1 | Phone mount base | 1 | Metal washer | 2 | #10-32 Screw |
1 | Accessory Mount | 1 | 1/4-20 Carriage bolt | 1 | Shrink tubing |
Installation Instructions:
-
Park on a level surface, allow the motorcycle to cool.
-
Determine which side of the motorcycle you wish to install the Passenger Phone Mount.
-
The base is directional and needs to point away from the motorcycle when the Passenger Phone Mount is installed, Fig.4. Attach the mount base to the top of the accessory mount using the two supplied #10-32 screws, Fig.2. The two tabs of the accessory mount point down, Fig.3.
-
Cut the shrink tubing to cover the joining surfaces of the accessory mount and mount base, Fig.2. Slide the shrink tubing over the joint and apply heat to conform.
-
Assemble the mount arm on top of the mount base. Insert the carriage bolt through the arm, put a plastic washer between the arm and base, followed by the other plastic washer, then the metal washer and locknut. Order shown in Fig.1.
-
Tighten locknut so the arm has some friction when pivoting. Assembly should be tight enough to not move when in use but still allow for passenger adjustments if necessary.
Note: Periodically check tightness of hardware to maintain adequate friction. -
Open the Tour-Pak®, remove the liner. On the side that you’ve chosen to install the Passenger Phone Mount, loosen the three speaker screws, Fig.5. Loosen the top screw a bit more than the lower two, do not remove the screws.
-
Pull the top of the speaker away from the Tour-Pak, creating a gap between them wide enough for the accessory mount to fit between them and exposing the top speaker screw, Fig.6.
-
Slide the accessory mount between the Tour-Pak® and speaker, straddling the top speaker screw between the two tabs of the accessory mount. The Passenger Phone Mount should be resting on top of the speaker, Fig.7.
-
Tighten the three speaker screws. While tightening the screws, put pressure on the back of the Passenger Phone Mount so that it seats properly when fully tightened.
-
Reinstall the Tour-Pak® liner.
-
Install phone holder following its provided instructions.
