Water / Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used
near water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.
Heat
The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators,
stoves or other appliances that produce heat.
Ventilation
Do not block areas of ventilation opening. Failure to do so could result in
fire. Always install according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Object and Liquid Entry
Objects must not fall into and liquids must not be spilled into the inside of
the apparatus for safety.
Power Supply
In case of external power supply, the apparatus should be connected to the
power supply only of the type as marked on the apparatus or described in the
manual. Failure to do so could result in damage to the product and possibly
the user.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods
of time.
Electrical Connection
Improper electrical wiring may invalidate the product warranty.
Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzene or
alcohol.
Servicing
Do not implement any servicing other than those means described in the manual.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel only. Only use
accessories/attachments or parts recommended by the manufacturer.
Warning
Please remember the high sound pressure do not only temporarily damage your
sense of hearing, but can also cause permanent damage. Be careful to select a
suitable volume.
Interference from cell phone
Using a cell phone near the wireless system can induce noise. If this occurs,
move the cell phone further away from the components of the wireless system.

OVERVIEW
WF-U199 INEAR monitoring system is for all those professionals who need
maximum mobility on stage without losing a reliable stereo monitoring system
and high quality audio.
Rugged, reliable, easy to transport and install, the WF-U199 INEAR features
independent Stereo/Mono modulation functions, PLL technology and 99 channels.
The pocket receiver is equipped with illuminated LCD and is absolutely easy to
set up. It is supplied
with earphones that provide an optimal reproduction of the entire audio
spectrum.
In the package you can also found various ear-fitting pads for an individual
fit.
The half-rack receiver unit is provided with a 19” standard rack mount kit.
All connections are balanced and assure maximum audio standards.
Lastly, an optional kit – the WF-U199 RX – is available to add additional
receivers (and earphones) in case there were more musicians or users who need

- DC Input: DC input adapter jack: 12-18V – 500mA
- LEFT Input: It’s the Line-level left input socket. It accepts both XLR and 6.3mm Jack (balanced and unbalanced).
- RIGHT Input: It’s the Line-level right input socket. It accepts both XLR and 6.3mm Jack (balanced and unbalanced).
- PAD switch: Use to adjust output gain. To cut gain, set to (-12dB). To leave gain unaffected leave set the switch to (0dB).
- Antenna: BNC antenna connector.
BODY-PACK RECEIVER FEATURES:
- Earphone Jack: 3.5mm Stereo mini jack for earphones
- Audio Output Control: Adjusts audio output volume
- Antenna: Receives audio signal. Do not damage
- Low Battery Indicator : This LED flashes red when battery is low
- RF Signal LED: Lights up green when RF signal is received
- LCD Screen: Displays information (For Group, Channel, Frequencies, and RF battery etc.)
- ON/OFF Button: Single short press to switch the receiver On. Press and hold to switch the receiver Off
- UP Button: Increases current parameter value during editing
- SET Button: Press to choose parameters to change (Group, Channel, Stereo/ Mono). Press to confirm the selected value
- DOWN Button: Decreases current parameter value during editing
- Battery Compartment: Insert batteries here. The body-pack takes 2x 1.5V AA- Type batteries
8.1. Wearing the Body-pack Receiver Belt Clip : For best results,
clip the receiver onto a belt by pushing the receiver down onto the belt as
far as possible. For guitarists, Slide the guitar strap “through” the receiver
clip.
8.2. Changing Batteries
Expected life for two Alkaline batteries is approximately 5-7 hours. When the
LCD battery indicator is flashing, the batteries should be replaced. Following
the instructions for their replacement:
- Apply a slight pressure at the top of the battery compartment door (11) and pull down.
- Insert or replace the batteries in the compartment, observing the +/- polarity marked on the bottom.
- Close the cover to prevent batteries to be lost during use.
SYSTEM SETUP
9.1. Transmitter Programming
Press the “Power” button (1 on section “7.1. Front Panel:”
at page 8) to turn ON the system, press and hold for 3 seconds to turn it OFF
(Diagram 1).
Frequency group and Channel selection:
Press the “SET” button (3 on section “7.1. Front Panel:” at page 8), the
“Group” icon will flash.
Press “UP” or “DOWN” to select suitable frequency group number, as shown in
Diagram 2 on the left.
Press the “SET” again to confirm. Now the “CHANNEL” icon
will flash.
Press “UP” or “DOWN” to select suitable channel, as shown in Diagram 3 on the
left, then press “SET” to confirm.
NOTE: When using multiple systems simultaneously, please choose distant
groups in order to avoid interference.
Working Mode Selection:
Press the “SET” button (3 on section “7.1. Front Panel:” at page 8) until
“STEREO” flashes.
Press the “UP” or “DOWN” button to choose between STEREO and
MONO, then press “SET” again to confirm (Diagram 4).
NOTE: If no button is pressed during any setup operation for at least 5
seconds, the system automatically exits the setup mode and icons stop
flashing.
9.2. Body-pack Receiver Programming
Power ON/OFF:
Turn ON the system by pressing the “ON/OFF” Button (7 on section “8. BODY-
PACK RECEIVER FEATURES:” at page 9).
LCD screen will display the current group, channel, frequency, type of signal
(stereo/mono), signal strenght and battery status.
NOTE: The display lighting is programmed to go off after about 10 seconds
of inactivity, in order to reduce battery consumption.
Frequencies Group and Channel Selection:
Press the “SET” button, (9 on section “8. BODY-PACK RECEIVER FEATURES:” at
page 9), the “Group” icon will flash.
Press “UP or DOWN” to select a group, then press “SET” again to confirm.
Now the “CHANNEL” icon will flash.
Press “UP” or “DOWN” to select suitable channel.
Press “SET” again to confirm.
MONO or STEREO Mode Selection: Press “SET” until the “STEREO” / ”MONO”
icons are flashing.
Press “UP” or “DOWN” to choose between “STEREO” or “MONO”.
Press “SET” again to confirm the change.
NOTE: The display lighting is programmed to go off after about 10 seconds
of inactivity, in order to reduce battery consumption.
RF signal Indication: The receiver altogether has five levels of RF
signal indication.
This function is useful to choose the interference-free frequen- cies and
install the better the system, so as to ensure the best operation.
AUDIO CONNECTIONS
You need XLR balanced cables for connections to your audio equipment. See the
pictures below that show the internal wiring of these cables. Be sure to use

