.
Select your desired colour temperature and brightness.
Press the menu knob [9] and select the ”Preset Temp“ menu by turning the setting knob [7]. Press the adjustment knob [7] again to select the function.
Now turn the adjusting knob [7] to select the different memory locations.
To save the set colour temperature and brightness, press the setting knob [7] once.
To recall the saved settings, press the menu knob [9], select the ”Preset Temp“ menu and then turn the setting knob [7] to select the memory location.

Motif Programmes

Instead of setting the colour temperature of the LED lights manual-ly, you can also use various motif programmes. These are preset lighting situations. Press the menu knob [9] and select the menu „Light Source“ by turning the adjusting knob [7]. Turn the setting knob [7] again to select the function. Now select a motif programme by turning the setting knob [7].

HUE – RGB Mode

Colour, saturation, intensity

After switching on, press then HUE/Saturation button [3].
Turn the adjustment knob [7] to the left or right to switch between the RGB colours.
Press the adjustment knob [7] to adjust the intensity of the colour. The menu item ”Int“ is highlighted in the display.
Turn the adjustment knob [7] clockwise to increase the intensity (0 – 100 %) and counterclockwise to decrease the intensity.
Press the HUE/Saturation knob [3] again. The menu item ”Sat“ is highlighted in the display. Turn the adjustment knob [7] clockwise to increase the saturation (0 / 20 – 100 %) and coun-terclockwise to reduce the saturation.

Save Settings

Save colour, saturation and intensity:

Select your desired colour, saturation and intensity.
Press the menu knob [9] and select the menu ”Preset Colors“ by turning the setting knob [7]. Press the adjustment knob [7] to select the ”Preset Colors“ menu.
Turn the adjusting knob [7] to select the different memory locations.
To save the set colour, saturation and intensity, press the control knob [7] once.
To recall the saved presets, press the menu knob [9], select the ”Preset Colors“ menu and select the setting location by turning the setting knob [7]. To exit the ”Preset Colors“ menu, press the menu knob [9].

Colour Effects and Styles

You can recall various preset styles and colour effects with the Lumen Panel 600 RGB / 900 RGB.

Press the menu knob [9] and select the ”Cycle Effects“ menu by turning the adjustment knob [7]. Press the adjustment knob [7] again to select the function.
Now select a colour effect or effect cycle by turning the adjust-ment knob [7].

To increase or decrease the speed of the effect, press the adjust-ment knob [7] until ”Speed“ is highlighted. Turn the adjustment knob [7] to set the speed – 1 is the fastest speed and 32 is the slowest.

Safety Instructions

Danger due to electric current! Faulty electrical installations or excessive mains voltage can cause electric shock.

Only connect the product if the mains voltage of the socket corresponds to the information on the rating plate.
Connect the product to an easily accessible socket so that you can disconnect it from the mains quickly in case of problems.
Only use the mains adapter and cable supplied..
Do not use the product if it is visibly damaged or if the cable is defective.
If the product or accessories are damaged, they must be repla-ced or repaired by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
The housing must not be opened and repairs must only be carried out by a specialist. Contact a specialist workshop for this purpose. In the event of repairs by the user, improper connec-tion or incorrect operation, any liability and all warranty claims are excluded.
Do not use the product with an external timer.
If you do not use the product for a longer period of time, always disconnect it from the power source.
Protect the product from moisture. Do not touch it with wet/damp hands and do not immerse it in water.
This product is not waterproof! Do not use this product in the rain or in wet environments. Never touch the product during a thunderstorm.
Before disconnecting the power or battery, switch off the pro-duct at the main switch.
Ensure adequate ventilation during operation. Never cover the unit.
Only use the unit with suitable, high-quality NP-F750/970 lithi-um-ion batteries.
Do not use or store the unit in high temperatures or in closed rooms with direct sunlight. The product should not be used at ambient temperatures of more than 40° C.
Immediately remove the battery and, if necessary, the charging cable from the case in the event of unusual noises or smells or smoke.

Caution!

Never use the power supply or cable as a carrying handle. Keep the product and accessories away from open flames, hot surfaces and easily flammable materials.
Lay the power supply unit and cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard.
Do not bend the mains cable or lay it over sharp edges.

Danger for children and persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities (e.g. partially disabled persons, older persons with limited physical and mental abilities) or lack of experience and know-how (e.g. older children).

This product can be used by persons with reduced physical, sen-sory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and know-how if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the poten-tial hazards arising from its use. Children must not play with the product. The product must not be cleaned or cared for by children. Keep children under the age of eight away from the product and accessories.
Do not insert objects into the product.
Do not leave the product unattended during operation and charging.
The appliance is not a toy. Keep the product, accessories and packaging materials away from children and animals to prevent accidents and suffocation.
Do not film car, bus, bicycle, motorbike drivers or train drivers while driving with this product. The driver may be blinded and cause an accident. This also applies to persons or groups not listed if an accident could be caused by possible glare.
Do not shine directly into the eyes of people or animals as this can cause retinal damage, impaired vision and even blindness.

Note: Only for lighting for photographic purposes. Not suitable for permanent room lighting.

Disposal

Disposing of packaging: Dispose of the packaging accor-ding to type. Put cardboard and carton in the waste paper collection, plastic film in the recyclables collection.
Disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment and/or batteries/accumulators by consumers in private hou-seholds within the European Union. This symbol on the product or on the packaging indicates that it must not be disposed of with household waste. You must hand over your old appliance and/or batteries/accumulators to appropriate collection points for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances and/or batteries/accumulators. For more information on recycling this appliance and/or batteries/accumulators, please contact your local council, the shop where you purchased the appliance or your waste disposal company. Recycling materials helps conserve natural re-sources and ensures a method of recycling that is safe for human health and the environment.
