Baby Trend Skyline 35 Stroller Travel System
WARNING
- WARNING: Please follow all of these instructions to ensure the safety of your child. Keep these instructions for future reference.
- WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or death. Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out, always use the safety harness and insure that the children are properly positioned according to these instructions.
- WARNING: Never leave children unattended.
- WARNING: Care must be taken when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.
- CAUTION: This single stroller is designed for one child only. Use with more than one child may cause the unbalance condition which can injure/ harm your child.
- Purses, shopping bags, parcels, diaper bags or accessory items may change the balance of the stroller and cause a hazardous, unstable condition.
- The maximum weight that can be carried in the storage basket is 5 pounds (2.27kg).
- Excessive weight may cause a hazardous unstable condition to exist.
- Be certain the stroller is completely opened and locked in place before allowing a child near the stroller.
- Use of the stroller with a total weight more than 50lbs (22.67 kg) will cause excessive wear and stress on the stroller and may cause a hazardous unstable condition to exist.
- NEVER use the stroller on stairways or escalators.
- NEVER use the stroller with roller skates, in-line skates, skateboards or bicycles.
- NEVER allow your stroller to be used as a toy.
- To clean use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.
- Check your stroller for loose screws, worn parts, torn material or stitching on a regular basis. Replace or repair parts as needed.
- Discontinue use of stroller should it malfunction or become damaged. Please contact our customer service department to arrange for repair or obtain replacement parts.
Check that you have all the parts for this model before assembling the stroller.

- Please refer to the manual located under the car seat for base type and instructions.
ASSEMBLY
- IMPORTANT! To ensure safe operation of your stroller, please follow these instructions carefully. Please keep these instructions for future reference.
- IMPORTANT! Before assembly and each use, inspect this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts or sharp edges. NEVER use if any parts are missing or broken.
- IMPORTANT! Adult assembly is required.
Remove stroller from box. The front and rear wheels MUST be installed prior to use.
FRONT WHEEL
To attach the front wheel, unfold stroller as described in the following section:

- Unlock the release lever (Fig. 1a).
- Unfold stroller frame by pulling backward on the stroller handle (Fig. 1b).
- To attach the front wheel, lean the stroll-er back so that it rests on the handle with the front and rear legs pointing upward. Position the front wheel over the front leg tube so that the hole in the housing lines up and will slide onto the leg (Fig. 1c). Firmly push down until the wheel lock securely into place.
NOTE: Tug on the wheel to ensure it is securely attached. REAR WHEELS
Attach the rear axle assembly and wheels as follows:

- Position axle assembly over the rear leg tubes, brake pedals facing back. At the same time, push down apply-ing equal pressure to both sides until they lock into place (Fig. 2). NOTE: NEVER use stroller if wheels do not lock into place.
CHILD TRAY

To attach the child tray, push the angled side of the tray onto the post at the end of the right armrest while pressing downward on the snap button, until locking in place (Fig. 3a). Rotate the tray downward until it latches onto the left armrest into place (Fig. 3b).
CAUTION: The maximum weight that can be carried in the child tray is 3 lbs (1.36 kg).
Note: Check that the snap button comes through and securely in place (Fig. 3c).

Removable child’s tray insert is top-rack dishwasher safe. Put one finger under the finger tab and pull out to release the first hook (1). Repeat on the opposite end for the second hook (2). After releasing both sides, pull up and rotate the Tray Insert out from the round edge (3) (Fig. 3d). To attach set into place and press down (Fig. 3e). -
To access the child seat: Press tray release button and rotate upward on the tray (Fig. 3f).

To remove the child tray: Press the tray release button (Fig. 3b) and rotate the tray 180° and pull it out (Fig. 3g).
PARENT TRAY
WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds in the parent tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions could result.

.To attach the parent tray, line up the parent tray slots with corresponding slots on the stroller frame and slide down until locking into place (Fig. 4). NOTE: Check to make sure the parent tray is secure before using.
- MULTI-POSITION HANDLE

. To adjust the handle, press the buttons to move the handle up or down to a comfortable position for the user (Fig. 5).
- CANOPY

- To install the canopy, slide the male ends of the canopy into the female slots on the stroller frame (Fig. 6a).
- To open the canopy, push forward on the front edge of the canopy while holding the rear of canopy in place (Fig. 6b).
- To fold the canopy, pull backwards on the front edge (Fig. 6b).
BASKET

- Rear basket tube needs to be installed prior to use. Insert the female end of the rear basket tube into the male ends located on the basket frame until it locks into place (Fig. 7).
BRAKES
WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed so that the stroller will not roll away. NEVER leave stroller unattended on a hill or incline as the stroller may slide down the hill.

- To engage brakes, apply light downward pressure to the brake lever located on each rear wheel. The stroller may require slight forward or rearward movement in order to line up the teeth on the brake with each wheel brake cluster (Fig. 8). Check that the stroller will not move and that both brakes are properly applied. To release, gently lift up on the brake lever.
TO SECURE THE CHILD
WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.
STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose straps. Never leave child in seat when straps are loose or undone.

