Dear customer, thank you for purchasing our product. Please read the operating instructions carefully before putting the clipper into operation and keep these instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
  • The clipper is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose.
  • This clipper is not fit for commercial use.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Before replacing accessories or accessible parts, which move during operation, before assembly and disassembly, before cleaning or maintenance, turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains by pulling the charger from the power socket!
  • Do not leave the iron plugged in power supply without supervision!
  • If the power cord of the charger is corrupted, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer, its service technician or a similarly qualified person so as to prevent dangerous situations.
  • Never use the appliance if its charging adapter is damaged, if it does not work properly, if it fell down and was damaged and it is leaking. In this case take the appliance to a special service to check its safety and proper function.
  • Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the clipper with wet hands. If the clipper is humid or wet, unplug it immediately. Do not put it in water.
  • When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the clipper and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the clipper is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
  • Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead).
  • To protect children from the dangers posed by electrical clippers, make sure that the cable is hanging low and that children do not have access to the clipper.
  • Check the clipper and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the clipper if it is damaged.
  • Do not try to repair the clipper on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
  • Pay careful attention to the following “Special Safety Instructions for this unit“.
SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS UNIT
  • Do not reach for a Clipper that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.

  • Do not use while bathing or in a shower.

  • Do not place or store Clipper where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.

  • Always unplug this Clipper from the electrical outlet immediately after using,except when Clipper is (re) charging.

  • WARNING! To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:
    – Never operate this Clipper if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped damaged, or dropped into water. Return the Clipper to an Authorized Norelco Service Location for examination and repair.
    – Keep the Clipper, cord and any attachments away from heated surfaces.

  • Never drop or insert any object into any opening

  • Do not use this Clipper with a damaged or broken cutter. cutting unit, or shaving foil as injury may occur.

  • Always attach plug to Clipper first, then to outlet. To disconnect, turn ON/OFF switch to „OFF“ position (switch is down), then remove plug from outlet.

  • This Clipper is for use on human hair only. Do not use this Clipper for any other purpose.

  • Always store your Clipper, attachments and power plug in a moisture-free area. Make sure the cord is disconnected from the Clipper.

TO CHARGE/RECHARGE
  • Fully charge Clipper before using for the first time or after non- use for a long period of time.
  • Battery performance is best if you recharge only when the battery is (almost)completely empty.
  • Charging or recharging at temperatures below 4°C or higher than 35°C adversely affects lifespan of the battery.
  • Continuously recharging Clipper will reduce lifespan of battery.
  1. Be certain Clipper is OFF.
  2. You may charge the Clipper:
    – In the charging stand by inserting the clipper plug into the socket located in the bottom of the charging stand (fig.1). Place the Clipper directly on the charging pin in the stand.
    – By inserting the clipper plug directly into the Clipper.
  3. Plug charging plug into any 240V AC outlet. Use only the cord provided
  4. After a few moments. the green Charging Indicator Light on the power plug will light to indicate the Clipper is charging.
  5. It will take approximately 10 hours to fully charge the Clipper for a cordless timming time of up to 30 minutes.
  6. Before using your Personal Clipper for the first time, charge the unit for 10-14 hour for optimal performance:
  7. Disconnect the cord and unplug from electrical outlet

Optimize the working life of the battery

  • After the Clipper has been charged for the first time, do not recharge the Clipper between trimming sessions. Continue using it until the battery is completely empty.
  • Do not charge for more than 24 hours.
  • Do not keep cord permanently plugged in.
  • Discharge/ run down the battery completely twice a year by letting the motor run until it stops.
  • If the Clipper hasn‘t been used for a long period of time, it must be recharged for a full 10 hours.

HOW TO USE
  1. Select attachment that best fits your personal grooming needs.
  2. Place attachment atop Clipper Body. Secure by carefully inserting and turning attachment in a clockwise direction (NOTE: attachment is secure when the arrow aligns with circle).
  3. To remove attachment, follow Step 2 in reverse order.
  4. Slide ON/Off Switch upward to power the Personal Clipper.
  5. The Adjustable Comb Attachments(6mm) is to be used with Precision Trimmer,while the Adjustable Comb Attachments (12mm,20mm)are to be used with Full Size Trimmer Heads. To add, align the Comb side rails with slots of trimmer head. Secure Comb by sliding downward, away from blade head. (NOTE: a clicking sound means Comb attachment is secure and ready for use).
HAIR CLIPPING
  • Before you start clipping, make sure that the head of the person whose hair you are cutting is at the same level as your chest so that all parts of his/ her head are clearly visible and within easy reach.
  • Only use the clipper on dry hair.
  • Do not use on freshly washed hair.
  • Before you begin, comb the hair in the direction of growth.
  • To achieve optimal clipping results, always move the clipper slowly through the hair against the direction of hair growth.

Clipping with hair comb attachment

  1. Put the hair clipper comb on the full width trimmer attachment and push until you hearit ‚click‘ into place.
  2. Press the Hair Length Selector and slide it to the desired setting.
  3. The setting selected will appear in the window. When you are clipping for the first time start at the maximum clipping length setting to familiarize yourself with the clipper and prevent accidentally trimming hairs too short. As you become familiar with the settings, adjust the Hair Length Selector to desired trimming length. Selector will ‚click‘ into position at each setting.
  4. Make sure that the flat part of the comb is always in full contact with the scalp to obtain an even result.
  5. Move the clipper slowly over the crown from different directions to achieve an even result.
  6. Always move the clipper against the direction of hair growth.
  7. Make overlapping passes over the head to ensure that all hair that should be cut has been cut.
  8. Turn the Clipper off and remove the hair comb often to blow and/or shake out hair that has accumulated.