will be jumped

You can, of course, connect even unbalanced equipment to balanced outputs. Use
either mono and stereo jack, making sure ring and collar are connected
together (or pins 1 & 3 in the case of XLR connectors).

RACK MOUNTING TRANSMITTER

NOTE: The kit doesn’t include screws to fasten the whole block (receiver and adapters) to the 19” rack chassis.
11.1. Installing the rack-mounting kit- Remove the two screws on both sides of the transmitter.
- Place the A plate so that the two lateral holes correspond to those on the side of the transmitter.
- Attach the two screws as shown.
- Repeat steps 1 to 3 on the other side of the transmitter by B plate instead of A one.
- Screw the antenna extension cable to the connector on the rear panel of the transmitter. Attach the other end of the cable to the panel so that you can then screw the antenna externally to the rack.

WARRANTY AND SERVICE
All SOUNDSATION products feature a limited two-year warranty. This two-year
warranty is specific to the date of purchase as shown on your purchase
receipt.
The following cases/components are not covered from the above warranty:
- Any accessories supplied with the product
- Improper use
- Fault due to wear and tear
- Any modification of the product effected by the user or a third party
SOUNDSATION shall satisfy the warranty obligations by remedying any material
or manufacturing faults free of charge at SOUNDSATION’s discretion either by
repair or by exchanging individual parts or the entire appliance. Any
defective parts removed from a product during the course of a warranty claim
shall become the property of SOUNDSATION.
While under warranty period, defective products may be returned to your local
SOUNDSATION dealer together with original proof of purchase. To avoid any
damages in transit, please use the original packaging if available.
Alternatively you can send the product to SOUNDSATION SERVICE CENTER – Via
Enzo Ferrari , 10 – 62017 Porto Recanati – Italy . In order to send a product
to service center you need an RMA number. Shipping charges have to be covered
by the owner of the product.
