i-box 79315PI Aura Portable Speaker Lantern
Introduction
The i-box Aura combines an attractive multi-colour mood light with a 10W Bluetooth speaker. The built-in rechargeable battery and carrying (or hanging) strap makes it fully portable and perfect for summer evenings in the garden or anywhere around the home. There are six main colours and many shades in between with four lighting modes to match your music and mood.
Caring for your Aura Moodlight
Important Safety Information
Important
Please read these instructions fully before installing or operating your mood
light.
- Keep away from flame sources such as lighted candles.
- Do not expose to dripping or splashing fluids.
- The unit should not be exposed to direct sunlight. very high or low temperature, moisture, vibrations, strong magnetic fields, high frequencies and dusty environments.
- Do not place the unit in enclosed bookcases or racks without proper ventilation. Ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
- Never attempt to insert wires, pins or other such objects into the vents or openings of the unit.
- Do not disassemble or modify the moodlight, there are no user-serviceable parts.
- If the moodlight is damaged in any way or malfunctions do not use it. Consult a qualified service engineer.
- Do not use abrasives or solvents to clean the surface of the unit. To clean, wipe with a clean soft cloth and a mild detergent solution.
- This product contains a built-in Li-ion battery. It must be used and charged properly. Improper use can cause the battery to catch fire or explode resulting in serious or fatal injury. Keep the unit cool while charging, and remove it from charge after recommended charge period.
- This product uses batteries and both product and batteries should be disposed of appropriately. Do not dispose of them with household waste at the end of their life cycle; take them to a collection center for the recycling of electrical, and electronic appliances and batteries. Please check with your Local Authority for recycling advice.

Powering On and Charging
Long press the Power On/Off button( ) (3) to turn the Aura On/Off. To charge the built-in battery, connect the USB charging cable to the USB-C port on the back of the Aura (10) and a powered USB socket. The red charging LED (9) is lit while the Aura is charging and goes out when charging is complete. Disconnect the cable when charging is complete. Do not leave on charge for long periods as this can damage the battery and can be dangerous. A full charge should take around 3 hours.
Low Charge Warning
The Aura’s speaker will emit a regular 4-click audio tone once every 5 minutes
to warn you when the battery charge level is low and to remind you to charge
your Aura.
If you continue to use the Aura after you first hear the tone the Aura will
eventually power off and you will need to put it on charge for at least 15
minutes before turning it on again.
Power Override Switch
If in the rare event that your Aura “hangs” or “freezes”. There is a handy
Power Override Switch (marked RESET on the base of the unit) to switch off the
Aura. Insert a thin object such as a needle or paper clip into the Power
Override Switch (8) and press until you here a click and your Aura will switch
off. Long press the power On/Off button( ) (3) to switch your Aura back on
again.
Bluetooth Pairing and Playback
The Aura enters Bluetooth pairing mode automatically when powered on and the Bluetooth Status LED (4) will flash rapidly. To connect the Aura to a new Bluetooth device, follow the steps below, the Aura will appear as “i-box Aura” in the Bluetooth menu. Once connected you will hear a dual tone and the Bluetooth Status LED (4) flashes every 3 seconds. After pairing the Aura will reconnect automatically with the last device connected when it is switched on. Press the BT key (9) on the remote to exit or re-enter Bluetooth mode, Use forget in the Bluetooth menu on your device if you want to disconnect completely and connect to a new device.
Bluetooth Playback
Adjust the volume using a combination of the Aura volume controls Vol -/Vol+
(5/1) and the controls on the device you are streaming from. Use the keys
(3/2/4) on the remote control to pause, play and change tracks or use the
controls on the device you are streaming from.
Note:
To disconnect and forget the currently connected device, double-press the
Power On/Off key ( ) (3) or long-press the Bluetooth key (9) on the remote
control. The Aura will return to pairing mode.
Moodlight Operation
When the Aura is first turned on, the RGB moodlight will shine solid red. To cycle through the other colours available, short press the COLOUR key (BJ on the remote repeatedly.
Once you have selected a colour, short-press the Brightness key (6) repeatedly to adjust the brightness.
Short press the Light Mode key (7) or short press the Power On/Off key ( ) (3) to cycle through the lighting modes available. Select from Solid Colours, Audio Reactive, Colour Spectrum, Breathing Rythm, and Off options.
Solid Colour Options:
Audio Reactive:
The light will pulse in response to the music playing and cycle through the available colours randomly.
Colour Spectrum Cycle:
Select this option to slowly cycle through the spectrum of colours available continuously.
Breathing Rythm Light:
Synchronize your breathing with the brightening and dimming of the light to help you relax and get to sleep.
Note:
The colour of the breathing light can be changed, using the remote’s COLOUR
key (8).
Note: The Breathing Rhythm Light will automatically switch off after 5 minutes.
AUX In Mode
Connect almost any audio source to the AUX In port (7), with a 3.5mm audio
cable for audio playback through the Aura’s speaker. AUX In mode, will
automatically override Bluetooth mode.
Adjust the volume using a combination of the Aura remote and the AUX device’s volume control. Use the AUX device’s controls for all other control options.