Contouring without the hair clipping comb attachment

  1. Remove the hair comb by pressing and sliding the comb attachment upwards. Be careful when you are clipping without comb attachment as when the clipper is turned on it will trim every hair it touches.
  2. Tilt the clipper in such a way that only one edge of the trimming attachment touches the hair ends when you shape the contours around the ears.
  3. To contour the nape of the neck or hairline, turn the clipper and hold it with the trimming attachment pointing downwards.
  4. To contour the sideburns, turn the clipper and hold it with the trimming attachment pointing downwards.
TRIMMING
  • Make sure hair is clean and dry.
  • Always comb the hair with the styling comb in the direction of growth before you start trimming.
  • Do not move the Clipper too fast. Make smooth and gentle movements.
DEFINING BEARD, MOUSTACHE AND SIDEBURN
  1. Be certain the Clipper is in the OFF position.
  2. Put the sprecision trimmer attachment on the Clipper. You will hear a click.
  3. Hold the Clipper upright when you use the precision trimmer attachment.
TRIMMING NOSE HAIR
  1. Make sure nasal passages are clean.
  2. Place nose, ear and eyebrow attachment on Clipper.
  3. Switch the Clipper on and insert the tip of the attachment into one nostril.
    CAUTION : Do Not insert the tip more than 5mm into your nostril.
  4. Slowly move the tip in and out while turning it around at the same time in order to remove unwanted hair. For best results, make sure the side of the tip is firm against skin. This will reduce the tickling effect that can occur during trimming of nose hair.
  5. Turn off Clipper. Wipe attachment clean after each use.
TRIMMING EAR HAIR
  1. Clean outer area of ear and ear canal. Make sure it is free of wax.
  2. Nose, ear and eyebrow attachment should be on the Clipper.
  3. Switch the Clipper on and move the tip softly around the edge of ear to remove hairs extending beyond the outer ear.
  4. Carefully insert the tip into outer ear canal. CAUTION : Do not insert the tip further than 5 mm into the ear as this could cause damage to the eardrum.
  5. Turn off Clipper. Wipe attachment clean after each use.
TRIMMING EYEBROW
  1. Nose, ear and eyebrow attachment should be on Clipper
  2. Switch the Clipper on and use the tip to cut individual eyebrow hairs.
  3. The Clipper can be used for clipping single long hairs.
  4. Put the Clipper at the root of the hair and move it along the edge of the eyebrow from the base of the nose towards the outer tip of the eyebrow in the direction of hair growth.
    IMPORTANT : Do not use the Clipper to define or trim the entire eyebrow. Do not try to trim your eyelashes. Be careful not to get too close to your eyelashes and eyes!
  5. Turn off Clipper. Wipe attachment clean after each use.
SHAVING WITH MICRO SHAVER ATTACHMENT
  1. Put the micro shaver attachment on the clipper.
  2. Use the narrow micro shaver to shave along contoured edges to remove any stubble while creating a smooth well defined beard line. Before using the micro shaver, always check it for wear and damage. If the micro shaver shows signs of wear or damage, do not use it as injury may occur. Do not use the micro shaver until it has been replaced. Gently press the micro shaver onto the skin. Do not press too hard.
CLEANING, CARE & MAINTENANCE

NOTE: Always clean Grooming System attachments regularly to ensure maximum performance and a proper operating life.

Cleaning attachments with water

  1. Remove attachment.
  2. Rinse ONLY the attachment under warm running water. DO NOT use hot water ad this might cause damage.

Cleaning attachments with brush
After first removing attachment, thoroughly brush and blow out hair clippings from cutting system, attachment, and top of power handle.

Cleaning foil shaver
(DO NOT rinse nor oil foil shaver attachment as this is permanently lubricated.)

  1. Remove attachment by pressing security latches on front of micro shaver.
  2. Remove head, shake to remove excess clippings.
  3. Replace attachment by gently snapping into place.

Oiling blades & cautions

  • Rinsing attachments under water (above) requires lubricating the cutting blades 1× monthly.
    Using only light-grade oils (e.g. sewing machine oil), simply spread 1-2 drops lightly over cutters with fingertip. Wipe away all excess.

  • Use only light-grade oils as these will not evaporate nor slow down speed of cutting blades.

  • Do not use hair oil, grease, or any oil mixed with kerosene nor solvent as these too will evaporate.

Storage

  • Be sure Clipper is turned OFF. Remove cord from outlet and Clipper before storing in a safe, dry location where it will not be crushed, banged, or subject to damage.
  • Store the Clipper and attachments in the storage stand to prevent damage.
  • Do not wrap cord around Clipper or stand when storing.
  • Store cord in a safe location where it will not be cut or damaged.
  • Do not place or store Clipper where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink, water or other liquid while plugged in.

Accumulator removal
When the operational life of the product is over it is necessary to remove the accumulator and deliver it to the collection spot, where the accumulator will be safely disposed off.