Check that the stroller will not move and that both brakes are properly applied. To release, gently lift up on the brake lever.

- The shoulder straps of the 5-point harness have 3 attachment positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child’s shoulder. To adjust harness height unhook the shoulder strap from the crotch buckle (Fig. 9a). Feed the shoulder strap through the harness spread slots. You can access these slots from the rear of the seat underneath the fabric (Fig. 9b). Feed shoulder strap through appropriate slot and reattach shoulder strap to crotch buckle.
- Carefully place the child in the stroller seat and bring the safety harness around the child’s waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child’s legs. Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the buckle on the crotch strap. Tighten the harness to be snug around the child’s waist and over the child’s shoulders (Fig. 9c).

- Push button on center clasp, the two harness buckles will pop free (Fig. 10).
SEAT BACK POSITION
WARNING: The upright position should be used only for a child that is at least 6 months old.

- The seat has a multiple position recline that is controlled by a cord and adjuster behind the seat. To recline the seat, pull back on the loop of the adjuster (Fig.11a). To place the seat back in a more upright position, grab the adjuster with one hand and pull the cord to the desired position with the other hand (Fig. 11b). The cord will lock automatically.
INFANT CAR SEAT ATTACHMENT WITH CHILD TRAY INSERT
WARNING: Failure to follow these car seat attachment instructions could result in serious injury or death.
- The seat has a multiple position recline that is controlled by a cord and adjuster behind the seat. To recline the seat, pull back on the loop of the adjuster (Fig.11a). To place the seat back in a more upright position, grab the adjuster with one hand and pull the cord to the desired position with the other hand (Fig. 11b). The cord will lock automatically.

- Put the stroller seat in the full reclined position (Fig. 11a). Check that the front child tray is firmly attached to the stroller armrests. Install the Tray Insert. If needed (Refer to Step 3).
- Position the infant car seat so that it faces toward the rear of the stroller. Place the car seat so that it is cradled on the inside of the front tray. Ensure the car seat stoppers are resting on the tray (Fig. 12a). When the infant car seat is seated firmly into place, strap both short clips over the infant car seat through the seat belt slots on the infant car seat and pull the strap adjuster tight (Fig. 12b).
- Store the support strap located on the back side of the stroller seat frame in the side storage pocket (Fig 12c). NOTE: It is very important that the short clips are always tightly fastened around the infant car seat. Always secure your child with the car seat harness when using the car seat in the stroller. If your child is already in the car seat, check that the child is secured with the harness. Improper use of the stroller with the car seat may result in serious injury or death.
- To remove the Infant Car Seat, remove both short clips from the seat belt slots of the infant car seat (Fig. 12b). Pull the Infant car seat upwards (Fig. 12d). NOTE: When not using the car seat, always store all straps and short clip / short clips into the storage pocket attached to the side of the seat (Fig. 12e).
INFANT CAR SEAT ATTACHMENT WITH CHILD TRAY ONLY

- Put the stroller seat in the most upright position (Fig. 11b). Check that the front child tray is firmly attached to the stroller armrests. Ensure to remove the Tray Insert (Refer to Step 3).
- Buckle the support strap located on the back side of the stroller seat frame. Tighten until the stroller seat is fully upright (Fig. 13a).
- Position the infant car seat so that it faces toward the rear of the stroller. Push the car seat into the front tray until it latches into place (Fig. 13b). Strap both short clips over the infant car seat through the seat belt slots on the infant car seat and pull the strap adjuster tight (Fig. 13c).
- To remove the Infant Car Seat, unbuckle the secure strap (Fig. 13a) and remove the short clips (Fig.13c). Squeeze the release handle located at the Top-rear of the seat and carefully lift upward on the seat (Fig. 13d).
- To remove other Baby Trend® Infant Car Seats, squeeze the release handle located at the foot-end of the seat and carefully lift upward on the seat (Fig 13e).
NOTE: When not using the car seat, always store all straps and short clip / short clips into the storage pocket attached to the side of the seat (Fig 13f).
TO FOLD STROLLER
WARNING: Care must be taken when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.
CAUTION: Do not allow children near stroller while folding. Do not allow children near stroller while unfolding.

Close the canopy as described in the canopy section.

Place the seat in the furthest recline position.

Pull stroller backward several inches to rotate the front wheels to the front (Fig. 14a).
Using the handle tilt the entire stroller back while the rear wheel remains on the ground and front wheel points upward (Fig. 14b). Hold it in this position to use the trigger. -
To fold the stroller slide the thumb trigger to the left and squeezing the pull trigger while pushing forward on the handle (Fig. 14c).

Once the stroller begins to fold, release the handle and push forward on the handle until the stroller is folded. Lock the release lever to secure the stroller (Fig. 15).

SEAT PAD
To clean the seat pad, use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.
OTHER
Check your stroller for loose screws, worn parts, torn material or stitching on a regular basis. Replace or repair parts as needed.

invalidates all claims against the manufacturer. Any damage to property during
installation is the sole responsibility of the end user.
