i-box Harmony Airtime Portable Radio
Introduction
The i-box Harmony is a stylish and easy-to-use portable DAB/DAB+ and FM stereo radio. The DAB+ radio function offers you crisp and clear audio quality at the touch of a button and automatically searches for all available radio stations, displaying them on the large LCD display – so you know exactly which one you’re listening to. If your favorite stations are not yet available in digital format the FM tuner vastly extends the choice available. If you prefer to play your own selection of music the Harmony also offers playback via Bluetooth and AUX IN. While the builtin 2,500mAh rechargeable lithium battery and handy leather strap, make it easy to listen to your favorite tracks and stations from anywhere around the home.

Caring for your Radio
Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on or near the Harmony. Keep away from dripping or splashing liquids. The unit should not be exposed to direct sunlight, very high or low temperatures, moisture, strong magnetic fields high frequencies, and dusty environments. Always leave sufficient space around the unit for ventilation. Do not use abrasives, solvents, or polish to clean this product. Use only a clean, damp, soft, cloth. Never attempt to insert wires, pins, or other such objects into the vents or opening of the unit. Do not disassemble or modify the unit, there are no user-serviceable parts. If the radio is damaged or malfunctions do not use it. Consult a qualified service engineer.
This product contains a built-in Li-ion battery. Improper use can cause the battery to catch fire or explode. Always charge in a cool place out of direct sunlight, allowing good air circulation around the product. Once the battery is fully charged, remove it from charge. This product contains a Li-ion battery and should be disposed of appropriately. Do not dispose of it with household waste at the end of its life cycle; hand it over to a collection center for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances with batteries. Please check with your Local Authority for recycling advice.

Charging your Digital Radio
To charge the i-box Harmony radio, plug the power adaptor (supplied) into a wall socket and the jack plug into the DC In port on the back of the Harmony (16). A small battery indicator will show the charge of the battery.
Standby Mode and Mode Select
To power on short press the Standby key (11), to enter Standby mode short press the Standby key (11) again, and press the Volume/Standby (14) control. Short press the Mode key (13) to cycle through the available playback modes.
Note: The radio will automatically set the time and date when a signal is found. To manually set the time and date.
Navigating Menus
Short press the Menu key (10) to enter the menus. To navigate the menus, use
the …i or keys (8 or 9). Press the Enter/ Volume control (12) to enter a menu
submenu, and short press the Menu key (10) to exit the submenu.
Language
The default operating language is English, to change the operating language.
Enter the System menu using the Menu key (10) and choose from
DAB Radio Mode
Press the Mode key to enter DAB mode.
Full scan
To find and save all available DAB radio stations to the station list.
Manual Tune
If you know the frequency of a station you can search for it using this
option.
Station List
Use the H<IIII or keys (8 or 9) to browse all the available DAB stations. The
selected station will automatically connect and play.
Volume Adjustment
Use the Enter/Volume control (12) to adjust the volume on radio.
Storing a Station to Preset
Save your favorite stations to one of the 30 available preset slots.
Recalling a Station from the Preset List
Quickly access your favorite stations saved to a preset slot.
DAB Radio Menu Settings
While in DAB mode, you can access features in the menus such as: Full Scan. Manual Tune, DRC (Dynamic Range Control), Prune and System.

DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
Dynamic Range Control can make quieter sounds easier to hear when your radio
is used in a noisy environment. This function is only available for some DAB
stations.
Prune
This function removes any stations that are listed but not available.
DAB Radio Menu Settings
Choose from Time/ Language/ Backlight / Factory Reset/ SW version/ Sleep/ Alarms.
Sleep Mode Timer
The Sleep timer function lets you set a time period after which your radio
will switch off automatically. This is ideal if you want your radio to switch
off automatically after you have fallen asleep. The radio must be in playback
mode.
Choose from 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 minutes and Off.
When the Sleep timer is active, the display will show a small icon in the top left corner of the display.
To deactivate the Sleep timer, enter the Sleep menu and use keys (8 or 9) to select ‘Sleep Off’.
Alarms
You can set two independent alarms in any of the available playback modes.
- Alarm Select: Select from one of two independent alarms.
- Alarm Time: Select the time the alarm will sound.
- Alarm Duration: Select the duration of the alarm.
- Alarm Source: Select from Buzzer, FM or DAB as the alarm source. If FM or DAB is the alarm source, you can select either the last played station or a saved preset.
- Alarm Frequency: Select from Once, Daily, Weekends or Weekdays.
- Alarm Volume: Select from the volume when the alarm sounds.
- Alarm On/Off: Select if the alarm is On or Off.
Alarm Snooze/Stop
Time
Set the Time and Date settings for the radio. Choose from <Set Time/Date>
Set Time/Date: Manually set the Time and Date settings.
Auto Update: Choose the source to auto-update from. Choose from FM, DAB, and Any or No Update.
Set 12/24 Hour clock: Choose between a 12-hour or 24-hour clock display.
Set Date Format: Choose between DD-MM-YYYY or MM-DD-YYYY.
Backlight
Adjust the settings for the display. Choose between Timeout, On Level, Dim
Level.
Timeout:
Select how long until the radio display enters dim level. Choose from 10,
20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180 seconds and On.
On Level: Select the brightness of the display when on.
Dim Level: Select the brightness of the display when dimmed.
Factory Reset
Restores the radio to its original factory settings. This will delete any
presets saved.
Software Version
Check the current version of the software on the radio.
FM Radio Mode
Short Press the Mode key (13) to enter FM mode.
Auto Scanning (Automatic Search)
Long press the Scan key (3) to find and assign the available stations to the
preset slots automatically.
Automatic Tuning
Long press the or keys (8 or 9) to tune to the next available frequency.
Manual Tuning
Short press the or keys (8 or 9) to tune manually to the desired
frequency.
Scan Setting
By default the FM scan stores all available stations even if the signal is
weak and the audio quality poor. To store just the stations with a strong
signal, follow the steps below.
Audio Setting
By default, all stereo stations are reproduced in stereo. For weak signals.
this may result in poor quality audio. The audio quality can be improved by
using the mono-only settings.
Preset FM Mode
To save and recall a preset station while in FM Radio mode, follow the steps
found in the DAB preset section on page 6.
FM System Menu Settings
(FM system settings): Same as the DAB mode system settings.
Bluetooth Connection Mode
The Harmony radio has a Wireless mode, press the Mode key (13) to enter Wireless (bt) mode.
lf no device is connected, the radio will automatically enter pairing mode, and the screen will flash to show the radio is ready to pair.
Pairing with Bluetooth Enabled Devices
To connect a compatible Bluetooth device, follow the steps below.
You don’t need to re-pair. Your radio will automatically reconnect with this device when it is in range and both are turned on.
Bluetooth Playback
The radio or device can also be used to go to the previous or next track by using the or keys (8 or9). You can also play/pause the audio using the radio by pressing the key(?).
Long press the Play/Pause (7) to disconnect from the currently connected Bluetooth device.
AUX In mode
The Harmony has an AUX IN mode, press the Mode key (13) to enter AUX IN mode. Connect the AUX IN cable to the AUX port (19) on the Harmony and to the AUX out port on a compatible device.
The volume can be controlled using the radio. Use the connected device to make all other adjustments.
Headphone Mode
The Harmony radio also has support for headphone listening, allowing you to play your music without disturbing others. To use headphones, connect a pair of compatible 3.5mm jack headphones to the headphone port (17) to the back of the radio.
USB Power Output
You can also charge a phone or other device via the USB charging port (cable
not included).
Equalizer Settings
The radio has 5 equalizer presets, tailored to complement different styles of
music. Repeatedly short press the EQ key (5) to cycle through the equalizer
options. Choose from Flat, Rock, Pop, Jazz, and Classic.

Troubleshooting
Problem/Solutions

Radio reception is poor
Check that the antenna is extended for maximum signal strength and improved reception. Adjust the antenna direction to improve the signal. Move the radio closer to a window. Check that the radio is not close to microwaves, fluorescent lights or other equipment which may cause interference. -
No sound
Check if the volume is turned down. Increase the volume. Check that the radio is switched on. Try tuning to another radio station. -
The radio does not turn on
The battery is flat and the radio is not securely connected to the power adaptor/charger supplied. Connect the radio to the power adaptor and ensure adaptor is plugged into a live mains power socket. -
No Bluetooth connection
The Bluetooth® function may be deactivated on the compatible device. Activate this, if necessary. Check whether the device to be connected is switched on and is in search mode.
