QUICK START

SET UP

You can take full advantage of PR LINK wherever you place the speaker in your room. Ideally, the unit should have a wall behind it (10-15 cm) to reflect the bass and get a better rendering. The audio system is designed to give you high-quality stereophonic listening and immersive sound, whether you’re sitting or standing close to the unit. As a result, the listener doesn’t need to be in a central position to enjoy optimal stereophonic sound, and multiple listeners can enjoy stereophonic sound diffusion simultaneously. Furthermore, it is not necessary to place the PR LINK symmetrically on the walls of the room.

TURNING THE PO WAS ON/OFF

  1. Insert the power cord into the power cable plug located at the back of the PR LINK.

  2. Connect the power cord to the wall socket.

  4. The PR LINK will automatically go into standby mode if you leave your device without a signal for 20 minutes. The standby LED will be red. To wake up the device, press the control button or play music from the last source used.

  5. To turn the PR LINK into temporary «off» mode, press the control button until the LED turns off.
Press the button again to restart it. The USB charging ports will not continue to operate while the PR LINK is in «off» mode.

BLUETOOTH® CONNECTION
Your PR LINK is equipped with Bluetooth® AptX: This technology enables you to send your music from your tablet or smartphone, cable-free, to your speaker. The PR LINK’s Bluetooth® receiver lets you listen to high-definition music wirelessly.
To use this connection, simply:

  1. Turn on your PR LINK.
  2. Bluetooth is the default source and turns on automatically. The LED indicator on the PR LINK starts flashing white.
  3. Activate the Bluetooth® functionality on your device (tablet or smartphone).
  4. Press once the pairing button called BT PAIR in the hatch, a search sound is output and the LED indicator flashes quickly.
  5. On your device, select PR LINK from the list.
  6. Once the LED lights up continuously and you hear a continuous tone, you’re connected.
  7. You can now enjoy your wireless listening and control your playlists from your source (tablet and smartphone) within a radius of around 20 meters of your PR LINK.

NOTE
You only need to pair your tablet or smartphone once with your PR LINK, and the device is then included in the list of your Bluetooth® devices. When pairing a new device, press the button again and repeat the above steps. Your PR LINK can store up to 6 devices in its memory.

JACK AUXILIAR 3.5MM CONNECTION

Use the 3.5 mm jack auxiliary input to connect your PR LINK to audio sources such as your CD player.

  1. Connect the audio cable to your PR LINK located on the source panel and to the audio output of your music device (source).
  2. Use the source control knob to select the AUXILIAR input.

RCA CONNECTION
Use the RCA input using the cable supplied (the double-ended cable with RCA plug and 3.5mm jack audio device) to connect your PR LINK to audio sources such as your cell phone, tablet, computer or tablet.

  1. Connect the supplied RCA audio cable to your PR LINK located at the source panel and to your source’s audio output.
  2. Use the source control knob to select the RCA input.

OPTICAL CONNECTION

Use the optical input to connect your PR LINK to your TV, hard disk drive, streaming player, satellite or cable receiver. The optical input only works with PCM stereo. If a connected device sends 5.1 sound (or similar surround sound), the PR LINK will not work.

  1. Connect the optical audio cable to your PR LINK located at the source panel and to the optical audio input of your source.
  2. Use the source control knob to select the OPTICAL input.

ARC CONNECTION
Use the ARC input to connect your PR LINK to your TV. The ARC input is useful for controlling the volume of your PR LINK from the TV remote control.

  1. Connect the ARC audio cable to your PR LINK located at the source panel and to the HDMI ARC audio input on your TV.
  2. Use the source control knob to select the ARC input.

Note: To benefit from HDMI ARC technology, the devices to be connected must be compatible.
Your TV must have an HDMI ARC output. HDMI connection allows you to connect your PR LINK indistinctly to your game console, DVD player and so on. With ARC functionality, your PR INK will automatically receive sound.

USB-A ET USB-C CHARGER

  • PR LINK features an integrated USB A port and USB C charging port. The charging ports will power all your USB peripherals. Switching the PR LINK off in «off» mode, or using the main switch and standby mode, will cut power to the socket.
  • The USB A and USB C charger is compatible with most USB devices at 5V power supply and can provide up to 2A for USB A and USB C charging current.
  • Note: Never use the charger with damaged cables, as these could overheat and cause a fire.
  • Charging current for USB-A and USB-C devices is limited to 10W. This is sufficient to charge most smartphones and tablets. The charger is not compatible with the older iPod Classic (pre-2010) and other types of device that are not fully compatible with standard USB cables.

AUTO STANBY

  • Auto-standby occurs after 20 minutes with no audio signal (except via the STREAMER source).
  • Automatic wake-up is only possible via the last source used when the speaker has switched to automatic standby.

  • IOS: Go to Wifi settings on your iPhone or iPad and select ‘’Escape M1 XXX’’ under ‘’Configure a new AirPlay speaker’’.

WHAT TO DO?
TO CLEAN YOUR PR LINK

Before cleaning the device, unplug your PR LINK from the power socket. Clean the device only with a dry cloth. Do not use cleaning alcohol or solvents to clean the device’s surface because these could damage the painting and cause electrical failures or fire if they penetrate the device’s electronics.

NO POWER
Make sure that the IEC cable is solidly connected. Make sure that the plug is fully inserted in the power socket and there is power. Check that the master ON / OFF located underneath the loudspeaker is positioned on “ON”. Make sure that the PR LINK is not in standby mode. Make sure that the device is switched on by checking the Bluetooth® white LED on the top panel.

NO SOUND
Make sure that the volume is turned up to an audible level and that the input source is at its maximum. Make sure that an available input source is selected. Make sure that the PR LINK is not in standby mode. Check if the bluetooth connection with your device is still active. Finally, if you still cannot hear any sound coming out of the PR LINK, increase the volume.

THE SOUND IS DISTORTED OR BUZZES
Check the connections of your music readers. Make sure that all the connecting cables are correctly plugged in, especially the earth/protection shield connections. Make sure that your cables are in good condition.

BACKGROUND NOISE AND UNDESIRABLE INTERFERENCES
Separate the device from other electrical appliances that may be causing the interference. If the above solutions do not remedy your problem, please contact a professional. Your home electrical installation may be connected to the earth’s ground or it may be polluted by electrical parasite devices that imply audible noise. For any repairs during or after the warranty, please contact your dealer.

THERMAL PROTECTION OF THE PO WAS AN AMPLIFIER
In the case of high-level extended uses, a rising temperature can alter the performance of the amplifier. Above 110 degrees, the highest level allowed for safe optimal listening conditions must be lowered until the amplifier cools down.

BLUETOOTH® ISSUES
When connecting a new device make sure the PR LINK input source is switched to Bluetooth®. If the PR LINK does not show up on your device make sure to manually refresh the Bluetooth® device list on your phone/device after rapidly pressing the PR LINK Bluetooth button. There will be a short audio signal once your device makes the connection. If you can’t hear any sound make sure the PR LINK is not on standby and turn up the volume.
Your device may lose connection to the PR LINK when leaving the Bluetooth range or if in standby mode. In this case, a Bluetooth connection can easily be made again from your phone’s Bluetooth settings page ( without the need to press the Bluetooth button on the PR LINK).
Note that depending on your installation and your mobile device the Bluetooth range will be limited to 5-10 meters or less if walls or furniture obstruct the signal.
